TS2401 ive forgotton passcode for lock screen

I've forgotton passcode for locked screen.  I really do not want to restore to factory settings as I have loads of pictures of my daughter that I do not want to loose... can anyone help?

if you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup).
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.

  • Forgot passcode for lock screen

Hello, my dad forgot his iPod's passcode and we can't restore since he is using a different computer from the one he originally synced it with. Is there anyone other way?

    No.

  • Hi guys I need to restrict access to the settings with a passcode but also need passcode for the screen lock due to MS Exchange. Can these codes be different?

We are introducing iPhonse into the business but have a question regarding security. We need to restrict user access to the settings on the iphone  probably via a passcode. We also need the user to have access to their emails (which when using exchange enforces a passcode). Is this the same passcode that is used for both by default? Because if it is then by allowing the user access to their emails they would by default have access to the code that allows them to change the settings of the iphone?
Does anyone have any knowledge of this or how I can achieve something similar.
    Thanks
    Paul

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply
Could you by any chance provide a few simple steps on how to do this as i not too sure how you differentiate creating a passcode for restrictions and creating a passcode for lock screen?
    Kind Regards,
    Paul

  • When I downloaded IOS 7 today, I accidently set up a passcode for locking the phone.  Can I "undo" that?

Today I was prompted to upgrade to IOS 7 on my Iphone.  I accidently set up a passcode for locking the phone everytime the screen goes dark.  Can this be "undone"?  Very annoying as I use this phone for personal, nothing important matters & the passcode I set up is rather long?  Any help appreciated.

Go to Settings > General > Passcode Lock and undo it there.

  • Photos for lock screen problem

When you choose a photo for lock screen or home screen (ios7.2) it will not allow you to move and scale it! It just zooms to the middle bit so the whole photo cannot be displayed! Very annoying apple!

Search the forum as this subject has been beaten to death.
    You can try this:

    Thank you for that update.
I would next backup your device to iTunes with this article:

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
And restore it first as a new device, and verify that it works properly, then restore from your backup with the same article below to ensure that it is still working.

If it does not work correctly when you set up the phone as a new device, I would next seek service for your iPad:

Connect the iPod to your computer and restore via iTunes.  If iTunes asks for the passcode and you can't enter the passcode, place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. For recovery mode:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore

  • Change font Size for Lock Screen Message

In system preferences Security & Privacy you are able to set a lock message for the lock screen. Is there a way to change the Font Size or even the color of the message in Mavericks?

I was able to set the font size for all the text on the envelope by pressing the Set button for the font. The size is on the right side of the dialog box. If it is not working for you, try choosing another font, and then going back to the one you want.

  • What is the bypass code for lock screen

what is the bypass code for the lock screen on i pod touch

To restore the iPod to get rid of the lock combination you forgot, just follow these steps....
    1) Plug your iPod into the PC
    2) Wait for iTunes to sync your device like normal and let it back up all of your stuff, since restoring deletes all of your data
    3) Go onto your iPod's menu (The one that shows the memory bar at the bottom)
    4) Locate the Restore button on the screen and click restore
    5) If your not on iOS 5.0.1 yet, it will ask you to download the latest firmware, go ahead download it
    6) When it is done downloading it will take you through the restoration process.
    7) When it asks you if you want to restore it from a backup or set up as new when everything is finished, make sure you select "Back up as new"!!!
    8) Re-Sync your music, apps, photos, mail, contacts, etc. and anything you had before, and you device is just like new.

  • Previous/back button for lock screen (Android)

I would like to see a previous song button on the lock screen of Android. I dislike having to unlock my phone just to start a song over or to get back to another.

I didn't do anything specifically, as far as I can remember, other than installing the Spotify app. Of course, these controls do not show up unless I already opened the app beforehand and started playing a song. Once it's already playing, then the controls appear after locking the screen. I even changed my security because I had pattern unlock and changed it to PIN in order to take the screenshot I posted above. But in both security modes (pattern/pin) I can see the controls. My only guess is that it could be something related to the phone model itself. I have a Samsung E7, which has a large screen. I don't know the size of the Sony z3, and I don't have an smaller phone at hand at the moment to test. If this is the issue, then it can be more of a phone model related bug. I'll attach some links with some information that could be helpful for you. Pay close attention to the last one, as it seemed that it was the solution for most of the users. On this link there are several suggestions of apps that may be preventing the music controls to show up in the lock screen. Maybe one of those could help?http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/lock-screen-music-controls-disappear-t2514983 Some mention that uninstalling smart key fixed the issue."I just had this problem on my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. Disabling Smartkey did the trick. Thanks so much guys! I have a feeling fixing this might not be high on Sony's priority list." http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z1-Z1s/Problem-with-Music-widget-on-lockscreen-bug/td-p/382277/page/5   I hope it works out for you!

  • Why doesnt my photo fit for lock screen or home screen ?

I try to fit pictures for my lock screen but it just zooms in

    Hello Cruachandave,
Thank you for providing so much detail about the issue you are experiencing when setting a new wallpaper.
The first thing I recommend is quitting and relaunching the applications on your iPad:
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
You can find the full article here:
iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting and relaunching Settings, I recommend restarting your iPad and then resetting if it's still not working:
    Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
You can find the full article here:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
If the issue persists, the last thing I recommend is backing up and restoring your iPad:
iOS: How to back up and restore your content
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
