also to note when i hooked up the new phone to the laptop... itunes showed two.... iphone5s under the devices tap but when i go to hit the retore tap it dont restore like my old phone was.. plz help
Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.)

I keep about 5 pages open at all times in the tray and when I open a new page all open with the new one on the top of the stack. My computer did not do that in the past. What did I do and how do I correct the problem? Any help would be appreciated.

did you use your sons Apple ID..? If so... those items are tied to that Apple ID.
If your issue is with the Authorization of your New Mac...
On your Computer... Open iTunes...
If you're using iTunes 11 click on the box icon in the top-left corner to see the " Show Menu Bar "
and from the Menu Bar select Store...

I want to go to the apple store and get a replacement but it is under my dads name.. Does he have to be there for me to replace it?? ThanksI'd suggest you call the Apple Store and ask to make sure. They may insist on your father being present since the iPhone was purchased by him, but quite probably they won't care. They usually don't check ownership of the iPhone since many are purchased as gifts or sold to someone else.

I restored my iphone but now it will not power on fully. The Itunes plugin appears. I plug it in and restore as requested but the phone never restarts like it says it will. I have done this several times now but nothing. Suggestions?

In my email all the messages from one person bunch together and I would like to separate them. I have done this before on my iPhone but just recently got an iPad and its doing it on this, so does anyone have any ideas how to fix this issue?
Settings >> Mail, Contacts. Calendars >> Organise by Thread. Switch to OFF to see every individual email in the Inbox.

I am trying to add tracks which I have on my itunes library on my pc to my ipad. I have done this manually but the status bar never gets beyond "preparing to update". I have used itunes for years but never had this problem before
When I restart my iPad the connect to iTunes comes up and stays on until it shuts down again, I have read a report from Apple support suggesting I reinstall iTunes so I might try that again and also your suggestion which i shall also try, but thanks again - rg1547

My lock button has stopped working and need to get it fixed. Would it be possible if my phone if not insured but still under warranty to go to an apple store and get it replaced with a new one? Or do you have to be insured?

When setting up my apple id for the apple store I get to the credit card screen and it tells me I have to contact support to finish. I can't seem to contact support as there is no number for them on this type of issue. How the **** to I talk to a person who can fix this?
It's a real problem when you're deployed outside the US and your billing address, though totally correct, is not. This seems to be a common complaint. I think the billing address vs. your present location causes some security concern or similar nonsense that prevents progress.
The only way I know of to resolve this is to contact iTunes Support by email. I have never had to wait more than a day for a response:

Trying to download photos from my ipad to my PC. Have done it before, but this time, itunes recognized the ipad, but the computer itself did not recognize the ipad.

If it's under warranty and they determine it's a defect and not caused by abuse, yes. If it's out of warranty or was physically damaged, then no. You'll need to pay for an out of warranty replacement.

I play Words with Friends HD Free on my I pad. The game locked up and I deleted from my I Pad. When I tried to download it from purchased or free downloads it won't download. I had done this before but not since updating to IOS 7.02. I need help please.
I don't know if this will work but it's worth a try. Sign out of your iTunes account on your iPad, restart the iPad and sign back into your account.
Go to Settings>Store - tap on your Apple ID and tap on sign out. Restart your iPad and then sign back in via Settings>Store - tap on sign in and enter your email and password.
