TS1717 cannot open iTunes, compatibility problems with windows

cannot update phone, the programme wont open, have uninstalled and installed a coiuple times, can you post a link to a compatible version please

Can you check something for me please?
Restart your PC. after the PC restarts, bring up your Task manager, and go to the "Processes" tab. Click "Image name" to sort the processes alphabetically.
Now try to launch iTunes.
Does an itunes.exe process appear? If so, does it vanish after a second or so, or does it persist in the Processes tab (even though iTunes itself never shows up)?

  • ITunes compatibility problems with Windows 8 Pro with Media Center

I get this message on my screen:
iTunes.exe has been set to run in compatibility mode for an older version of Windows. For best results, turn off compatibility mode for iTunes before you open it.
When I open my iTunes the only music I can see is that which I downloaded from iTunes; the other music I have which I have physically loaded via CD, although on my PC and playable through Media Center is unobtainable through my iTunes home window.
Can anybody help me fathom this out?

    Hi
    Welcome To Lenovo Community
We are really sorry to hear about the issue you are facing,
Usually, a computer can appear to hang (stop responding) in the situations of insufficient system resources, high CPU usage, high disk usage, deadlock in kernel mode or key system processes, or hardware problem.
You can check if this hang issue usually hangs when high load, that may points to a resource issue, enable perfmon log to located which process caused that.
Regarding to the deadloack issue, based on my experience, most of these issues caused by the outdated driver, refer to the following action plans:
    ==========
    1. upgrade all the hardware driver, firmware, BIOS.
    2. upgrade the AV software.
    3. Run disk check, if there is build-in hardware health Diagnostics Utility, also run it.

  • Cannot Open iTunes Store Receipt With Windows 7/Outlook 2010

After making my first iTunes purchase on a new computer, every attempt to open the purchase notification e-mail from Apple causes Outlook 2010 to crash.
All Outlook Add-Ins have been removed or disabled.
No other e-mails are similarly affected.
During the crash a process called "Default IME" is also running.
Please advise how to get Apple e-mails in a non-crashing way. Thank you.

Here is an update to my previous post.
All of my e-mails are organized so I have all previous e-mails from Apple.
Every single purchase notification e-mail from Apple, after a certain date, causes Outlook 2010 to crash.
For example, those from 2005 do not crash. Those from 2009 do.

  • Cannot download iTunes to PC with Windows XP and service pack 3. When I hit "download" it goes straight to the thank you screen but does not download anything!

Cannot download iTunes to PC with Windows XP and service pack 3. When I hit "download now" it goes stright to the "thanks for downloading" screen but downloads nothing.

I can't answer that. I'm just a user. Apple makes it decisions and does not share that with anyone here as you well know. Apple has also stopped supporting syncing contacts and calendar with the latest version of OS X, Mavericks. Users have to use iCloud. Many are not happy about that. Let Apple know how you feel here: www.apple.com/feedback and click on the appropriate link.

  • I cannot open i tunes store with windows 7 i get  fault code 11222 can anyone help

Can anyone help .   I cannot open i tunes store on my lap top using windows 7.
    I get error code 11222 .

The 11222s can sometimes be associated with LSP issues.
    I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

  • ITunes "severe problem" with Windows XP Pro - Version: 6.0.2

I installed iTunes 6.0.2. It worked fine at very first time after that it refuses to reconzie my iPod. After installing iTunes, when i connect the iPod i got the New device found icon in the system tray and my iTunes got opened with my iPod detect in that. Then i uploaded my songs photos in it. Then safely removed my iPod. The next time onwards i connect my iPod my Windows XP detects it show icon in the system tray for new device found open iTunes but iPod is not detected in iTunes I tried install/uninstall/repair everything with iPod and iTune. (Tried all the possible combination and evrytime ending up my box rebooting...pathetic with no results )
I can't believe that Apple is boneheaded enough to release a version of iTunes that was buggy to Windows XP Prof machines, so if anyone figures out what's specifically wrong with a few including mine, please shout out.

Chech this link..i am not the only one

Tried everything still telling me that the program is incompatable and this problem is with the adobe reader can you please help?

"Sweet Jesus, do you think you have enough security software? It's a wonder you can even boot the thing without FBI approval and an armed NSA team standing behind you."
Seriously though... I did professional testing of antivirus software at Intuit for about six months in 2004 and the ONE thing I learned foremost from it was:
Mixing antivirus programs does more harm than good in 99.999% of cases.
I also have a serious problem with Microsoft (in)Security Essentials. I spent six hours reformatting my brother's office computer in May because MSE was unable to detect or prevent the FBI "Ransomware" virus from infecting and taking over his PC. Microsoft is the primary reason that anti-virus software exists in the first place. They built Windows so full of "gaping" security holes, that they're STILL patching them in XP thirteen years after they released it.. just how good can their security software be if they can't identify all of the security flaws that have been in their OS since 2000?
At least you don't have Norton or McAfee installed... (yet). Getting rid of those is more trouble than removing a virus. Find youraelf a good solid antivirus app like TrendMicro or AVG and stick with it. Get rid of all that other stuff as it's causing conflicts in your system whether you see them or not. This errant incompatibility message is a good (or maybe bad) sign that things are starting to act up.

  • Error message R6034 appears when trying to open itunes. Problems with C library?

itunes will not open on my laptop. Error message R6034 appears:
"Runtime Error! An application has made an attempt to load the C library incorrectly"
I've uninstalled itunes an tried to reinstall with no success! Please help!

  • Cannot download iTunes. Problem with Runtime errror what do I do please?

I need to know what to do. I keep getting a message telling me iTunes is trying to open runtime incorrectly and to contact iTunes. But of course thats easier said than done. All I want to do is download the update. To be honest I'd be content if I could redown load the old version. Any Ideas please?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • I have a 6th Gen ipod nano. Is there a compatability problem with Windows 8.1?

My 6th gen ipod nano is not being recognised in itunes. I have tried all the suggestions in the itunes troubleshooting section without success. I am running Windows 8.1 , is there a chance of an incompatability problem here?

I have tried all the suggestions in the itunes troubleshooting section without success.
Doublechecking. Have you also tried a complete uninstall of both iTunes and all the other related software components and then a reinstall? If not, try the instructions from the following document:

  • ITunes causing problems with Windows XP pro

I recently installed iTunes on my laptop. It has XP pro. itunes worked well, I even purchased music and successfully downloaded it onto my iPod. But since installing iTunes, my computer has been acting strangely. At times, it won't shut down, or won't close programs that are open. I finally removed all iTunes files and uninstalled iTunes and Quicktime. Now my computer works again fine. I have good spyware programs (I think) and antivirus and firewall by Norton. Any suggestions on what is wrong....why did iTunes seem to mess up my computer?

    hiya!
just doing a bit of preliminary checking on a couple of things.
But since installing iTunes, my computer has been acting strangely. At times, it won't shut down,
hmmmmm. were you getting some strange end program dialog boxes showing up during the slow shutdowns? in particular were you getting a "ccApp.exe" end program dialog box?
by any chance, is that Norton Internet Security 2005 that you have installed on that PC?
