2 months ago my iTunes dj (0n my ASUS PC) lost its ability to shuffle. It will not allow me to turn "shuffle" on, and "refresh" does not work either.
Just connect the new iPod to your computer and setup the iPod via iTunes (instead of via wifi).

Thanks in advance.Removing the SC Folder worked for me. But as an after thought and another potential problem although I do not think it is related, I had movies authorized thru my wifes Apple ID and she changed her ID a couple weeks ago. This, I think, could have had a contributing factor although not sure.
You have to delete the SC Folder and then reboot and then go into iTunes, re-authorize if it asks, then I was able to sync the movies. Hope this helps a little. -
I download Flash player, proceed through the steps, but it takes me to a page where Adobe wants me to buy photoshop and other products and no way to bypass this and just get on with the installation without buying anything. Anyone out there know how to do it?

No purchase is required to install Flash Player. The offer you're seeing is optional. There should be a yellow 'Install Now' button on the bottom right of the page. Is the button not displaying? Please post a screenshot of the page (How to post a screenshot in the forum).

Does anyone out there know how to solve this one?
I have no music on my computer. All of the music that used to be there is still on my ipod, however. I don't want to put the music back on the computer from the ipod but I would like to put songs into my itunes, transfer them to the ipod without losing the music that is currently on the ipod. Can I do that? Or when I hook up the ipod will it erase everything that is currently on there? thanks to anyone who can answer!

But I would not recommend syncing this way as the iPod could need to be restored if it ever encounters problems and you would be out of an entire library.

My dad has recently gotten a new phone and I got his old one. With his permission I restored it to factory settings and set up the iPhone 4 as a new phone with my apple id. Everything has downloaded fine but I have had many problems with my music. First it was where my phone didnt recognise my apple id, but I figured that out. Then it was where iTunes took one of my albums and split it so all the songs where their own albums. I fixed the album split on iTunes but its still like that on my iPhone. I have looked online everywhere and I still haven't found a solution! I'm getting super frustrated! Does anybody know how to fix this?
No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that. -
My MacBook Air display shows only the desktop background, the dock has disappeared. Does anyone know how to restore the dock to the desktop? thanks
The dock can be configured to automatically show and hide when moving the mouse cursor over the current location. You can try to move the mouse over the dock area to see if it appears. Hopefully it will, and if you don't want that setting you can then change it to show permanently in the System Preferences > Dock settings.
If that doesn't work you can change the dock location in the preference settings to align on a different side of the window to see if it appears. That's all I can suggest at the moment.

After contacting Apple, I received a reply from their engineers:
Copy QTMovieWin.dll from: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
to: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
And that did the trick.

about a yar ago my ipod went off and wouldnt turn on. i can finallly get it to turn on now but all it will show is a screen of the aple charger with and arrow pointing to the circle itunes app. does anyone know how to fix this?

When playing music there is no shuffle button like there was before... On the playlist there is a shuffle bar but this does nothing when I touch it. It's either stuck on my music is messed up.

Select the album artwork area for the song playing to reveal the scrubber for the song.
Is the color of the icon located at the right of the scrubber blue?
If so, that is the shuffle icon and blue means shuffle is on. Select the icon to turn shuffle off. White means off. -
iTunes could not connect to iTunes store. An unknown error occurred (-3212) - Does anyone know how to fix this? I've tried alot of solutions and nothing seems to be working at all
Each time I try to connect to the iTunes store, this has popped up. I googled error (-3212) and also followed the steps on iTunes support. I downloaded the new itunes and chose "repair files" all to no prevail. I use iTunes on a daily basis and bought and iTunes card 2 weeks ago which I now cannot use. When I try to download the latest version of iTunes from apple.com, I get the message "Content was blocked because it was not signed by a valid security certificate."When I open iTunes and try to download the latest version there, I get the message "iTunes has an invalid signature. The download has been removed." I have also gotten an Internet Script Error stating that an error has occured in Line 0, Char O and that "Access is denied to images.apple.com/global/scripts/lib/iepngfix.htc." This problem has never occurred with earlier versions of ITunes. Anyone know how to fix this problem?
Are you downloading iTunes form an Apple website or somewhere else? If the answer is somewhere else, try downloading it from Apple. Click on iTunes in the black menu bar above and go from there.
