TS1815 Why does the artwork go black? - i.e. just a black square that CANNOT be deleted or replaced with the correct artwork.

I am really fed up with LOSING my artwork - I have over 66,000 tracks ALL of which had artwork when I added them to my iTunes - I now regularly find missing artwork, or a black or white square which it is impossible to delete or replace. I have only seen this since Apple went over to the 'new' versionof iTunes. Apple do not listen to anyone - why is this?

I have tried all this stuff - I replace the artwork (tried both deleting/not deleting tte iblack/white artwork) initially all looks OK - then when I go back into the track - it is still black/white. NOTHING gets rid of the black/white square. The only way I would be able to do it is to delete the albums and start again. I don't feel I have enough tine to re-install 66,000 (plus) tracks - as I don't know which of the tracks have become corrupted until I play them. I wonder if there is some limit within the program that cannot cope with the amount of artwork I have and starts to corrupt itself?
I feel that Apple don't seem to want to address iTunes problems - it has only happened since they upgrded to the 'new' version.
As an Apple user for a long time I have bcome very disillusioned with them in the last couple of years.
I updated my Mac Pro 8-core with Mavericks - luckily I had backed up my 6.5TB of drives - so was able to go back when I found that I couldn't use a lot of my softeware.

Might be corrupted preferences (.plist)
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.image_Capture.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.image_Capture.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac and your scanner and try scanning an image.

Please locate the model number on the side of the AirPort Express. Hard to see.....gray lettering on a white background....so you may likely need a magnifying glass and good lighting to see it.
The model number starts with a "A" followed by four numbers. If you see A1084 or A1088, unfortunately AirPort Utility 6.x in Mavericks OS X (10.9.4) does not support these older models. However, you can still administer these models if you have a Mac.....or can borrow one for a few minutes....using Leopard (10.5.x) or Snow Leopard (10.6.x), or a PC with AirPort Utility installed on the device.

My Imac 27' screen is shutting off for no reason. The Imac is still running but the screen is black and stay like that. Is there anyone else with the same problem, and does somebody know what is this?

I had my Imac27' for about 1 year (I bought it january 2011) , and it worked fine. But two days ago a problem started. The screen is turning black suddently, and it stay like that until I reboot it. It's not cool. The first time it happen it was hafter a very long days of video editing, I tought it was to hot. But now I just started up the Imac and 10 minutes later it happen. And now I transfer my desktop on my second screen, because the one of my Imac is constantly shutting of. What is this? Can I do something about that?

I´ve came across with the same problem and when I look out for solutions I found out that basically I had Three options
1.- Dim the brightness to the first 2 dots (that is the limit for me, anything above that shuts down again my screen)
2.- Replace an expensive part of the screen (about $900)
3.- Try with an external monitor to see if the problem was the screen or something else
What I did was to plug my flat screen to my mac with a Mini Display Port to VGA Adapter

And… Problem Solved! now Im going to buy a Monitor that gonna cost me less than half of the replacement parts, my main monitor will keep siting down if i dim it above the 2 dots but at least I will have the other to work properly

What you are trying to do is a process that we call “refrying a PDF file,” a process that we at Adobe most strongly discourage. There are facilities within Acrobat itself that allow you to remove objects and crop pages without having to ruin the PDF by creating PostScript and then distilling that back into PDF, a potentially very lossy process. You lose all color management, all live transparency, and could have font problems in the resultant PDF file.
The Adobe PDF PostScript Printer Driver Instance is parameterized by joboptions set in its properties. These properties have a parameter for page rotation. If the options specify automatic page rotation, you may be getting these unexpected results on the basis of Distiller's analysis of each page and trying to second guess the orientation. You should also be aware that the PostScript generated by Acrobat (and Reader) is optimized for printing on a PostScript device, not for generation of PDF by distillation.

Unless you held down the Command key when dragging the iPhoto Library package to the flash drive you only copied the library. How is the flash drive formatted? If it was not OS X Extended (journaled) the integrity of the library's internal structure was probably compromised.
If you don't have a current backup of your library do the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window. Be sure to follow the circled recommendation in the screenshot.
2 - run Option #4, Rebuild Database.

Regarding your broken, previously authorized computer, here's how that works:
You would authorize your new computer -- maybe you've done that already. Then you will have two computers authorized. Apple allows you to have up to five computers authorized at any time. If you get to five, you can then go to your account details in iTunes and remove all authorizations.
Bear in mind this is not saying you can synch to more tham one library. Razmee209 and gdgmacguy's comments above are correct. But if Apple only allowed you to authorize one computer at a time, then having a broken computer would mean you could no longer use your Apple ID with iTunes.

What is the make & model of your home Wi-Fi router that you are attempting to connect your G5 iMac to? Which exact model of iMac do you have?
What wireless security type is your router using: WEP, WPA, or WPA2? If you temporarily disable wireless security, can the iMac connect to it now?
