TS2610 Can png menu overlays glitch in chroma button colors?

I created a png overlay with blue dots for buttons. I created my buttons around the dots only. Next to the dots are text. When I chroma out the blue and change its activation color, all of the text begins to highlights in that same color. It looks hideous. Is there an explainationfor this? I've never had this happen to me before. It's not chroma keying the button boundaries, it's chroma keying the entire layer.

Text highlights in DSP will never win the award for outstanding aestetics. It can be done but I personally avoid them. Stay away from red highlights and san serif fonts.
The overlay layer can have up to three color highlights than can be assigned any RGB value.
The colors are black, red, & blue.
If you are trying to have the shape highlight appear with a highlight color and the text appear at the same time unfettered by color I would not include it in the overlay layer. Overlay should only be used to tell the program what you want to highlight. If DSP sees black it makes it color a, red? make it color b, blue? make it this color c.
You could make the shape black & the text red. Assign different HL colors and then when the button is selected the they would appear with different highlights.
A layered psd could solve this but I find that they slow down menus so much that they aren't even worth considering. If including the text on the background(all the time) isn't a option than you could make duplicate menus with button auto jumps to give the user the illusion of the text coming on with the button highlight. But in reality the text isn't part of the highlight it just appears on the second menu. Since the menu is a duplicate only the text and the highlight change.

How can I use the CIE-Lch (lightness, chroma, hue) color model in Photoshop.

I am currently doing research into color effects and I would like to use the CIE-Lch (lightness, chroma, hue) color model. This is the most prevalent color model used in research. However, I cannot find the sliders for this color model.
Does anybody know how I can alter the settings or transform other color models to the CIE-Lch type?

It seems to be an iTunes playback problem. While I recall seeing something similar once or twice, it was something that happened LONG before 10.9.x.
What I don’t understand is how an iTunes playback problem can cause a problem with the creation of a video podcast. Doesn’t iTunes only come into play when playing the finished product?
Also since you’re opening lots of apps, how’s the memory usage? Do you have any third party audio drivers or other software that might be trying to use the speakers at the same time as iTunes?

It was a quicky so I will expand now. Yes I know about the Chrome extension which works fine with my account on my PC My problem is my wife's account which I manage via iTunes. When I try to select Chrome within iTunes the only option is IE even though we have IE, Chrome and Firefox available. If I mess about with iCloud on the PC changing the account it points at it threatens to delete everything on my Apple products. Not very helpful!
So is it possible to sync with Chrome not using the iCloud account?

How can I update Flash WITHOUT installing Chrome? I keep getting update messages. I go throught the download and install process but there is no option to un-check installing Chrome. I don't want Chrome. I'm not asking for Chrome. I just want to update Flash.

There are a few threads around here with this same issue, and as far as I know Adobe has not addressed it adequately. Many of us, when we are prompted with an update for Flash, are not given the option to opt out of installing google toolbar and google chrome.
Adobe is playing cute, pretending to be surprised at such reports. They always demand screenshots of it, and then ignore them when the screenshots are posted. Then demand screenshots in the next thread with the same issue, feigning surprise that such an isue could occur. Sometimes they insist it isnt happening or it is somehow user error (as if it is user error to simply allow the update from their app to install after getting the update message from their app! )
The problem , in my case, was that the update goes to a URL that autoselects chrome and toolbar. I found if I manually edited the URL, that it would not automatically install chrome and toolbar.
Basically the URL has to be manually edited , so take out the " &a=Google_Toolbar_7.4&a=Google_Chrome_22.0_IE_Browser " at the end AND the "&dualoffer=true&chromedefault=true" bit in the middle. Then it will give you the opt-out. Then do make sure to uncheck the box, obviously And it is obvious that the users are not doing this on purpose, this is built into Adobe's updater, somewhere. If you got someone else email than that's a BIG error and it has nothing to do with whatever client you are using. You send your credentials to gmail and they connected to another account, not even Google would like to do that.
Either you send the wrong credentials and then you happend to have the same password as this other account. Try using webmail on that account.
Change your password!!! If you can access that account he/she can access yours.

Can a menu dissolve into another when a script jumps to the 2nd menu?

Is there a way to get one menu to dissolve into the other when a script is used to get from one to the other?
If a button on menu 1 has menu 2 as its target and menu 1 has a dissolve as the transition, then the transition from menu 1 to menu 2 is very smooth. However, if a button on menu 1 has as its target a script with the single command JUMP MENU 2, then there are a few seconds of black seen between the two menus.

The reason for using a script to get to the chapter menu instead of setting the target of the button to the chapter menu is to avoid pre-scripts. See http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1822130&tstart=15 , a thread I started in which you recently advised against using pre-scripts. My DVD has a main menu and a chapter menu. The main menu has two buttons: one to go directly to the track ("Play movie"), and a second to go to the chapter menu. Pressing the MENU button on the remote while playing the track sends you to a script that jumps to the main menu or the chapter menu depending upon whether you got to the track from the "Play movie" button or from the chapter menu. There is a pre-script for the main menu that highlights the last button used, and there is another pre-script for the chapter menu that highlights the button of the last played chapter. In order to eliminate the pre-script for the chapter menu I would instead have to use that pre-script as the target of the button to go to the chapter menu so that the correct chapter button would be highlighted, but then I get the black between the menus instead of the dissolve.
I haven't tried it yet, but perhaps the script that decides whether the remote MENU button jumps to the main menu or chapter menu could also decide which button to highlight. If that could work then I could eliminate the pre-script for the chapter menu.

I installed the patch in June. Since then I made a lesson and published it to a Moodle server. It works in IE and Chrome fine.
Lessons from 2013 work fine still on that server.
New lesson from a different template works in IE but not in Chrome. End user can't get audio in IE, would use Chrome but buttons don't work! You can see the html selection box and they depress(plain buttons, can see the overlay when you click) but they don't take any action. I can click and type in a text box if that helps?
So I created a couple of test projects:
one from the new 2014 template, copied over some 2013 slides and buttons.
One from 2013 template, copied in some 2014 slides and buttons.
Good mix of each. Made export settings match.
Posted to Moodle in new course. Posted to old course, to make sure it wasn't Moodle related, they are on the same server.
Two variations every way I could.
Buttons do not work in Chrome. Everything works in IE.
I had created an extra lesson for the 2013 course this month and posted it with the same software to the same server, that works in Chrome.
It was made after a software update (to 701-237 June 2014, Windows system, hasn't changed since).
Then I opened, republished and uploaded a lesson from last year. Doesn't work in Chrome. ?!?
What happened to my BUTTONS! I don't know what else to try.
ps Moodle was getting a manifest error when i tried to publish as scalable html. Moodle takes it when I don't.
Yes I deleted the layouts folder when I updated. Did it again today to be sure. No improvement.
