TS1717 I recentlu upgraded to the latest itunes version, I have now tried to open itunes for the first time since upgrading, no I find I have not got permission to open itunes. It will not launch at all???? Any ideas???

It can't do that by itself. You had to click through several prompts telling it to restore it from a backup of an old phone for that to happen.
If the phone was not backed up to iCloud before this happened, or to another computer, then the data is gone. There is no way to recover it. -

I get the strong feeling that you did not read my earlier response. Apps @ 4.71GB. Android OS @ 3.52GB. Everything else is in the low MBs, since I keep everything I can on my SD card.
If you would like more detail, "Android OS 3.52GB" "Available 467MB" "Apps 4.69GB" "Pictures 24.70MB" "Audio 214KB" "Downloads 1.30MB" "Cached data 57.74MB" "Misc. 101MB".
I regularly move screenshots and any other pictures that somehow end up in my internal storage. I also do not text nearly enough for the memory to be eaten up at the rate that my memory appears to be eaten up. I do delete old threads fairly regularly. -
If I do need to go back a version, any suggestions or links on doing this w/o losing any bookmarks or settings? Complete uninstall/reinstall? I've not had to do this kind of thing before. Thanks!
You might try using the add-on 'NoSquint' which allows numerous zoom options specific to each page you visit & keeps your settings - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nosquint/

In most cases you can simply "upgrade" (meaning downgrade) directly from the installation. It would be a good idea to save your passwords & bookmarks just to be on the safe side. -

#2 - take the iPod Nano to an Apple store or an AASP. Whichever is more convenient for you. -

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I just updated my OS X to 10.8.5 and still have iPhoto '11 v9.2.3. I have been unable to find if there is a newer compatible version of iPhoto; while I know that iPhoto 9.5.1 is incompatible with Mountain Lion.Do you know where I can get it?
If you have a version of iPhoto '11 installed, try the updater, that Terence Devlin linked to. If you do not already own a version iphoto '11, buy an installer disk from for iLife '11 from Amazon or eBay. You cannot download a full installer for free, only updates. -
Have been trying to login to facetime, first time since upgrading, and it keeps telling me there is a problem connecting. Wifi is working fine. Reset network settings and also rebooted. What else can I try, please?
Try reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings will be reset. -
My iPod shuffle ( 1st or 2nd generation) will not recharge and does not show when the doc is connected to my MacBook Pro. I'm running the latest updated version of iTunes.

I have 2 touch's that froze when trying to update to the latest ios version. Neither respond to restarting the devices. They are also not recognized in windows or itunes. How do I get these to work. I followed all of the instructions on the apple website and they still don't work. I have verified that I have apple support for mobile devices installed in itunes and my version of itunes is 11.0.1. My old iMac and OS 10.4 will not accept the New iTunes Version 10 application and I can't get past the screen offering to download iTunes 10. This is wrong and I need help getting past this situation. Help!
Sure, you can get around it if you don't need the newest version of iTunes. I still use version 7.5 because the newer versions didn't strike me as offering anything I needed.
If you do need a version 10-something then you will have to upgrade your operating system to Leopard (fi your computer will support it) at least. If you need 10.5 for some reason then there's no getting around it, you will have to buy a new computer. -

I was in the middle of the latest update and my iPhone now says it needs to restored will I be able to back it up first. I have photos on it I can NOT lose
It should have backed up automatically at the start of the update process. And you should be saving photos from your phone to your computer regularly, just like you would with any digital camera. If you were not doing this you MAY lose the photos, but if your backup at the start of the update was successful you will not. Just DO NOT sync after the update, until you have restore the backup and verified that it is OK.
What error message did you get during the update? Before you restore do the following:
Reboot your computer
Connect to a USB port on the computer directly, not a hub
disable your antivirus and firewall
Launch iTunes
Finally, connect the phone and restore. -
i upgraded to the new itunes version 7 and now my podcasts on my iphone4 won't work. i get an error message "temporarily unavailable". has anyone found a solution to be able to listen to podcasts? thanks
I have the same problem, but don't expect Apple to help! I rang their help line and explained the situation and that the same experience is reported all over their forum and they would not assist unless I paid for a one year help subsciption.
This company has lost the plot! They create software that universally will not work then expect customers to pay to have it fixed. Technically I should walk straight into the nearest apple shop and ask for a refund, as the device is no longer fit for purpose!

When i tried updating my iphone 4 to the latest IOS version 7.1.1 it was updating until the end of the update where it had an icon which said connect to itunes. When i try connecting to itunes on my laptop it still doesnt program, by the way my itunes has the latest updae. Why is this? How can i fix it?

It sounds like you had been updating the phone and now it is in recovery mode. Take a look at this info first:
If you started your device in recovery mode by mistake, restart it to exit recovery mode. Or you can just wait—after 15 minutes the device will exit recovery mode by itself.
If you are unable to get out of Recovery Mode, use the following article to restore your device with iTunes:
