my number in settings says unknown and imessage wont show my number

Have you powered the device off since making this change? Did you change through the cellular provider, or did you insert a new SIM? Try powering the phone off/on, and if that does not work, then do a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone reboots, check.

WHen you go into iMessage settings at the top it will say your email account you are using for iMessage, press that and it will give options. Press sign out and it will use your current phone number if you're using an iPhone, if you're using an iPod then it will turn iMessage off. P.S. it doesn't sign you out of your itunes account for iTunes and all that, just for iMessage

I am trying to set up my outlook 2007 account on i pad and the process sticks on verifying. It would appear to be a problem with outgoing server and I have changed the port number but with no success.

I have just purchased an i pad 2 and am having trouble with the e-mail set up. Set up with wi-fi, i-cloud etc has worked fine but the i pad is recognising my outlook 2007 account details but is not verifying it. The trouble appears to be with the outgoing server and I have tried changing the port number, but to no avail! Also reset the account settings for holding messages on the server...help! As you can tell I'm not very techy and I'm desperate to get the bloody thing working as I'm going away on Tuesday! Any suggestions?

In the simplest sense, archiving a file means making a copy that you never change and never discard. You already know how to do that.
iPhoto has built-in archival features, in the sense that it saves all versions of an image that you've modified. As long as you have adequate backups, you don't necessarily have any reason to archive an iPhoto library. If you want to delete images from the working library but still have access to them in case you change your mind, then you do need to archive those images. I don't have a specific suggestion as to how you should do that. You might post a question in the iPhoto forum.

Changed data to 15Gb.. My Verizon now says I'm 7gb over my 6gb allotment

I recently changed from 10gb to 15gb, but my verizon now says that I'm 7gb over my 6gb allotment. I don't think I've had a 6gb plan in a long time. I'm hoping this is just a website error and I will not be charged $15x7 for this incorrect display. Anyone else have this issue?

In this case, please dial #DATA to check your usage. Since you backdated, you will know the details easily this way. You can also use the My Verizon application to check usage amounts.

Do not trust this reply. Mine changed and was correct. I'd call to confirm, it sounds like it did not backdate. If you're still in the billing period you can have then backdate it. If it's over you may be stuck.

I've succesful login in old sync, but nothing synching,New Sync says unknown account on Login. How can i get my data back?

Actually I couldn't use internet for approx 1 year. I thought My every detail is safe on FF server Now. when I am trying to sync my details in old sync, in first few attempt it can't login, but eventually it successfully logs in. but nothing is synching. So tried the same thing in New Synch. but When I try to login with same details It says unknown account. So I thought making new account with same id would overwrite data with new one. so I didn't. If there is any way I can get my data back, atleast some of it. As its quite important.

It's "safe" when you use it as intended, for synchronizing Firefox data between multiple devices. Sync was not intended to be used as you tried to use it; as a backup medium or "cloud".

I had Sprint unlock my phone for international use. I backed up my phone to Gail-PC on Itunes and then reset the iphone 4S. When i went to resync the phone after the reset my computer now says the last time it was backed up was March 2013. I backed it up prior to and had no computer error. Now it shows the divice Gail-PC no longer exists in Itunes and only Gail's Iphone shows up. I upgraded to IOS 7 recently, I don't know if this could be an issue. Help what do I do know? I have lost all my messages and data from the last year. This computer does not have a backup. I only have 5 Gb space on Icloud so the Imessages did not get saved there. Is there any help for me now?

Thanks for the reply! Yeah that's pretty much what I figured.... I just find it upsetting that it didn't tell me the reset had anything to do with backing up data and made it sound like it would save everything on my phone regardless. Thanks again for your response

What happens when you try to change it to you MasterCard, do you get any error messages ? You should be able to change it by logging into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View My Apple ID menu option, and on that there should be a payment section with an Edit button to the right of it, or on your iPhone by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and viewing your account.
If the card is being declined then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including spacing and format) as you have on your iTunes account, you are currently in that country, and you've checked with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it ?
