TS2516 I keep receiving "cannot verify my credit card at this time"?

I'm trying to order a hardcover book on iphoto, and I keep getting Cannot verify my credit card at this time.
I am ordering from Canada but I have done this many times before.
I've tried over a 24 hour period and keep getting the same response. Any thoughts.

You can try going to yoru apple store account and re-entering (not judt verifyind) everything and try again
and be sure your credit caard is for the country you are ordering from and shipping to

You can only purchase iTunes content from the country that your credit card is registered in. You must also purchase from the store where that credit card is registered and the credit card must be registered to an address in that same country.
Where do you live and what country's store are you trying to purchase from?

This is the message I am receieving when I try to purchase an Itunes Match Subscription
The iTunes Store is unable to process purchases at this time.
Credit card processing is temporarily unavailable. You may continue to browse the store. Please try to make your purchase later.

I was having this exact issue when I was set up to use PayPal as my payment method. I fixed it by -
1. going to my iTunes account and selecting None as my method of payment, then clicking Done
2. confirming this on my account page - which then said Add (or Set up, I can't remember) a Credit Card
3. on the Add a credit card page, I again set up the exact same PayPal account I had before.
4. I was then taken to the PayPal website to confirm that I wanted to use my PayPal account for iTunes purchases, and finally
5. I was taken back to my account page in iTunes, which looked exactly the same as before BUT...
The next time I tried it, my purchase went straight through! (And this was less than 5 minutes after I'd had the "Credit Card processing is temporarily unavailable" message.)
YMMV, but I guess a similar revalidation process would work for credit cards too.

I tried to contact support but they do not recognise my Thai phone number.
the Thai support site is all in Thai (and I neither read or write it).
All I want is a single email address that works - it must be quite a simple process.
I don't want to create another account with another credit card - life will just get seriously complicated then.
BTW my apple I'd is accepted for downloading free apps!!!

First of all, you should always save you photos on computer like any other digital camera.
Backup on iCloud or iTunes only backup your Camera Roll. The other photos should be already on the computer.
Note: Photos are not saved in iTunes, it's only a conduit between your iPhone and your photo managing software on computer.

"When you update your billing information (in this case when you filed your credit card), the iTunes Store will place an authorization hold on your credit card to verify your account information. You might see this authorization request on your online statement.
Don't worry, this is not an actual charge, it is simply a test to confirm that your credit card account is active and has credit available to accommodate transactions."

HT1904 I recently received a substantial refund from purchases my grandson of 8purchased. I tunes graciously refunded the money. However now I cannot use my credit card to make purchases for thr game I play.

Redeemed an itunes gift card the money was credited towards my account but then went to purchase something and it asked to verify my credit card?

I received a $100 gift card that is redeemable through the iTunes store or mac store. So i went onto iTunes and redeemed it an the money was credited to my account. then i went to buy something and it says to verify my credit card and type in the security code for my credit card, but i have $100 on my account from the gift card so why cant i just use that?

The iTunes Store from time to time will as a security precaution ask you to verify your billing details even if you have a credit balance available. If you just do what it asks, the purchase will then most likely go through on your credit from the prepaid card as normal. If your credit card is charged instead, or you don't have a credit card but it keeps insisting on one, go here:

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.

The message you received indicates that the phone is locked to a carrier other than the one for which you have a SIM. You'll need to take the issue up with Apple. Nothing you do with iTunes is going to make a difference.
I'm quite surprised that the UK Apple Store replaced a U.S. purchased phone. They usually won't.

Adobe Support cannot update my credit card

I have a 6 person team on a CC account. We moved our shop to a new location and had to update our billing information. Your support team in India cannot update my Credit Card information.
I called as soon as I got the message through CC that there was a problem. Here we are almost a month later after multiple attempts to update my CC# information now my "team" is not able to work today. 5 people without the ability to use your product. (my product - because I am a shareholder as well).

Everytime I go to download an Apple App I get asked to verify my credit card details even though the app is free.

I have received charges on my credit card from ITunes for amounts that I have not made. There are 6 different purches on 3 different days. One day the two amounts were 20.95 and 20.96. The previous day the amounts were both 109.99. The day before that they were 139.99 and 99.99. I have tried to contact ITunes, but no answer. The statement on my credit card says APL*APPLE ITUNES STOR 866-712-7753 CA. I did not make any of these purchases, did not receive an e-mail about what was even bought on these days. Anyone else have this trouble and resolve it? Looks like I will be going to the bank today to cancel my card! Very disappointed in ITunes lack of security.

I have had the same problem with a credit card that I have never used at Apple. The amount was $21.23 and was described "MC Authorization 00112507 APL*APPLEITUNES STORE 2010-04-07 12.31.59" Apple's email help desk couldn't help me because the card isn't one of my stored cards. I was told to contact my bank.
It seems to me that somewhere in AppleLand there is a record of the charge which is still pending. I don't want to go through the hassle of changing cards.

Check your billing address information. iTunes uses the USPS system to validate the CC billing address. You could either try;
1. Look at your paper or online bank statement
2. Go to usps.com and look at zipcode lookup. Enter your billing address, submit and look for any change. A simple "A" versus "a" could make the difference.
