When I try to update apps I get a circle with small black square inside of it?
This black square with circle will change to "Open" when update is completed.

It's an Internet address location of some type; these include mailto locations. It can safely be removed.

You need to delete those applications and redownload or repurchase them from your Apple ID.

I have an ipod and latly I can't open iTunes store and download music when I push that icon it only shows an 10.0 upgrade i<ve upgraded and woun't me bypass and get songs. what do I do?

windows live calendar has become intermittent. by that I mean that when I push calendar icon when on hotmail email page it sometimes does not go to the calendar. it says "server not found" and "done" in lower left corner of page

When using my ipad air it keeps coming off the page I'm on or app I am using and going back to the home screen. Also when using my ipad the screen will go white with a black apple icon in the middle for about 20 seconds then it makes a ping sound and goes to the home screen. Could anyone help please. When ever iTunes updates, it ends up coming up with error message, iTunes did not install properly, please re-install iTunes, this is about the fourth time this has happened, end up having to take it to computer tech at a cost of $180, please help

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. I have a problem with iphoto (have a mac book pro): the icon in the dock appears with a question mark, and the application is gone!!! Can someone tell what's going on? Yesterday I had the same problem with itunes: I downloaded the last version (it's free), but I cannot do the same with iphoto, and more important: I need to know what is happening!!! Please help me!
Applications should not disappear all by themselves.
If they are then that coud indicate serious problems with your hard drive.
Backup everything up as quickly as possible.
Using Disk Utility verify your system disk.

When trying to update my apps on my iphone my husband's Apple ID pops up. How can I change to my Apple ID?
If you have apps purchased from more than one account that need updating you have top update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account. As the other replier said, you have to log into the account that purchased than app to update it.

I had the same issue all i had to do was go into settings > general > cellular > itunes > ON then go back to the first settings > iTunes & App Stores > Use Cellular Data > ON
i had 5 days of trying to fix this with no help from apple, i also dont have wifi at home, but found if i went out could use wifi to access itunes, so went home and played with my phone and YAY FINALLY FIXED!
Hope this helps everyone and maybe apple will let everyone know that after the update some phones automaticly switch cellular use off, i tried everything from changing the date forward to factory restoring my phone none of which fixed it

When I saved a file an extra file appears with ~ at end of the file name
When I work on my file named "Track 2005-2006" and then save it, I end up with 2 iMovie Project Files:
1. Named "Track 2005-2006,
2. and one named:"Track 2005-2006~"
Then sometimes I'll get an iMovie Project File named:
"Track 2005-2006.iMovie2Project"
What is up with that? They all seem to be identical...but as I edit them individually they start to become diffferent. I can't keep track of which one I am working on.
Why do all these different file names show up?

Usually they are not identical, which can lead to problems.
The project file that ends with ".iMovie2Project" exists only in projects that have been converted from iMovie 1-4 to iMovie 6.
The other two project files — one with a tilde and one without — exist in all iMovie 6 projects. One is the current version of the project — created when you last saved. The tilde file is the project as it was BEFORE you last saved.
A true iMovie 6 is a package designed, in part, so we can't easily access these project files. We simply double-click on the project package icon and the correct project file opens. (The one WITHOUT the tilde.)
Unfortunately, projects converted to iMovie 6 use a traditional folder instead of a package, allowing the user to see the three project files. This can lead to confusion, for the user may open the wrong project file by double-clicking on it. Double-clicking on the tilde file opens the project as it once existed, not the current version, which is confusing. Then when you save, iMovie creates yet another project file with two tildes. You can end up creating quite a mess.
To avoid this confusion after converting an old iMovie project to iMovie 6 it's a good idea to open the project and choose Save As to create a new copy of the project. The new copy will be a true iMovie package and work like other iMovie 6 projects. Then you can discard the converted project.

It turns out this is NOT a bug in Apple's Java implementation, but in the AAT rendering engine. In any application, if a user changes the style of part of an Arabic string, it breaks the font connection. I have been informed though that this has already been fixed, and should be functional when Leopard is released. ALL applications that use AAT suffer from this problem, not just Java. -

I had this same problem when I tried to update. It locked up during the update. Your phone is in recovery mode. The only way I could restore my phone was to connect to a different computer and ask it to restore my phone. It worked and thanks to the fact that I had backed everything up to the iCloud before updating, everything is back to normal. I won't be updating to IOS 6.2.1 again. I had also updated iTunes and now whenever it starts it gives me an error message -42110 and doesn't recognize my Iphone when it's connected. Hopefully, Apple will fix this soon. Good luck.

I think I pushed assistance touch and now the phone tells me what each button does but I cant get it to do anything without pounding my finger on an icon or letter innumerable times, it wont scroll back and forth and won't quit talking... help
That's the Voice Over Feature.
Tap the Settings icon once to select it and then Double Tap on the Settings icon to activate it.
Use 3 fingers to scroll down to General, tap it once again to select it, and then twice to activate it.
Again use 3 fingers to scroll down to Accessibility, again tap once to select, then twice to activate.
Tap on Voice Over once to select it, and twice to actvate it and then tap once on Voice Over, and then tap twice to turn it off. -
Hi - while attempting to update apps from the "App Store" the message "Cannot connect to the iTunes Store" but am not asked for a password or user id BUT I have no problem connecting to the iTunes store directly.
