TS2755 iMessage networking off iPhone 4 or iPad2!

My iMessage suddenly has stopped working off both my devices.
I have come home for the university holidays and it seems to have stopped working since coming back, I need iMessage as we live rurally and don't get cellular reception.
Have restored both devices, turned iMessage on and off etc but with no luck - this is driving me up the wall!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Note-my iPhone cannot verify my number under iMessage settings- and I have noticed that the last couple of monthsimessage only sends from my email address not phone number (on iPhone)

Hi, can you tell me if you have resolved this problem as I had the same issue on mine and my sons iphone but have sorted it now.

I switched over from an iPhone to a Samsung Galaxy S3 & I haven't been able to receive any text messages from iPhones. I have no problem sending the text messages but I'm not receivng any from iPhones at all. It has been about a week now that I'm having this problem. I've already tried fixing it myself and I also went into the sprint store, they tried everything as well. My last option was to contact Apple directly. Please help with turning my iMessage completely off so that I can receive my texts.

If you registered your iPhone with Apple using a support profile, try going to https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do and unregistering it.  Also, try changing the password associated with the Apple ID that you were using for iMessage.

  • If I turn off iMessages on my iphone 5 and only use SMS, I am hoping this will this stop ALL my messages going to partners ipad? I only want 2 use SMS and not have any of my messages go to partners ipad so dont want to alter ipad settings.

My situtation is this, my soon to be ex previously set up an ipad with both our numbers and we share a linked itunes/icloud account so if my phone is off he gets all my messages via his ipad that I DO NOT have access to his ipad at ALL. I can't set up my own itunes account (not yet until I leave him) otherwise he will know I am leaving him and it will cause major problems. So I was hoping that if I turn off iMessages on my iphone 5 and just talk to my family via SMS and NOT touch his precious ipad mini, that he wont be able to get my messages anymore and if I turn off iCloud storage and back up as well on my iphone only. Is this correct? Its just a temporary solution I am hoping. I have searched for days and hours and I just cant find this answer anywhere....
Do I HAVE to turn off my phone number off or delete it on his ipad? I am really hoping I can just do this at my own end and not touch his ipad in anyway or have to change my itunes id YET. Once I leave him shortly, I will create a whole new ID etc.  I just wanna know if I can do this myself on my iphone only. Please any experienced help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so very much.

SMS messages will not go to the iPad Mini. It's not capable of receving them. If you have access and can do it without it causing a problem, remove your iPhone from the Apple ID Support profile:
    Go to: https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do
Log in if not already logged in.
    Click on "Edit Products"
Click on the "X" to the right of the product.
    Click "Unregister"
If anyone in your family uses iMessage, they will go to both you and your boyfriend unless you do that.
To be completely safe, you may want to simply use an alternate message app such as Skype, Viber, Whatsapp (assuming everyone has a smartphone) until the issue is resolved. Google Voice will also allow you to send and receive texts to another number on your phone.
    Best of luck.

  • TS2755 iMessage won't disassociate a contact that no longer has an iPhone

My son recently changed phones.  He no longer has an iPhone.  No matter what I try, other than turning iMessage completely off, my iPhone still wants to send a text to him as iMessage.  This is blocking group messages from going through.
This is what I have tried so far:
disassociated his iPhone from his Apple account
turned iMessages off on his old iPhone
turned WiFi off on his old iPhone
    turned his iPhone off
deleted all threads with him in my messages
removed his contact completely from my contacts
turned iMessages off on my iPhone
    restarted my iPhone
As soon as I turn iMessages back on, it registers his number as an iMessage text instead.  I was on with tech support with AT&T for over an hour and the only thing that worked is leaving iMessage off on my phone.  Please help!  I am at a loss.
    Thank you!!
    Kim

He changed his Apple ID password and now my iPhone is no longer associating his number as an iMessage contact.  Score!!  I hope this helps someone else.

  • IMessages to an iPhone occasionally appears with words cut off from end

When sending texts from iMessages to an iPhone, the text occasionally appears on their iPhone with a couple words cut off from the end.  It appears fine in the iMessages display/history.   Here's a few things I've noticed:
    - It's repeatable.  For example, the following message always causes the issue:  "man, why are you here?  Two are in testing places".  On the iPhone it appears as "man, why are you here?  Two are in testing".
    - It's a problem with iMessages.  If I send the exact same text from the iPhone, it goes through just fine.  The message has to originate from MacOS iMessages.  (I'm using the latest Mountain Lion and all updates as of 12/21/12)
    - The full message is actually being successfully transferred to the phone;  it just does not display correctly.  There are two pieces of evidence for this.  If on the iPhone, the user copies the truncated message and pastes it somewhere else, the full message is pasted!  Moreover,  on the top level the messages app (where you see the last message from all the recent people you texted with), the full message displays.
    - It can happen with both short and longer messages.   Here's another longer message I noticed got cut off: "That's funny that you though I was joking when I said I was debugging.  Why is that so weird?"
    - It has something to do with the length of the message or how it is being wrapped.  I can create modifications of those texts with the same length, and they will cut off. (That said, some modifications will not cause the problem, so it's more than just length.  Maybe it has something to do with how it wraps the words?)  Usually adding a few words to the message will allow it to go through.
    - It always cuts off at a space.  In other words, it will not truncate something in the middle of a word.
    - I have only seen it cut off one or two words before.
Apple really needs to make this a high priority fix.  Unreliable messaging of this sort is a deal-breaker for iMessages, IMO.  My guess is that they haven't had more reports for this because people simply don't notice unless the last word or two totally ruins the meaning of a text and the other person points it out.
Can people try to recreate this on their machines?  If so, please do so and file a bug report (http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html).  All you have to do is get on your iMessage app and text one of those two messages to your phone.  If it appears truncated on your phone, you've confirmed it.  You're welcome to use any of my post in any bug report.

    Hi,
    some entries had    (tabs probably)
I had seen these in Quicklook at the point where the Message appeared to show double spaces after a Full Stop or Question Mark.
You are right that it have not dawned on me that I had not seen them between words.
It was TextEdit as well (Not sure why I said QuickLook)

Part of this means the iMessages sent out.
The "repeat" is the sync back from the the ID  the iPhone is using.
I am presuming the leading numbers are the iMessage identifier that iMessages uses to tell whether it has been Synced
Messages on the Mac is trying to enclose this in Coloured Balloon (or other style) and lists a Font and it's colour

    ( A less complicated "Balloon")
It is unlikely to be the Tab key as this changes Fields in Messages  (From Text Entry spot, to Search spot, to the "To" spot.)

  • If I turned off iMessage on my iPhone would I still receive iMessages to my phone number on my iPad?

I turned off iMessage on my iPhone - my iPad is currently off.  If someone texted me to my number where iMessages were appearing on both my iPhone and iPad will they still appear on my iPad when I turn it on?

You should, but only from other iOS device users. The iPad doesn't do SMS .

switching off wifi and on again or going into airplane mode did't help!
This problem happens only with ad-hoc wifi networks not with normal ones.
(Ad-Hoc network was created on XP Computer)

    Welcome to Apple Discussions
Sorry, but the 169.x.x.x IP address is internally generated by the iPod (and iPhone) and indicates that a network has been detected but no IP address has been issued. Your friends iPhone was not connected to your ad hoc network either - it connected to the internet through the 3G network.
You should read through the Vista help screens on ad hoc networking for some insight how this works. You should be able to get some ideas there.
In the mean time, $40 or less will buy you a very capable wireless router with four Ethernet ports and will simplify your network tremendously. Having used Windows ICS for a long time, the addition of a router and a real network simplified things so much.

    Hi,
Do you mean you are not getting SMS text messages now ?
    If so start here
Follow the Account management options until you are offered and email contact.
Explain the issue via email as only someone in Support can now remove your iPhone Number from iMessages if it has not "de-registered" itself correctly.

  • Can't SMS (regular text) with iPhone users when iMessage is off?

My iMessage is off and so is cellular data because I ran over my data for the month so I turned it off. I can send regular text messages, SMS, to people and they send, but it seems that when iPhone users reply, I don't get the message. Can anyone help me please?

The other iPhones also have to have Settings > Messages > Send as SMS > ON
Note that group SMS requires MMS and cellular data on to work.

  • TS2755 iMessage cannot be varified on my iPhone 4s

Every time I try to enable iMessage on my iPhone 4s it cannot be varified.
    Any help ?

No, iMessage sends a message to Apple via SMS even though you don't see it's being sent, if it cannot be sent you get the "cannot be varified"message.
There must be something with your connection as it cannot be sent try:
changing your APN addres to a onethat your Network uses (settings, general,Network,Cellular Data Network)
    not being in airplane mode
    having signal
