TS2755 iOS 7 Update Text Messages

I updated to iOS 7 and it deleted all of my text messages. My most recent backup isn't on my computer, it's in my iCloud. Is there any way to get those back?

Thank you, I will try that.

  • After ios 7 update text messaging problems

My daughter and I both have Iphones and both updated the ios 7.  Now, when I send some of my text messages, my daughter's phone number shows up on the recievers phone as if she sent the message, and sometimes the messages I send out, send a copy to her phone.  Also, if I send my daughter a text, it comes right back to me from her phone number as if she sent me the message.  Can I fix this.  (we also are on the same itunes acct.)

I to was facing same issue.. does restoring help???
    Pls advise me on this.

  • IOS 7.1 text messages don't get delivered -- even to other iPhones

Using an iPhone 5s w iOS 7.1, I'm discovering that sometimes I don't receive text messages from other iPhones (including my WIFE's -- BIG PROBLEM!!!).
    No error message generated.
    Seems to be more of a problem if the address is entered manually, rather than being a REPLY;
sometimes one message fails and another message sent five minutes later succeeds.
Might be more of a problem across networks (e.g., AT&T to Verizon), rather than within the same network.

    Hello bpotter1942
Start with the troubleshooting in the article below. It will have you check the settings within iMessage. You may want to start with signing out and test sending a message without using iMessage and see if it goes to your wife’s iPhone. If it does, then sign in again to test it again further.

  • Help! Since 8.1.3 iphone 5s update text messaging sporadically works having to soft rest my phone. Any help appreciated

I have updated my iPone 5s to the 8.1.3 and I am now having issues with texting and iMessage. I won't send for a long time and when it does finally send, I cannot receive any messages until I do a soft reset 2 times.

    Hey cfindlay,
If you are having an issue with being unable to send text messages using your iPhone at intermittent intervals, requiring resetting the iPhone, I would suggest that you look into the next step which would be to back up any data on the iPhone and then erase it and set it up as a new device. See this article for how -
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Happy computing,

  • How to fix iOS 8.3 text message app issue?

I cannot delete old text messages ever since I updated to the new iOS 8.3. Whenever I try to delete them my screen freezes and deletes everything. I have to do a hard restart and it brings everything back that was there before the update. If I go back into my messages it comes up as if i had none and I can't send or receive any so I am forced to restart the phone. Is there a solution to this?

  • How come after the upgrade to iOs 6 my text messages are being sent to people that I am not even sending them to!

So I updated to iOs 6 (4s phone) and today all the text messages I received were also sent to my son's 4s as well (he is on iOs 6 now too)  ***???  Can anyone help me out on this one?????

Did you by chance give your son your old iphone 4s and activate a new iphone 4s?  If so, you may need to contact your carrier or wait the period of time required for it to finally switch.

  • IOS 8.1 Text Message Forwarding lists same device twice

Background: iPhone 6 w/8.1, Retina MacBook Pro 15" w/Mavericks upgraded to Yosemite, iPad 2 w/8.1
I got a new MacBook Pro prior to the Yosemite release and upgraded it before migrating my data.  Set up iOS 8.1 and everything was working fine.  I decided to migrate my user account from my old MacBook Pro to the new one and after that, it is listed twice in the iPhone's Messages>Text Message Forwarding list.  How do I remove the duplicate one?  I only have one turned on.  I'm afraid if I turn both on I'll get duplicate messages.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

I'm having this same issue. I tried turning iMessage on and off on both my iPhone and my MacBook Pro, but that did not solve the issue. It still shows my MacBook Pro twice. I did try to enable text message forwarding on both, and I noticed I only received the code for one.

  • 8900 firmware update: Text message status lost

After the most recent device firmware update (late December), outgoing and incoming text messages are not distinguished. They're all treated as incoming and their icons reflects that. That means the appropriate options (in particular, Forward) are not available. Messages that appear under View Saved Messages are fine, and the Forward option comes up.

This is how the text messages are now formatted.  You can scroll your cursor up onto a message and then hit the menu key and selct "Forward" or "forward as" etc.

  • TS2755 I cannot send text messages form my 4S iphone to other cell phones.

I cannot send text messages to other cell phones.  Only iPhones accept the messages.

check to see if you have SMS turned on in the message settings.
IF that doesn't help contact your phone carrier as they handle messaging and see if they can help resolve the issue.

  • IOS 8 - Deleted Text Messages

So, in the past as far as I can remember, if you delete the last message someone sent you, the whole text message thread will not be at the top of your Messages homepage, am I correct?
Now, If I delete a few texts someone sent me (but not the whole thread or conversation, if you will), the thread sits on top of my Messages screen but without the recent texts, making it rather difficult to deny deleting texts!
ANY SOLUTIONS? IS THIS A BUG?

I think I already answered this in the message to which you replied but I'll try again:
    0. I don't know how to prevent the trash can from disappearing from time to time.  To restore it:
    1. Go to the home screen
    2. Double tap the butron in the bottom of your phone to open the task manager.
    3.  Find the Messages wjndow and icon. Scroll the task manager sideways if necessary. Tap and hold the Messages window in the task manager and slide upwards toward the top of the screen to close it.
    4. Tap the first window in the task manager  to return to the home screen.
5  Tap the messages app to re-open it.
    6.  Tap the thread from which you want to selectively delete individual texts.
    7. Press and hold one of the texts you want to delete. A dialogue will ask "Copy More"; select More.
    8. The text you selected should be flagged for deletion and the trash can should now be restored to the bottom of your screen.
    9. Tap the radio buttons in front of any other texts in the thread you want to delete, if any
    10. Tap the trash can to delete the selected messages.
    Notes:
    * This doesn't fix the problem. Apple has to do that with an upgrade. But it does restore functionality with out having to reboot your phone.
    * I only lose the trash can occasionally, maybe once a week or a little more often
    * Only steps 2-4 above are additions to what one would normally do to selectively delete texts in a given thread.
    * To delete a whole thread (a group of texts between you and one or more other people) from the list screen, just swipe to the left and tap Delete or tap Edit, radio button(s), Delete.

  • IOS 7 update, texts sending from my email?

I updated my phone and I texted my friend, another IOS 7 iPhone 5 user, and she didn't know who I was because her phone showed that the sender was my email address. How can I disable that so my email address doesn't pop up on other people's phones when I text them?

Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and uncheck all details except your phone number and see if that resolves the issue.

  • TS2755 when is the text message issue going to be fixed?

I am very frustrated with my iphone. Texting is a huge part of my business and communication with children needing to contact me. The texts do not come through, only send sometimes and I am sick of this. The "fixes" dont work, I have only had this phone 6 months and have had my carrier replace it because I thought it was a phone issue. I am very ready to throw this phone into the garbage where it belongs and go back to android. Any suggestions?

SMS is a carrier feature, contact the carrier to troubleshoot.
There is not messaging issue with iOS.

Then do that and stop making idle threats to us, your fellow users.

  • IOS 5 no text messages!!

Does anybody have any solutions please!!! It's been like this since yesterday went to apple store they just we can't do anything!!!

Can any one tell me how to put it back on there?

  • TS2755 Since the new update...My text messaging doesn't work???? I need help, I've tried everything...

Is anyone else having a problem with their text messaging since the new update?? If so, how did you fix it???

I seem to be having a similar problem. Since updating to iOS 7 my text messages are consistently getting the message send failure. I-messaging is fine, it appears to only happen with simple text messages to non-iPhone users. Maybe 1 out of 5 goes through on the first try.
Tried all the usual suspects. Checked settings. Restarted phone.
