TS1717 iTunes tends to freeze MacBook in many different ways?

Since I moved from Belgium to Australia following problem occurs:
- When my Macbook Pro (OS X Lion 10.7.5) gets out of (screen)sleepmode when running music on iTunes the computer freezes and the song that was playing gets stuck on the last note.
- When I close Itunes and I have another (soundcard using?) application running, for instance Skype, everything is fine, just untill I close that application. If I close it, the entire computer freezes again. Same problem occures when using Garage Band, DivX, QuickTime, iMovie,... in combination with iTunes.
Could this problem have anything to do with me moving to a different country (area conflict...)?
In order to use iTunes without freezing the computer I now have to close every application that's running before opening iTunes and restarting the computer every time I stop using iTunes. Is there a solution for my problem?

Well...I was partially-blind.
I had a second look at my MSCONFIG list...and 'waay down at the bottom was iTunesHelper...with its checkbox clear. oops.
I ticked it of course, and then manually launched iTunesHelper.exe and re-connected the iPhone. iTunes auto-launched, and (as usual) it stepped thru the various stages like it's supposed to, but still no pop-up message on the iPhone screen.
Now I'm wondering if that came to an end when I made the jump to the iPhone5 from iPhone4(?) because it certainly seems to be syncing alright...just no pop-up on the iPhone's screen.

I followed a procedure described in a book.
1. insert "Inventory.xml" file to a project "WpfXmlDataBinding" .
2. add the XML data source through the data panel of "blend for 2013", named it "InventoryXmlDataStore" and store it in the current document.
3. dragged and droppped the nodes from the Data panel onto the artboard.
Then I checked my Xaml file against the one provided by the book

All looks quite the same except the <XmlDataProvider ....> part under <Window.Resources>, which is gone completely in my Xaml file.

Never do yourself down Richard.
Leave that to other people.
It's quite common for smart developers to think they're not as good as they are.
I coach a fair bit and it's a surprisingly common feeling.
And to repeat.
Never use anything ends .. provider. They're for trivial demo apps. Transform xml into objects and use them. Write it back as xml. Preferably, use a database.
You want to read a little mvvm theory first.

ITunes on 1 Win PC - how many different users/devices can share

Field techies have iPhones but only 1 WinPC in office with iTunes installed....how many users can create new libraries sharing this installed iTunes v10.x??? - to create new library from what I read - hold down shift key while opening iTunes and create new library...any knowledge is appreciated. Users will not share any files from other users, just want them to be able to upgrade when necessary. thanks in advance!

They all have their own windows user ID, right? If so, they will already have their own ITL database file and won't need to do the shift-start. It would be method 1 from this article.

As far as the limit, I suppose that depends on the size of the hard drive, and whether they're storing their media on it, or a server. iPhones also don't do well syncing to several PCs, not sure if your field techies realize that.

I am using Crystal Report XI and can not go to Release 2. I am creating a file that will ultimately go into a CSV file. To keep my formatting and empty columns I first export to EXCEL dataonly --> And use the default settings. Then from within Excel I save as a csv. Then view in notepad to see my commas.
I have a field with "" to create empty columns. So for having 16 empty columns at the end of the file, I have that field 17 times. I am having 2 problems.
1. Adds a space to the front of my date. I have a date field with custom formatting. It exports fine except that it has a space in the front in XCEL and then in my csv.
2. Also at the end of the file I have many empty columns that I have to have. It is cutting off 10 empty columns from my details section but then adding them to my header row.
Any ideas why this would happen, or any ideas of the best way that I should add empty columns (which are commas in the csv) so that they are consistent instead of dropping off like I mentioned above?

This way you will get comma seperated data, without having to use CSV format.

Hi Tom,
your normal BPEL process (a regular process you create with the "new BPEL process" wizard), can be configured in Oracle application server to be accessible
- via SOAP over HTTP or
- via JMS
since it is has a WSDL based service interface.
JDeveloper as well allows additionally more options for starting a BPEL process such as a file based interface, an e-mail as a starter etc.
Still, I like to see the ESB as a virtualizer of the endpoint protocol, so I suggest you model the BPEL process regularly, exposing its functionality through WSDL and use ESB services that wrap your BPEL process to deal with the actual endpoints.

How many different ways of dynamically displaying a text?

Hi folks,
I've been assigned to work on the following:
The SapScript form on which I am supposed to work, currently has hard coded text with some variables such as name of the customer, order number, special info, etc, coming from the driver program.
I must change the form such that depending on the company code there would be a different logo, different header, different footer, different body of text, some with extra paragraphs added, removed, etc... The general layout of the form remains the same throughout.
So in other words, this SapScript form must be dynamic enough to be able to accommodate all these demand.
The customer would ultimately like to update a table or tables and the text in the SapScript form is changed accordingly and without any programming effort.
Different copies of the same form is not an option because company codes come and go and change rather frequently.
So, how would you go about it?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

It's a very good practice to have only one SAP script. However ideally you do not have to touch the pgm if say a new company is added.
This can be achieved as below:
DATA: w_VAR1(30),
     w_i(1).
CALL FUNCTION 'OPEN_FORM'
       EXPORTING
            device = 'PRINTER'
            form   = 'ZKIL'.
    w_i = '1'.
    Concatenate   'AMEND_HEADING' w_i into w_var1.
    CALL FUNCTION 'WRITE_FORM'
         EXPORTING
              element = w_VAR1
              window = 'MAIN'.
CALL FUNCTION 'CLOSE_FORM'
       EXPORTING
            device = 'PRINTER'
            form   = 'ZKIL'.
In the above pgm there are 2 text elements defined in SAP script ZKIL viz. AMEND_HEADING1 & AMEND_HEADING2. In the driver pgm get the company code & put in w_i which should be defined as CHAR 4. so that all your text element name should be derived by Concatenating 'Text element name' & w_i & then use that variable in FM WRITE_FORM so that even if tomorrow a new company is added only a corresponding text elements need to be added in SAP SCRIPT & no changes are required in the pgm.

For what you want to do, the 'Camera Blur' effect (Windows only)
will work much better than Gaussian Blur.
Add the effect to the clip (or to an Adjustment Layer above to the clip),
then use keyframes to change the amount of blur over a specified
period of time.

ITunes freezes MacBook Pro

Recently, my MacBook Pro (early 2010) started locking up to where only the mouse moves, but nothing else works. The culprit seems to be iTunes, as the freezes tend to occur after I launch iTunes (although not the first launch - more on this). After several hours of normal operation, popping into iTunes freezes things up. I have found that by hard rebooting into safe mode, launching iTunes there and allowing it to load normally, then rebooting in "normal" mode lets things work for several hours. Could it be something with my library? It's on my local drive. I ask about the library because in safe mode, that's always the first thing I see when launching iTunes, a dialog saying the library is loading.
Anyway, getting pretty frustrated, and wondering if I need to start reinstalling things...

Oh, and I remember more about how this started. Recently, my battery died while using it - it went down to close to zero and hibernated, and it wouldn't come back out even when I plugged it in again, so I had to hold the power button to get it to boot up again. Since then, iTunes has been doing its thing.

Just user to user....based on past and current history, Adobe Tech Support is not going to help you with a technical issue which is preventing you from using your purchased serial number for Photoshop Elements. Version 12 is not the current version. And, the Adobe Tech Support is limited even for the current version which is 13. If this matter involves a purchased activated serial number trapped on a crashed computer while you are trying to install on a 3rd computer, then probably Adobe Chat Activation can be of assistance. I have the exact same problem trying to use the Remote app on both my iPhone 3gs and iPad 2 with either my Mac or ATV2. My Remote app used to work on my phone - I can't recall if I ever actually used it with my iPad, but when I tried today, I got all the same results as you did (on both iPad, and then iPhone). I was using my ATV2 to play music from iTunes on my Mac and wanted to use the Remote app, but it would not connect to either device no matter what I did.

Sounds like a hardware issue.
Did you buy the system from Apple? If so how recent is recent? If it is new you have 14 days to return it, not sure what the situation is with refurb systems. If it is over 14 days you should still have warranty support make an appointment at an Apple Store or contact Apple support.
If you bought it from someone other then Apple you will need to contact them.

Ok so I've tried opening iTunes in safe mode and creating a new account but neither seems to work. ITunes continues to freeze when I try to sync my ipod up to the computer. I know it isn't my computer because iTunes is the only program that freezes up. If anyone has a solution to this please help. I'm getting frustrated.

Since downloading Itunes 11.0.1 (12), Itunes can't locate or play many songs but the same songs still play on my synched iPod. I have a MacBook Air, Lion OS, Itunes version 11.0.1 (12). I didn't see this problem with older versions of Itunes. I do not manually change the organization of the Itunes library. I use the Itunes "add to library" feature or Amazon's MP3 downloader. Sometimes, however, I have changed song information in the "info" window. Such as unchecking the "compilation" button and sorting by artist (for that song), so that I can search by artist in the top pane of Itunes (otherwise the song is sorted in an album that is a "compilation," but not under the name of the artist who sang a particular song. I've done this without problem in the past, but perhaps the newer version of Itunes can't handle the changes I made and has lost track of where the older version of Itunes stored such songs? How do I fix all these older previously ok changes if that's the case... If I could just find where they are stored in Itunes it would be easier perhaps. I've looked in compilations, unknown artist, and so forth to no avail. And Finder search can't find them.
Details: suddenly, many songs are marked with "!," denoting that Itunes cannot find the songs in the library and cannot play them. Oddly, my iPod CAN play the "unlocatable" songs with no problem (it has been synched "post problem"). So the songs are still there somewhere in the Itunes library. This problem occurs by album, that is, all songs from the same album become unlocatable, although different albums by the same artist may still be found and played.
Exploring the Itunes library to try to locate the missing albums/songs, I discovered that generally there is no longer any folder specified for any artist associated with a missing album [artist is the top level of organization and album is the second; compilations are in the same folder]. This is true even if I have other albums from the same artist which Itunes IS able to locate. I cannot find a single song/album by such artists anywhere in the Itunes file system, even the ones that Itunes can still play. If I right click and "get info" for an unlocatable song, I get a notification box that asks if I want to locate the file. If I click "no," next thing-- the info window for the song pops up, with all the correct info (including sort info, which I double check)! Why is Itunes able to locate all the info on the song, but is not able to play the MP3 file?
Using Finder I cannot locate the songs that are unlocatable by Itunes (except the original download files in the Amazon MP3 folder). Finder is, of course, able to find Itunes songs that Itunes has no trouble locating. What's up?! My iPod can find them just fine. I just synched my iPod again and am playing the "unlocatable" songs right now.
I can "fix" most of these files by downloading files one by one into Itunes from my Amazon download folder or from my CDs using the "add to library" feature. In fact, it is strange. But this will take a very long time! And what if this problem continues recurring? But something strange happens when I implement this fix. I added one song to Itunes (from the Amazon MP3 folder, using "add to library") for one "unlocatable" album of Pete Seegers. After adding that one song, I looked at the Itunes music library and discovered that a folder for Pete Seeger (which was not there before I added the song) had been newly created, or restored. In this folder was the one song I had just added, but ALSO all my other Seeger albums that had previously remained "locatable" by Itunes. But the other "unlocatable" songs were not restored, unfortunately.

I have found a workaround. When I create a new playlist, iTunes allows me to add or remove songs from existing playlists for a short while. Then, for some reason it prevents me from adding and deleting songs again. Not sure why. Go figure.
