i can't open itunes. i get an error message: New iTunes Library. Anyone else encounter this?
I have Windows 7. I went into control panel and selected 'programs' and then 'programs and features'. Then I highlighted the iTunes program in the list and then selected 'repair'. It then configured iTunes. I then restarted my computer and it was okay.

It sounds like you are unble to open iTunes after a recent update. I would recommend the troubleshooting steps from the article named:

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
Be sure to follow the instructions as outlined by the links in the article as there is a specific order in which to uninstall iTunes and its associated programs.

When trying to open iphoto I get the error message "You can't open the application iPhoto because it may be damaged or incomplete." How do I fix this and get my photo's back?
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List. -
HT6413 When trying to install iCloud I get an error message
When trying to install iCloud I get an error message: "Specified account already exists". I am requested to update iCloud - which I don't already have - on a regular basis but always get this error. I have iTunes and an iPod, and I also have Outlook which is closed (Not sure if this makes any difference)

I am having problems syncing my I-Pad. I downloaded the new version of I-tunes and when trying to sync I am getting a message..."This ipad cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the itunes installer to remove i-tunes, then install the 64 bit version of itunes."

Garageband freezes (app not responding) when trying to open iTunes library
This is a new thing for me. When I open a new podcast episode, as soon as I try to access my iTunes library Garage band gives me the spinning ball and the media browser gives a Loading iTunes music sign and that is it.
I'm really stuck. Have tried repairing file permissions and deleting Garageband preferences but I'm stuck and I really really need to put a show together![In case this helps anyone else] The culprit was an avi of a DivX of an episode of Desperate Housewives (the wife.....) that I had tried to change the aspect ratio on to get to work with my new DivX dvd player using MPEG Streamclip. Who knew? Just removing that dumb file from My Movies causes everything to start working again.

Do you mean running mini bridge inside of photoshop? If so, it require the full version of bridge to be running in order for it to work. It should let you know that it requires it, then starts it for you.

When trying to update I keep getting A12E1 error message.

Neither do we. You have not provided any system information or otehr details. Generally update issues relate to other updates having introduced incompatibilities with shared components and such, so most of the time you will have to run the Cleaner Tool and simply start over.

I get the message 'itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close' when trying to open itunes 11.1.1.11. I had to uninstall itunes so that I could load this version as the update to version 11 kept failing. The PC says 11.1.1.11 is correctly loaded, but I now cannot open itunes. I have just updated itunes on my pc (windows XP) to the latest version. When I try to open it I get an error message saying the application failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found< Have tried reinstalling with no luck. Any ideas?
