TS1814 Iphone 5 is not connecting to the App store

Iphone 5 is not connecting to the app store. I am using a verizon iphone 5 with 64 gig IOS 6 and latest ITUNES, Itunes works fine. When I try and get apps I get an error that I can not connect to the app store server

Any update will cause problems for a few users. And those users will rush here and post "the sky is falling" stories about their experience. The 99.99% of people who have no problems after an update won't bother to post here; indeed, most of them don't even know ASC exists. FWIW, I had no problems with iOS 7 on my 4S. Your problem is most likely not related to iOS 6, but you should probably update anyway. How do I correct this problem? I have updates for my apps on my iPhone 4 and I can not update because my phone will not connect to the app store. I don't want to sync and update via my Mac, I want to updated direct through my phone.

Thank you for responding to my question and for your help. I tried a reset and it still didn't connect to the iTunes store.
My 3G and wifi connection are fine. I can connect to safari and check my emails on my iphone. For some strange reason I can not connect to the iTunes store.

Hook it up to your computer and open itunes. try to download hte apps via your computer. Every time you update hte software you have to reagree to the itunes terms of service. Sometimes it's hard to get it to come up on the device, but is easier on a computer.

Can not connect to the app store

Hi all,
I hope one will be able to give me more help than the apple support team.
I've installed the update on my two computers.
On the IMac it is working fine in several account.
On my MacBook Pro, the app is stuck on"Can not connect to the app store".
I've tried the suggestions of the help menu, and from some discussions. I even reinstalled the ocmbo update.
Nothing happens.
If somebody has some clue?

Download and install the v10.6.6 combo update available here.

Then repair permissions.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done.

Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

I got the same error... the trick didn't fix it... but I don't think it has to.
I already have had the current American Airlines app and happen to be flying later today. I was in the app to view my boarding pass and it gave me the option to add it... clicked to do so..
and now that boarding pass is in Passbook!
While it's frustrating not to be able to see all the apps available that support passbook via that connection that isn't happening... and apps that support passbook don't seem to have the keyword 'passbook' to come up in a reg itunes search.. Apps you have and apps you want that you know support passbook are all you need. I initially thought had to download special passbook apps or something - not the case. Just grab the apps you want normal via the iTunes store - and those that support passbook allow you to add the cards and passes and such to it.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Can not connect to the App store I keep getting a connection failure message. Mail and Safari are working fine. Also Iphoto wont update to newer version and itunes does open up properly.

I have recently bought a new imac. Imported all my files etc. from my G5 using Timemachine.
Iphoto requires updating but wont!
itunes wont open up properly the text is wrong!!
