There is a good chance after 3years (A 2TB should be only about 2years tops), the disk or the TC itself is on the way out. Do it immediately. If TM is also failing to backup you need to recognise symtoms of impending doom.
Unfortunately the error messages are archane and it is hard to discover their meaning.
You also cannot verify a network drive.. you can verify the TM sparsebundle though so do that.

Reboot the whole network from off.. certainly if you run later OS it can simply lose the drive..
If you still fail to be able to copy to the TC.. then get that external and copy off it. Tell us if you can do that. -

I've noticed that once you miss a call on FaceTime on a desktop Mac, it won't work properly again until you restart the machine.

My new mags won't download even though my subscriptions are up to date. After 2 weeks of frustration I still am clueless. Can anyone help? I am set to automatic uploads when new mags are available and still nothing. So frustrating when I have paid for them.
Maybe you do not have enough space on iPad.

Hi, I had this problem when I first went to use iTunes with iCloud. using Windows 8 OS. Everytime I tried to download from iCloud error 5105 came up... not sure this will work for everyone, but pretty simple, I closed iTunes and restarted it and everything worked fine -

I am running Photoshop CS6 on a Mac OS X 10.9.3 and every time I save a large eps I can not open it again. I get this message when I try. "Could not complete your request because Photoshop was unable to parse the PostScript."
Oh, dear.
If you use PSE as your external editor for iphoto, you need to save the images back to iphoto by using Save, not Save As and not changing anything like the name or format that would bring up the Save As window. (You may need to adjust the editor prefs>saving files>on first save to save over existing.)
OR you can export the photos from iphoto to the desktop, use file>open in the editor and then change whatever you want and either import the saved image to the organizer or import it back to iphoto as a new file. What you are doing is extremely risky, particularly to the iphoto library which you may easily damage by your workflow.
I would start the organizer holding down the shift key, then create a new catalog and switch to the new one. Then try opening the editor without opening an image and see if you get any farther.
PSE and iphoto are not designed to be used as you've been doing. You are trying to write to the iphoto library from outside iphoto, which is the fastest known way to corrupt the library and lose all your photos. -

Sounds like you have a program designed to run on Microsoft Windows, or even older (1980's) MS-DOS, rather than Mac OS X. If you have Windows on your Mac installed via Boot Camp, try booting into Windows first, and then loading the CD. If you don't have Windows, it's probably cheaper to buy a new program designed for Mac than to purchase a copy of Windows (US$120 or more), not even knowing for certain if your old program will run. -
Can anyone tell me why I'm getting this error when trying to make visibility variables
I have set these up in previous versions of Illustrator. CS and illustrator 10 worked just fine with Variables. Now I can't seem to switch between data sets. I just keep getting this error when I try to switch from one data set to another.
I'll start with the permissions and see if it changes the behavior.

The problem is that at line 161, you have the code:
click(e.getPoint());
in the constructor ImagePanel()
but the contract for your click method requires both a Point AND a Move. Since you only provide the point, it's asking for the move.
the code should look like:
click(e.getPoint(), someMove);
Here's a hint. anytime you get a message that says :
xxxx cannot be applied to yyyyy,
it means that the method your looking for has been found, but you are not passing it the right parameters.
