TS2755 Group message issue

Iam trying to send a group message and cannot seem to get it right. It worked once when I was texting to 2 other iphone users...but it will not allow me to group text others. Not only that but I have no 'Group texting option in my settings'. HEL

have you done a reset, hold down the home/power buton together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

Group messaging issue with messages being sent to email rather than mobile

Hi,
I have an iPhone 4s running iOS 6.0.1. I tried to send out a large group message today by opening up messages and clicking on the + button (top right corner) and selecting a number of recipients one by one in the list.
What I noticed was that when selecting some contacts, I was prompted for a delivery address while other contacts were automatically selected and I couldn't change the delivery path. Unfortunately the phone was automatically sending the messages to the recipients email rather than their mobile phone (I checked my mobile usage records). I couldn't select the recipient in the list and change the delivery method either... I also noticed that the message would change from an sms to mms message automatically because the iphone was automatically choosing an email address to send to. This is really annoying!!! Does anyone know a work around?
I tried disabling mms messaging in settings-messaging but I would get an error saying:
Cannot Send Message: MMS Messaging needs to be enabled to send to an email address
This is incredibly frustrating. Why doesn't the iphone allow you to select the delivery address for each contact rather than automatically selecting an email address? I thought the iphone would be smart enough to select their mobile number since it is a mobile messaging device...
Any ideas?

Group Message Issues

While using Google Hangouts on my Moto X I do not receive groups messages from certain people. However, I do receive messages from that person in a one to one message. I just recently switched from an iPhone 4 in December 2013 and have been having this issue ever since. I have tried to unregister my number from iMessage and Apple and that seemed to work for all but one person. This is driving me crazy. I love my Moto X but may have to switch back to my old iPhone to fix this problem. Please Help.

I'd like to assist you with this concern. Are the people you are not able to receive the group messages from using iMessaging? Which OS or mobile app version are you using? If you are running Android 4.4 KitKat®, or higher, follow these steps to turn on SMS. Open the Hangouts app, go to Settings > SMS > and touch SMS Disabled to make Hangouts your primary text messaging app.

Group Messaging issues: new messages being started

Hi y'all, my friends and I are in an ongoing group message and ever since we updated to iOS8 we've been having one issue: new group messages will randomly be created. We've come to determine that this now happens when one friend sends messages from her mac, but it all is shown as one message for her, I just want to know if there's a way for it all to go back to being one message again, having to go back and forth between two messages for the same conversation is getting old. We all have each others numbers, obviously, and icloud emails in our phones, and all have selected to have messages sent from our numbers. Can someone help us?? Thanks in advance!

Why can I only receive but not reply to group text conversations? It will keep trying to send until it finally says failed.

TEMA, we want you to engage in juicy conversations with your friends too. Did you download a 3rd party text messaging application to your device from the Google Play market? If so, this application may be affecting the group messaging capability.
Have you tried deleting all unwanted text messaging conversations and powering your device off/on to soft reset? Keep us posted.

Droid Ultra - group messaging issues

Hello - 2 days ago, I lost the ability to send or receive group messages. I did not have a system upgrade - I have had no change to my phone that I am aware of. I was sending and receiving these messages just fine on Monday, but when trying to send Tues/Wed/Thurs, I get errors when sending and don't even see the incoming ones coming through. I'm on Android version 4.4.4. Any thoughts???

I know that would concern me just the same. Let's see if we can restore your devices messaging abilities. What happens when you attempt to send a group message? Are you receiving a specific error message? Are you able to send and receive picture messages? Are you connected to mobile data or WiFi? Same results with WiFi off?

TS2755 Picture Message Issues

When I recieve a picture text, and click on it to view it full screen, it just constantly says "loading" and never loads the picture. Is anyone else having this issue? I just updated my phone to the 6.1 last night and that's when this started.

Close out of the message app, then double tap the home button and completely close out of the message app.
Then do a reset, hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back p.
NO, the problem isn't because of IOS 6.1.

TS2755 text messages issue

when sending text messages my phone is sending them as my email address, under settings/messages, my iMessage has my phone number errored out in the "you can be reached for messages at" field.

Can you see your phone number displayed in the summary tab when you connect your phone to iTunes?
You can not delete the email. iMessage and FaceTime work with iCloud. You can add another email address, but you can't delete the email which is associated with your iCloud.
Double check (if you already have not) that your phone can send International SMS and you have enough mobile credit to execute this (iMessage requires to send an International SMS in order to be activated); that you have selected correct region format from the list and your date and time is set to automatic with correct time zone.

My Iphone 5 won't send pictures or accomplish group messaging. Please advise! If cannot be fixed soon I will switch to the Galaxy phone. Anyone else having this issue?

This has nothing to do with what country you're in. If group messaging is included in your plan, it will show as an option. However, if you're using a carrier that doesn't officially support iPhones, the option may not appear even if included in your plan.
Note that group iMessage is avaiable if you have iMessage activated and everyone in the group has an iOS device.

TS2755 How can I leave a group message

I was put in a group text and I don't want to be in it b/c my phone is constantly beeping and will freeze b/ to many texts come in at same time. I need to know a way to leave a group text when the others will not remove me. I don't want to turn off iMessage or group texts. Any suggestions??

TS2755 when is the text message issue going to be fixed?

I am very frustrated with my iphone. Texting is a huge part of my business and communication with children needing to contact me. The texts do not come through, only send sometimes and I am sick of this. The "fixes" dont work, I have only had this phone 6 months and have had my carrier replace it because I thought it was a phone issue. I am very ready to throw this phone into the garbage where it belongs and go back to android. Any suggestions?

SMS is a carrier feature, contact the carrier to troubleshoot.
There is not messaging issue with iOS.

TS2755 Remove yourself from specific group message, not all group messages?

How do you block or stop receiving a group message from a specific thread of people, without disabling all group messaging? I got put on a thread of 10 people and can't stop receiving all the messages. I'd still like to keep group messaging enabled though as there are other group messages I use.

As a recipient in the thread, you have no control about receiving messages. The person that starts the thread is the only one in control, as they add people to the post. You need to ask all of the people in the thread to delete the thread and use a different one, and ask the starter not to add you to a group message.

If I enable location sharing and share it in a particular group message, my location is then shared with ALL group messages I have in my history. Not cool. Anyone know how to fix this?

I recommend trying these steps, first with the group message, and then with the contacts who are in the group message:
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and re-create the contact from the Contacts application. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
