TS2755 iPhone 5 can not open photos sent via text

My iPhone 5 will no longer open photos sent via text message or iMessages. It just says loading and never actually loads. I have to save the photo to my camera roll in order to view it

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. I would be concerned as well if I wasn't able to view the images that were sent to me in Messages. I found some steps that might help with this:
If you still can't send or receive MMS messages
To send and receive MMS messages on your iPhone, verify that your wireless carrier supports MMS2.
Ensure that MMS Messaging is turned on in Settings > Messages.
Verify that your phone is able to access cellular data.
Some carriers allow you to edit your APN (Access Point Name), which may prevent MMS from working.
If you are roaming outside your calling area, make sure you have Data Roaming turned on in Settings > General > Cellular to send or receive MMS content.
While on a phone call, you will be unable to send or receive MMS messages when using an EDGE, GPRS, or any CDMA cellular data network. After the phone call ends, you will receive any incoming messages. If you tried to send an MMS message, you may need to send it again.
If the issue persists and your wireless carrier has confirmed that your wireless account is provisioned2 for MMS, restore the iPhone.

Log out of iCloud in the System/iCloud preference pane and disable Photo Stream in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane. Then log back in and re-enable, respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

Because the SMS (Short Messaging) standard does not include support for pictures.
To send pictures you need to use MMS (Multimedia Messaging).
The clue is in the name really - "text messages" send text, "multimedia messages" send multimedia (text, pictures, audio & video)

IOS 8.0.2 iPhone 6 can not open photo or pdf attachments in email

After the photo (jpg) downloads, all I get is a grey screen with the photo name. Same as when I tried to open a PDF attachment.
Is there a security setting or something I missed on the phone?
The files are fine, opened everything on my iMac and MBP. Just can not open on the phone. Attachments are being sent through email.

Update ios 5.1.1 can not open photos

Nothing happens...just thumbnails. Not a single picture opens to view. They are lumped together into events that put random pixs together over a span of 10 years. (another story...but something I thought I could eventually resolve)
When viewing as single photos and hiding the bogus event dates....double click on photo nothing. Watch any and all videos that sounded remotely related. Of course, the answer was double click on an image to open. Doesn't work...nothing happens.
I have some "faces" identified from when I was using iPhoto '09 for the past few days. Tried going to faces they appear, but again can not open an individual photo.
I don't recall everything I tried, but when going through help and videos. I'm sure I don't know what is the cause, but I do know for sure this was absolutely not a problem in iPhoto '09. So something happen when I upgraded to iPhoto '11. Any suggestions of something to try that would not discard the photos, would be appreciated.

Why can't I open photos sent through text anymore?

I have an iPhone 4S and have always sent and received photos through txt messages. I have always been able to tap on the photo and be given the option of saving it to a photo album or just be able to zoom in on it. However, since the iOS7 update, I can no longer pull up the photos (they just appear to be like the background of the text bubble) or save them.
Some friends that have 5 & 5S's are having the same issue.
Any ideas?

There have been many reports of problems with photos in texts/iMessages lately on this board and I'm wondering if this is related. Some people are unable to send and some are unable to receive. I don't know of a fix or what the problem is, but it just may be a matter of waiting until the problem is fixed on the other end. Sorry...

Here are some suggestions for getting the best results from this site.

Even though you initiated this text from the Camera app, I'm wondering if you have the Messages app setup correctly for sending MMS texts. Take a look at this article and see if it helps:

You need a valid Apple ID to use iMessage on iPad, iPod touch, and Messages for Mac. You need a valid phone number or Apple ID to use iMessage on iPhone.

How do I enable iMessage for use with Messages?
You can enable iMessage in multiple ways, depending on your device:
iPhone: Turn Messages on in Settings > Messages. Messages will begin registration with your carrier-assigned cellular telephone number. Sign in with your Apple ID to also use your e-mail with Messages.
iPad and iPod touch: Navigate to Settings > Messages. Sign in with your Apple ID.

it is not RBG - it is RGB (Red-Green-Blue)
best to have then send JPEGs - and iPhoto only supports RGB images so be sure that they scan as sRGB - not Adobe RGB or gray scale
RGB specifically sRGB - those are color profiles for photos you tell the scanner which profile to use

Hey there, I have data access over mobile network turned on. Whenever I am included in a group text, or if someone sends me a photo, I can't open it. The message says, "Message size: 1 KB." says when the message will expire, and provides a "download" button.When I click on "download" it says "downloading" but nothing ever happens. ?

I would be happy to assist you view your multimedia messages on your Galaxy S4 mini!
There are a few things to check to ensure that you have the appropriate settings enabled.
Since you have been able to tap on the option to ‘download’ the message, have you checked your ‘My Files’ application to see if the photo is saved there?
From your phone: open My Files>Tap on Images. From here you can search files, arrange files (by time, type, name, or size), and even add shortcuts!
If the image is not in your My Files applications we’ll need to check your messaging settings.
From your phone: Touch Messaging>Menu>Settings.
Ensure that your MMS, SMS, and Push Message settings are enabled.
Please Note: Group Messaging can have only 10 members. You might also want to check if your message thread is not maxed out with number of SMS and MMS.

Can't Open Photos Sent To Me In Email on iPhone 4

Hello All,
I just had my phone replaced under warranty and have a problem I didn't have with the previous phone.
If I am sent an email with a photo attached to it all I see is a little square dotted line box with the name of the file and it size. It will intially say 0 of 350kb for example. When I click on the box an circular arrow spins and it then shows 350kb of 350kb but still no visible photo.
On my previous phone I would click on the attachment, the photo would open and I was able to save it to my photo album on my phone. Not anymore.
Anyone have any suggestions? Is there something I need to do in settings to make this work? Also I am not using the Apple Mail app. I am using other accounts such as my business email and yahoo. Again, no problems in the past with them.

Okay, thet helps.
You can't convert a PDF with Reader. It doesn't have that capability. There IS a service online for that (ExportPDF), but that wouldn't cause what you describe.
A PDF is what's called a "post script" or "printed" document. It's composed basically the same way a document is sent to your printer - as "unicode". Reader and Acrobat have the translators to interpret the unidcode and display it as text in the pages. Microsoft Office Word doesn't do that. If you try to open a PDF with Word, it's just a bunch of garbled characters. So the PDF needs to be saved for Word or "converted". There are two ways to do that.
1. Subscribe to the ExportPDf service through Adobe.com (https://www.acrobat.com/exportpdf/en/convert-pdf-to-word.html)
2. Purchase (or download a 30 day trial of) Acrobat Standard or Porfessional which CAN convert the PDF. (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html?promoid=JOLIR)
Both of those aren't really necessary and would be frivolous since Reader, as I stated in my first post, opens PDFs in Windows, Mac and Linux universally, and since Reader is free, anyoine can install it to view PDFs regardless of the original source.
As to your specific issue; it would seem that you may have changed a file association for PDFs. That can be easily undone. All you need to do is right click a PDF and chose "Properties".
Under the General tab, to the right of "Opens with" it shows the default program to open PDFs... it probably shows something other than Reader right now, but there's a Change" button. Click it and... if Reader ISN'T in the list of recommended programs, click "Browse" and navigate to C/Program Files/Adobe/Reader 11.0/Reader (it'll be in Program Files (x86) if your Vista is 64 bit). Select AcroRd32.exe as the default program to open PDFs, by clicking "Open", clicking "OK" and clicking "Apply" to set the default for ALL PDFs.

I have been using CS5 on my PC. Just got a macbook air and I am trying to open my photos in iphoto library to photoshop. Photoshop says it is unable to open the file. Can anyone help me please????

I use Adobe Bridge rather than iPhoto, since .psd files don't import and I remember it making copies of my files and creating an organizational mess. But I am not an iPhoto expert, just mentioning that incase it helps you.

Can not open RPD online via OBIEE Admin Tool

I am facing problems trying to open a RPD online via Admin Tool.
I made an upgrade from 10g to 11g on a Windows XP machine.
The errors are:
Logon failed due to: [nQSError:43113] Message returned from OBIS
[nQSError:43004] Session: 250f0000 repository name: my_new_repository.rpd is invalid
[53003] LDAP bind failure: Can't contact LDAP Server
[37001] Could not connect to the Oracle BI Server instance
Here the checks I did:
1) The database is running.
2) I pointed the existing ODBC connection to the new .rpd file.
3) All BI Services are running
4) The new rpd file is on the Oracle BI Server directory like the old rpd file
What am I doing wrong here?. Where else can I check if there is something wrong?
I hope somebody can help me. Mostly my questions have no answer. It's really dissapointing!
