I did the same thing. Very frustutating. Open FB through Safari, desktop version. Go to photos, click upload. It will tell you it's not supported etc but it will give you the option of adding the mobile FB app. I clicked on it just to see and it's the old version so it worked! I'm back in business with the old compatible app for 3G

I updated my applications and now I can not open any of them.

How are you trying to open them? From your description it sounds like you are opening the Application Manager.

One of the suggestions probably was to try starting Firefox in its Safe Mode by holding down the shift key when starting Firefox. (This doesn't work if Firefox is still running hidden in memory.)
In the small dialog that should appear, click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset)

You must have screen rotation locked. Double click the home button then swipe with your finger on the button of the screen all the way to the right. Then you will see a square with a circular arrow or a padlock in it. Tap on that to unlock t he screen.

On you iPad, force close all the Apps in the multitask window.
Follow these steps to force an app to close:
From the Home screen, click the Home button twice.
Tap and hold on the app.
When it starts to jiggle, tap the to close it on by one until all cleared
Now do a Soft reset of your iPad:
Hold both Home and Sleep button for around 10secs until you see the Apple logo then release. After it returns to Home screen, try your Apps again and see if this resolves the issue.
