TS2446 I have reset my password but the App store is still popping up a message that my appleID has been disabled

I am trying to install an app from the app store and because I have multiple apple IDs (liek many others) I tapped in the wrong password and got the "your appleID has been disabled" pop p. I have now reset the password again but the pop up still appears. Any suggestions please?
many thanks

full marks to apple support for resolving this quickly and painlessly, at least after stumbling through the security questions and identity verification. So many passwords on so many devices and apps these days...
