TS1814 Error 7 Windows error 5

I have a hp laptop computer.  When I tried updating Itunes, it said error 7 (windows error 5).   I even uninstalled itunes, then tried installing again.  Results are the same.   I have used just about every suggestion that was thrown at me to no avail. I think this is everything.

Update your .netframe work to version 4 (see other help posts by apple support)
Follow the instructions on this link, basically un-install everything, remove programs that says they are made by apple inc. (using add remove program)

You will also need to check and verify that the following folders have been removed:
C:\Program Files\Bonjour
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple
C:\Program Files\iTunes
C:\Program Files\iPod
C:\Program Files\QuickTime
C:\Windows\System32\QuickTime
C:\Windows\System32\QuickTimeVR
dont forget to remove icloud alsoyou dont need to delete your itune music library though
If any of these folders still exist, delete them along with their contents. (if you cant delete them, right click and go to properties and then security and change the control of the fold to you)do this for files under  program files and program file (x86) on your computer once you have deleted everything, restart your computer. Then I repaired my registry using a registry repair program. Important:-  instead of installing itunes I installed quick time, which installs apple application support (this is the corrupt file which is causing all the issues) i then installed itunes and it all worked fine, should take no longer than half hour to fix hope this helps

    Try this:
    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
    (Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
    In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
    If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
    Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
    If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

    Hello everyone.. I recently bought iPad air and I am trying to connect it to my windows 7 notebook. And so I am trying to install itunes in windows 7. But I keep on getting the error message:

    Hi, I am having problems with itunes and my ipad........
    I can use my ipad on my laptop but it will not connect to my main PC, I get the error message:
    "itunes could not connect to the ipad because an invalid response was received from the device"
    I have done all the Apple support ideas including re-installing itunes twice but no joy.
    It used to work a week or so ago and no, I can't think of anything I have done which would have stopped it.
    I have run msconfig and disabled everything but still no connection.
    Anyone got any ideas?????

  • ITunes DID recognize new iPad mini, error when updating, now doesn't. Please help. I have a 700 dollar paperweight now.

    Today I bought a brand new iPad mini 2, 32 gb. First, I backed up my old ipad mini to my hard drive. Then, I updated iTunes to the newest version. Then, I plugged in the new iPad mini, went through the set up, iTunes was working fine. I registered the iPad, then it suggested i update the iOS on the iPad. This is where things went south. After a few minutes, it stated "cannot update iOS 7 at this time" or something to that effect. Since that point, iTunes will not recognize the iPad. The iPad shows the "connect to iTunes" screen. When I plug it in, I hear the tone suggesting a new device is connected, but nothing happens. I've tried it in DFU mode, no results. I've tried putting it in recovery mode, nothing happens, just the same screen. I've uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it, following every step suggested through this site/apple support. I even uninstalled and installed an older version of iTunes (10.7) but same result. I've followed all troubleshooting steps, and nothing is working, so please don't suggest the same olf "iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows" page.
    What should I do? Do I have to take this to the geniuses at the store? Will they even be able to help without having access to my computer?

  • Get "invalid app" error when adding apps to iTunes???

    For the past 2 years I have been sharing apps with my brother since iTunes on his computer is authorised under my iTunes account. His PC runs Windows XP, mine runs Windows 7. Today I was putting about 10 apps onto his computer and then when I went to add them into iTunes, I kept getting the message "Invalid App" for 8 of them yet it put the other 2 on perfectly fine like normal.  How do I fix this issue? I don't share music or apps with anyone other than my little brother.
    We both have same version of itunes too.
