Just the regular way. Take the photo and then open the Messages app and select that photo and send it. That does not seem hard.

Was wondering if there is an easy way to switch between ethernet and wifi connection on Apple TV without having to disconnect the ethernet cable. The reason I ask is that I find it quicker to use my ethernet connection via a Netgear Powerline Home Theatre Set-up to stream Trailers and Movies on the Apple TV, however this is no good when connecting directly to my Mac to stream music or TV shows in iTunes, so revert to the wifi connection that I created on my Time Capsule to do this.
Would be handy if Apple TV had a menu option where you could manually change the connection type depending on what you were doing, as per above scenario.

I know you can right click in Mini bridge to select revel in bridge (on a Mac) but is there a way to do this in reverse?
I often, many times a day have a folder open in bridge, when it is time to work on a design I would like to tell InDesign mini bridge to navigate to the same folder I have open in Bridge. Navigating around folders in mini bridge is a complete pain! The navigation system isn't in the least bit intuitive.

Your best shot is prepare a collection in Bridge itself with the files you think you might need for a project and choose collections in MB to browse in as the base for your projects in MB. Selecting the name of the collection is far easier then browsing through a bunch of nested folders
the second best is the app short cut in Mac OS with cmd + Tab to switch to Bridge. Select the file and with right mouse click choose place in InDesign.
But I agree, both options are far from ideal.

I am doing the same thing too. I have to call my reports thru menu. I tried web.show_document in my menu and it works. I also added paramform=yes and it gives the report parameters, but I want to give the user the choice of format for the reports. eg. pdf, html, excel, etc. instead of hardcoding it.

Is there a way to get music from your iPod onto the computer?

I recieved most of the music that is currently on my iPod from my cousin, but if i want to add some of MY music to the iPod then i have to erase all of her music off of it! Is there a way to save the music that is already on there and then put it back on the iPod once it has been erased?

First of all try this method which works on some Windows PCs.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it can be messy.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
There is also CopyPod. This does preserve ratings/playcounts etc if those are important to you but this program is not free.
If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.

Is there a quick way to convert Albums to Projects?

Due to bringing in legacy organizing from iView MediaPro into Aperture years ago... I have an organizational structure consisting of few top level Projects containing many Albums. I now realize I should have few top level Folders containing many Projects (which contain Albums when necessary).
So the question is... is there a quick way to convert an Album to a Project? If I have to create a new Project for each Album I have by hand... this will take forever as I have hundreds of Albums.

Doing it manually is what I'm trying to avoid... I have a LOT of albums. I started trying to script it but I am trying to piece it together with my uber limited applescript knowledge... here's what I've got:

Is there a quick way to replace entire sets of styles?

I am currently working on updating InDesign templates that the rest of our team use to start translating different versions of our books. In the template we have the guides and text boxes all created as well a sets of styles to use.. (Headers, Body, Captions..etc).
They started on an older version of this template and I've just updated it by re-defining all the styles. Is there a way I can replace a document's styles with an entirely new set?
The styles are all named the same from the previous versions - but currently I still have to go delete each style and apply the 'new' style - one by one. This takes a while when we have nearly 100 styles. Is there a quicker way to do this? Or am I looking at this whole template thing wrong?
Is there a tutorial or a video explaining the philosophy behind these templates? Basically, we create new books or documents all the time and although they go to different typesetters, I would like them all to use the same 'standard' styles.

You can import your media a couple different ways. If you plan on keeping the media on the external drive, I would just direct iTunes to read the media folder on the external. Here are the steps on how to make that change.

You can restore your iPad with your iPhone backup but items that are iPhone only will not transfer. It should recreate all your folders. It can't hurt anything to try.

in iTunes Mac there is in the File menu "show duplicates", should be there too in the windows version of iTunes. Just mark every double and delete it from the library.
