TS2755 Can't send messages to certain contacts

I am having trouble sending messages to a few of my contacts. The message stops sending right before the end and I get a not delivered message.
I have rebooted and reset the network settings and turned the imessage icon off and on and still nothing helps.
The only way to get the message to go through is to turn my cellular on and then they get the message like an email.
Very frustrated. I have only had this phone a week and 1/2 and have had more issues than all the years I had my android phone.
Help!?!?

I suggest you first reset netowrk settings in your phone and if that does not work, reset the phone by holding the home and the power on button together some 10 or 15 seconds until the while apple appears, then wait for the phone to reset (you will not lose any data). if all of this does not help, perhaps you should have a word with your carrier to make sure there are no issues with your texting plan.

both of you should delete each other as a contact in your BBM app.
Reboot both devices.
Then. one of you send a BBM invite to the other and try again.

Hi tizac,
You will want to add them to your Contacts.
There's a "+" button at the bottom of the contact list on the left to add a contact.
If you need to add the email address or phone number to an existing contact, there's an Edit button at the bottom of the contact info (on the right).
Once you have the contact email address or phone number you want to message to, scroll all the way down to the bottom of their information and there are options to:
Send Message               FaceTime
Share Contact             Add to Favorites
Of course choose "Send Message" to send an iMessage to them and you will start a new chat. You will be given the options of how to contact them, via phone number (if they are on an iPhone) or email (if they are on an iPod touch or iPad).   They do need to be signed up for iMessage or it won't allow you to send.

Can't Send Message to One Contact

I am having issues with sending an iMessage to "Contact 1." Every time I send a message, it sends to "Contact 2." "Contact 1 can send me a text message, however the message is received in my convo with "Contact 2." I've tried restarting the phone, deleting contacts and deleting conversations. I've also tried sending a message as a text message to "Contact 1," but they don't receive it. Contact information is correct for both of them and my other messages work fine. Anyone have a fix for this?

Also to add - When this issue first occurred, my text to "Contact 1" was sent as group message to "Contact 1" and "Contact 2." After deleting the convos with both of them is when I started having the above issue.

I can send messages to just about anyone in my contacts but the one I need to most - my wife - doesn't work. I have deleted her # and reentered it three times but to no avail. Any ideas?

Settings > Messages - Send as SMS to On, then if they are not iOS 5 device users (and they are registered with iMessage), it will send a standard SMS message.

I can't send Messages to certain people, but I can reply to their Messages

Hello,
I have an unlocked AT&T iPhone 4, currently using it with Telenor in Sweden. Everything works fine except for the Messages application.
When I try to send a message to my Swedish contacts, sometimes they receive it and other times they don't.
But where it gets weird is that if they send me a message, it will open a new "conversation" and I can reply in that new "conversation".
Also, sometimes, if they have iPhones with iMessage, when I send them a text, the bubble will stay green and it says it is being sent as a text message. But when they contact me, the bubbles are blue and it says it's an iMessage.
This also only happens with certain people, regardless of which kind of phone they have! It also never happens with my American contacts who have iMessage.
Anyone else experience something similar? I have no clue why this could be.

First of all anybody that you want to message with has to have messages already set up on their devices and they have to be registered to use Messages on their own. You cannot add them, they actually have to add themselves to use Messages. Messages only works with other iOS devices as well. You cannot text with any other cell phone or smartphone.
But if the contacts were not registered you would get a different message than a grey send button I think. Go to Settings>messages>Show Subject field. Make sure that Show Subject Field is set to OFF.

I just bought an ipod touch and have just got into it. I've managed to add a few contacts on imessage all have worked except the most important contact. The missus. Anyway shes currently overseas on a trip but her imessage is registered and has been communicating to others with it. I've ensured I've put in her right Apple ID numerous times yet it still says shes not registered when she is. I've also switched the touch on and off various times and it still has not resolved the issue. Every other contact I'm contacting with is fine except this particular one. Any suggestions? I'm a bit lost with all of this.

If you still can't send or receive SMS or MMS messages
- See the iPhone Troubleshooting Assistant.
- Verify that every phone number in your contacts list includes an area code.
- When sending to existing contacts, ensure that your contacts include the full phone number, and not just the information needed to dial locally.
- If you have recently ported your number from another carrier, please contact your current carrier to verify that the porting process has completed successfully.

iOS 5.0 Messages app - can't send message to valid contact using iPhone?

I have been having the same problem. I have a dot mac account wich I use as my primary e-mail account. I receive just fine, I just cannot send using mail. If I loggon to the dot mac website, I can send mail that way. But I cannot send using mail. The strange part is, I can use mail on my iBook (G3), and my daughters eMac (G4). I have checked, they all hace the same options checked in the account settings. But, my pride and joy (iMac G4) refuses to send mail. It gets frustrating having to logon to the website just to send mail. HELP.

WEll, I send messages to everyone on my iphone, just cant get certain ones on the ipad. Only 4 or 5 people so far can get my messages and respond on ipad. All the people have iphones and I use facetime to talk to them, but no imessages.....frustrating. I have read all the articles and tried my best. I might go straight to the apple store locally, and see if they can help me.
