TS1967 I followed all the steps in this and it mostly worked, the problem was the library is missing the last 3 and a half months of music adds and ratings. Is there any way to get them back?

Seriously this kind of *****. I have lots of music and freaked when it was all gone and I'm still freaking that I have to find the last 3 and a half months of music and rate it all over again. What can I do?
When I plugged my iPod in it said there was songs on the iPod not in the library and I clicked the option to add them to my library but it didn't seem to work.

History menu, if it was destroyed in the last session
then use "Restore Previous session:" and then restore all windows also from the history menu.
If done in this session try the restore all windows under the history menu.

You restored your iPhone with iTunes from the backup for your iPod Touch?
If so, photos/videos that were in your iPhone's Camera Roll should have been imported by your computer before doing this. You could then transfer these photos/videos back to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process.

Thanks but have tried that - When I try to restore I get a -50 error and into a loop of taking another back up. I took a copy of the back up before the IOS upgrade and have it stored on my desk top but I cannot get Itunes to restore to that back up

Photos are meant to be uploaded to your computer for archival and storage. Certainly before doing something as major as a software update, you've done this, correct? In this case, your photos should be residing safely on your computer and you can just synch them back.

If the backup is corrupt, there is nothing that can be done.
For what reason did you choose to not copy the pictures off the device to a computer prior to attemping an update or whatever caused the need to restore? iPhones are not intended as sole storage of any media.

When you say you were "trying to run your computer in admin mode," what exactly does that mean? What did you do? Details here are critical. It's possible you are just logged into the wrong account, or something simple like that, and your files are all still there. On the other hand, it's possible they're all gone... in which case, what kind of backups do you have?

restore from a backup dated prior to when you synced to the new computer.
ideally... were you backing up to icloud? if so, erase all content and settings and restore from a backup in icloud dated prior to when you synced. Camera roll backs up I believe and those photos will show back up

Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

I just tried to sync my calendars on my mac to my Android phone using SyncMate, and all of the calendars on my mac are gone. However, they are stil on my ipod touch, atleast the last several months worth of events are. There was a lot of important information in there. Is there any way to get them back onto my mac? Since upgrading from FF 3.x to 8.0.1, I'm experiencing more hangs and crashes. Most recently, FF lost ALL OF MY OPEN TABS. Is there any way to get them back?

I had a TON of browsing history in those tabs and there is NO WAY I could recreate it all manually. Is there any possibility that FF could get them back even though the "Restore Previous Session" menu option is greyed out? BTW, I've had more hangs and crashes with 8.0.1 than with any previous version of Firefox.
