How do I re-activate my Apple ID? Is it locked for a certain amount of time?

    After resetting your password have you then tried logging out and back into your account on the device (tap on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Store) and seeing if it then works ?

    Have you tried the instructions on the TS2446 page that you posted from ? i.e. resetting the password (e.g. http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password')
    and then logging out of your account on your iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store (and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it ?
    If that hasn't fixed it then you might need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

    I need to know how to enable my Apple ID. It has been disabled for awhile and I have not been able to sort this out. Can you assist me?

    I suggest trying what the TS2446 article says:
    Reset your account password
    If your account was partially disabled for security reasons, use iForgot (http://iforgot.apple.com/) to reset your account. This will restore your access to the disabled services. You can also click the “Reset Password” or “Forgot Password?” buttons that appear in the alert message.

    I've followed all the instructions to have my apple ID "reinstated" but am still getting "Your Apple ID has been disabled." when I try to update apps.  Changed everything in iCloud, signed out and back in, changed password...everything.  This message only appears on my iphone.  Advice?  Thanks!

    I have upgraded my computer bios & Apple ID states that I have registered more than 5 computers.
    Without it,  how can I register that computer & update my IPOD?

    You will need to deauthorise your account on one or more computer before you can re-authorise it on that one.  Individual computers can only be deauthorised directly on them, but as you have multiple computers authorised then you can log into your account on your computer's iTunes (Store > View My Account) and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need : authorising and deauthorising.

    I deleted whats app and now unable to reload it. Everytime I attempt to do so, alert appears "Your apple id is disabled" ???? :'(  I tried resetting my phone, downloaded new itunes version, tried downloading and syncing via itunes, even changed to a new password for my acount. NOTHING works

    my name is Abdulaziz Almahmoud. I had a problem that i reported to apple and they tried to help me, but they ended up deactivating my apple-id
    My problem was that there has been purchased something with my money without me approving it. After i got the receipt from the bank I immedeatly reported it to appøe support but they didn't help me much. After they deactivating my apple-id i couldn't download or update anything on my ios device. I already know that by making anoter one it could solve my issue, but I don't want to do that because i already have all my paid apps on it and i won't afford making another one. I already tried to contact the support team but it couldn't work. I mean I didn't find the genre of my problem, therefore I am asking for you're opinion about this. please help me get my apple-id back

    I don't know whether this is the route you already tried, if not give it a go: go to https://expresslane.apple.com ; select 'More Products and Services', then 'Apple ID' . In the next page select 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Apple ID account Security' and click 'Continue'.

    Depending on why it's been disabled you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
    Or you might need to contact Apple : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
    If it then works on your computer's iTunes but not your iPad then try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it

    I've reset my password and Apple ID several times and am still getting the message that my ID has been disabled. Went through all the steps in the FAQ and still can't get it to work. I know I'm entering my info correctly tho so not sure what else to do.  Have been unable to download any software updates because of it. Any suggestions?
