TS2755 Getting delivery failure notices for messages I never sent

How do I stop getting dozens and dozens of delivery failure notces in my email for emails I never sent? Is this spam? Or have I been hacked?

Well what is it? Google? Yahoo?
Go to safari and launch whatever website you do to check it on a computer. Then somewhere in the settings im sure you can find password. Change it on your account(webpage), then update the new password in settings/mail on the ipad.

  • Failure Notices for Messages I never Sent

Months ago I sought help here for mysterious outgoing messages I worried were the result of some kind of malware. Most of those who responded did so with ridicule, asserting what we all believe, that Macs have very little vulnerability to such things. I know this, but now I'm getting "failure return notices" every day. Could someone take a look at a long header from one of these and tell me whether this is just some new form of spam or whether I should do something to clean my system. I've tried all the ClamV and McAfee applications but neither found anything. ClamV was unable to connect for an update, though. Anyway, here is the header.

The body says that it failed because it did not pass through the recipient server's spam filter. Again, I'm getting these every day and they are all about ViAGGRa and CIALLis and the usual annoying spam stuff. Is this coming from my system? Somehow I have more faith in people here than in the young people I get when I've call YAHOO.
Here is the complete body of one of the messages, very typical:
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent has not yet been delivered to one or more of its
recipients after more than 24 hours on the queue on mail.init.lt.
    The message identifier is: 1OEIZM-0000w9-3S
The subject of the message is: have a time for bbBuyying viaiqra suoper acctive
The date of the message is: Tue, 18 May 2010 13:50:31 +0400
The address to which the message has not yet been delivered is:
    [email protected]
No action is required on your part. Delivery attempts will continue for
some time, and this warning may be repeated at intervals if the message
remains undelivered. Eventually the mail delivery software will give up,
and when that happens, the message will be returned to you.

  • TS3276 Mail Delivery Failure Msgs for emails I Never Sent

On Feb 7 I received 37 Mail Delivery Failure messages, but I never sent any of these emails.  I was not even on my Time Warner email account that day.  This is a recurring issue.  Any suggestions?

Potential Spam. I would also change my e-mail password just in case your account has been hacked.

What you have there is either a jailbroken unit with some crazy custom UI or an eastern knockoff. Give us some photos of the ipad itself, mainly the back and some experts can help.
If you plug it into iTunes does iTunes even acknowledge that an ipad is connected? If it does then try a restore.
Failing that, head down to an apple store and see what they can do for you.

  • HT1277 I receive delivery failed emails for emails I never sent

I receive "delivery failed" emails for emails I never sent to email addresses I don't recognize.  Who do I contact?

Welcome to the Internet.  Here, have some spam.  :-)
You're either being spammed (and your mail filters aren't fully dialed in and set to ignore or delete this dreck), or your email address was forged (as the return address) by a spammer sending out messages to others and folks that don't know how to properly configure and operate an email servers are now causing collateral damage by reflecting that spam run back at you.   (No spammer really wants to deal with all those bounced messages, after all.)
It's possible that your mail address has been acquired by a spammer, but it's equally possible that - if your email address has a common name or string to the left of the @ sign - that the spammers determined your address by brute force, too.
And yes, make sure your email passwords are not in the stock attack dictionaries (the list of the five or ten thousand most common passwords are widely known), and (if your ISP permits it) use SSL/TLS (encrypted) transports to access your ISP mail server.

  • How to distingush delivery failure notices & bad email addresses

    Hello, All:
Is there a standard for the format(content, subject, headers, etc) of delivery failure notices?
What would you do if you want to get the bad email address (Undelivery address) from the delivery failure notice? Is there a systematic way to get the bad email address instead of earching for the address string in the email?
    Thanks in advance!

Hi, the exception SendFailedException only happens when any of the recipient addresses is detected to be invalid by the "Transport" during message submission. It is not exactly the same as the user email does not exists.
I have tried the SendFailedException and functions you suggested. The transport does not give this exception even though the recipent's address is not valid :(..
I think the JavaMail code passes the email message to the SMTP server, the SMTP deals with the actually sending. Therefore, JavaMail code can not get its hand on the invalid email addresses.
    Thanks!

  • Delivery Failure Notice

When I send an email with an attachment I just all of a sudden started receiving a Delivery Failure Notice. Have sent emails just like these numerous times with no problem. I can send them an email that only has text but every time I try to send 1 with
an attachment I get this message saying Delivery Failure Notice.

    Roxie,
an email that you send goes from your computer, to your email service, to your recipient's email service, to your recipient.  The message could be rejected either by your email server or by the recipient's email server.
It is quite possible that "all of the sudden" this happened because you're now emailing a person who has a particluar email service which doesn't allow larger attachments.
I highly recommend using a cloud storage service like skydrive or dropbox.  Instead of emailing the attachment, you can post the file you want to send them to your cloud storage service and then send them a link so they can download it themselves.  Check
    out www.skydrive.com for more info.
    Thanks,
    MIke

  • Delivery failure report for mail

    Hi,
I have two queries on mails
While sending mail to single/multiple users,
    1. Is it possible to get the delivery failure report for the unsent mails and the user to whom it was not posted?
2.Can the sent mail be posted to the sender's sent mailbox.
    Thanks
    Neha

    Hi Neha,
    1) If you set up an account for xMII on your mail server, then you should be able to use the "Read Mail" action to monitor that account's inbox for any delivery failure reports. You should then be able to parse the format of the message (which depends on your mail server) and retrieve the email address.
    2)  I don't think this can be done because it's something that your email client (e.g. Outlook) normally takes care of and is not supported in the SMTP protocol to my knowledge.
    Hope this helps
    Sascha

  • I'm having trouble installing Adobe Flash Player. Get a failure to initialize message. can you help

I'm having trouble installing Adobe Flasher Player. When I try I get a failure to initialize message. How do I initialize it?

Hi my name is Derek in I'm having trouble installing adobe flash player for Kindle HD could you please help me.
You'll continue to have trouble, because...
There is no more Flash Player for Android and there won't be another. Android is no longer compatible with Flash Player. Playing Flash content is very processor consumptive and it drains your battery, also shortening the life of it. Android (Google) recommends using either "Dolphin" or "Puffin" as your browser if you need to view Flash content with a mobile device running Android. They're both free in the GooglePlay store.
These browsers use "server side" rendering to reduce the load on your device.

  • Delivery failure notice in mail .

I had a google mail account , now everytime i send an email i get a delivery failure notice because mail is sending mail to the google account which i deleted , how do i get rid of this ? Thanks .

I want to make sure..... is the problem with you receiving email, or sending it, or both? Also, have you tried these steps?

  • HT4623 WAhen I opened my email (WAhen I opened my email (ymail) there were over 30 failure notices for  I never sent. Any ideas why?) there were over 30 failure notices for  I never sent. Any ideas why?

Spammers have probably hacked your mail account. Change the password, to something much harder than it was before and see if it happens again. If it does then you may need to talk to the provider or take more aggressive action.
Usually they hack, send spam and  move on.

  • No Delivery Failure notices using Exchange

When a delivery fails, I do not receive a failure notice in Mail.app. I do, however receive a notice when I check the same account using Entourage. Using Mail 2.1.1 on OS 10.4.8, accessing Exchange 2007 server.

I have the same problem as well. (Grrrr.)
A workaround appears to be to configure the account as an ordinary IMAP account instead of an Exchange account. This works on our Exchange server, at least. The undeliverable notifications actually show up then.
I don't know what the downside of doing this is.
(This isn't a new problem; see http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=3360554&#3360554 for instance.)

  • Mail - Mysterious delivery failure notice

    Hello,
I got a mail deliverty failure notice today for an email I didn't send.
It came from [email protected], but unusually went into my junk straight away and was sent to my alias not to my main .me address.
Has anyone else had this problem? Does this mean someone else is using my alias? Or is it just spam?
    Thanks in advance.

    Postmaster@ mac.com or [email protected]?

  • My husband and I use one PC with two seperate accounts, why does he keep getting a update failure notice for Mozilla but I don't ?

We share one PC running Windows XP. When he opens his account he keeps getting first in the lower right hand corner that the updater is safe then a message box comes up that says " Update Failed make sure another version is not running and restart" When I Open my account no such message appears-why? Thanks-

Who has Admin rights on that PC?
If you don't have Admin rights you probably don't have "rights" to update Firefox, thus don't receive the "update message".
Try opening Help > About Firefox and see if you get a message about the update. And while you're in that window see if it says Firefox 27.0.1 or just Firefox 27.0 .
As far as the "Update Failed make sure another version is not running and restart" message, if your User Account was running in the background and you had Firefox open, that could cause Firefox not to proceed with the update in your husband's Logon User Account. Firefox needs all Firefox user Profiles to be closed as part of the update process. The user Profile that is initiating the update will close automatically, but the process will hang if any other Firefox Profiles are running in the background. ''I have that happen frequently when I am switching between 2 Logon User Accounts in WinXP.''

  • In Mail, how can I get the type face for messages to be seen?

By that, I mean when I open Mail and go to type an e mail message the type face is really quite small to the eye, yet it is set to be published as Tahoma 12. The only way I have found to enlarge it so that it can be read easily is to use Command and + or - as the case may be.
Is there some way that the New message window can have a viewing size that reflects what is the type face being used? Or do I hve to have the window open as full screen?
The same problem is there with new messages being received. The size in the message window is quite small and I can't be doing with manually enlarging it all the while.
    Thanks
    altv

No. Screen resolution has no effect on the size of text in the new message window. It looks as if Mr Apple has done it again and produced something that is missing. Simple logical items so that things can be adjusted simply and easily. One pace forward and fourteen backwards.
It would be nice if I could simply reinstall Mail on the principle that it is corrupt, but that can't be done or at least I can't see how it can be done with out reinstalling Mountain Lion again. I am certainly not going thru' that hoop again with one and half hours downloading it!
I suppose the next thing is to get another Mail programme, but what is a good simple one to use on an iMAC?  Why do they have to make the things so difficult?
