TS2446 My apple ID disabled even after resetting password

Got a new iPad but can not purchase from it.  I've followed instructions to log out log back in, change password but still get the message that apple iD disabled. What am I doing wrong?

Welcome to the Apple community.
If you have tried Apple's recommendation to reset your password, and it has not succeeded, then I suggest you contact Apple using the Express Lane (select your country, navigate to iCloud help and enter the serial number of one of your devices)

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Failure of the BBID credentials will never wipe a BB. What actually happened was you incorrectly entered your user-created device-lock password too many times, and it then proceeded with wiping the device, as per the requirements of the security level accepted when enabling that feature. There is no way to stop it.
    Sorry.

  • TS2446 Even after resetting password, I still get message "your apple id has been disabled. How can I download new apps?

Even after resetting my password, I still get message "your apple id has been disabled".  How am I suppose to download updates or make purchases?

Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it
If having changed your password and having logged out and back in doesn't fix it then you might need to contact Apple : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • Can't login even after resetting password using install disk

I have been unable to login in using the password on this computer. Twice now I have reset the password using the install disk that came with the computer. After resetting. I quit the installer and then reboot using the computer's startup disk. When I try to login with the new password, it won't let me uses the password even though the new hint is correct. How can I solve this?

I think you have two choices...
Reset OS X Password Without an OS X CD...
    http://theappleblog.com/2008/06/22/reset-os-x-password-without-an-os-x-cd/
It'll boot like a newly setup Mac, but all your stuff should still be there once filling out the stuff.
Or, an Archive & Install, which gives you a new/old OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space...
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107120
Just be sure to select Preserve Users & Settings.
    But first...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Tiger Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes. (May or may not work)

  • TS2446 Why is my account still disabled even after resetting my password?

I have not been on my account for awhile but when I did I had forgotten my ID and password info.  When I recovered it from a note I found, I reset the password but was still unable to buy music and dowload.  When I went to dowload a song, it said my account was disable and to contact support.

  • HT1725 id has been disabled on iphone even after resetting password

  • TS2446 Apple id disabled again after changing password

Trying to do updates to my apps, notice pops up "Apple ID has been disabled"?? Can't do the updates??

If you've reset your password but it doesn't work on your iPad, then try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it

  • Can't sign in, even after resetting password

I cannot install even a free download from itunes, since I keep getting the same "box" at sign-in.  I changed (reset) my password, then tried again and still no luck.  I can't even "verify my account" as it won't let me sing in.  This happened once before and I seem to remember I even had to change the credit card I was using.  Can't even get that far now.  This is SO frustrating!!!!!!!

    what password?
in the world of appletv you have 3 passwords to worry about
first would be your wifi encryption password
second one would be your appleID password
thrird would be your shared itunes lib password
if you change 1 of them and expect the requests for the others to work with the same password you're going to have a bad time
