TS1702 This is a reasonable start. However, my iPod Touch does not download any apps, nor does it update existing one's. Any idea what is the possible cause of this?
The app starts to appear, and immediately stays in "waiting". Never does go further than this.

it's weird , your device is not jailbreraked and it crashes? my device is jailbreaked and i almost have the same problems.
look, to avoid these problems:
1- dont open too much apps , and if you do , close them by multitasking menu.
2-try sometimes to turn off and on your device , its like refreshing ( called "respringing" in jailbreaked devices.
if you have the same problem , see an apple specialist.

I can download photos to my computer via my Ipod Touch but not a video of 833mb yet I can send it to my FB account on the same said device, does this make any sense?

Windows XP can't import video files larger than 500 MB using Camera and Scanner Wizard. You can transfer these files from your device by selecting them in My Computer and dragging or copying the files to your computer's hard drive. -

Symptoms
A purplish or other colored flare, haze, or spot is imaged from out-of-scene bright light sources during still image or video capture.
Resolution
Most small cameras, including those in every generation of iPhone, may exhibit some form of flare at the edge of the frame when capturing an image with out-of-scene light sources. This can happen when a light source is positioned at an angle (usually just outside the field of view) so that it causes a reflection off the surfaces inside the camera module and onto the camera sensor. Moving the camera slightly to change the position at which the bright light is entering the lens, or shielding the lens with your hand, should minimize or eliminate the effect.

In the force quit menu? It's not just Illustrator but virtually every program, I just happen to be in Illustrator 80% of the day. The machine is doing it constantly, even after a total wipe of the drive and fresh installation of the OS.
I just get the spinning wheel that lasts forever until I force quit the app. then there's always a (not responding) next to it.
By the way, I'm on an older Quicksilver not the machine in my sig.
Thanks.it has 1.5 GB RAM and about 250GB free on on startup HD along with another HD of 300GB and then a thrid HD of 20GB.
I'm just trying to figure out what, in general, the (not responding) is usually caused by? Bad RAM, processor, HD?
Again, it was doing this so bad that we decided to just give up and wipe the drive clean and fresh install. -

My itunes has stopped playing music. I recently downloaded more music and now it has stopped playing, it says it is playing but there is no sound and the time bar does not move from 0. I have uninstalled all apple apps on my laptop and reinstalled and then updated the software. I have tried 'repair' aswell but nothing has worked.

I'm having similar issues with my phone. I got my first iPhone recently, only had an iPod touch gen4 for a little over a year. Updated to 6.0.2 when we got the phone (iPhone 5) a few days before Christmas. When I got home on the evening of January 11, my phone would not connect the router anymore. I was able to get it to connect after resetting the phone and the router, updating the router, and manually connecting. That laste for a few minutes and then wouldn't work anymore. I live in an area with very limited service, we have a network extender installed to help, and I am barely getting a 3G signal at times.
My wife's iPad 4, my touchiPod 4, and all of our laptops are working just fine on the router. When I dropped my kid off at school today, I noticed that I am not even seeing the school network anymore from the parking lot where before I got 3 or 4 bars and could connect to their wifi when I was there. Today my phone goes back and forth between seeing my home network but not connecting, to not even seeing the network at all even from the same room that the router is in.

I am trying to open my Preview application to view a PDF. However nothing opens and an error message, "Error -1712" pops up. Any ideas what I can do to resolve this?
Restart. If an application won't quit and prevents restarting, select
▹ Force Quit...
from the menu bar, then select the frozen application from the list and press return. As a last resort, force a shutdown by holding down the power button for a few seconds. Then press it again briefly to start up. Test. -
