TS2755 Receiving "Message Send Failure" notification, but messages are going through?

For the past few days, I have been receiving a "Message Send Failure" after every iMessage that I send. The messages are going through, but I still receive the notification every time. I have restarted my phone, signed out of and back into iMessage, and reset my network settings. Nothing seems to be working. Anyone have a solution? I'm having the same problem on my iPad, which leads me to believe it's a problem with iMessage at large as opposed to a device problem. Thanks!

If you have others that are receiving your imessaging  but not the group you are attempting to send to then do this:
Click on your text messaging area using imessaging enabled and then type a message to yourself. Do this test to verify that your imessaging apple server is working properly. IF you get the messsage back to you in BLUE this indicates to you that both the outgoing and incoming text messaging is working as imessaging. With this piece of information verified that will indicate there are connectivity issues with individuals or all that are a part of the group you are attempting to contact. Please do not conclude that at a point in time this communication worked via imessaging that there may be some in the group that are now having conectiviity issues of their own.

        Welcome to the Verizon family, ivpacks! I regret to learn that your alarms didn't work. I also regret that there is a problem with the messages. Have you tried the alarm again? Does it still not work? For instance, just set the alarm for a couple of minutes away to ensure that the alarm goes off.
    When you send a text, do you get an error? If you power the phone off/on, do the messages send? This particular issue is expecting a software update to resolve the issue with texts and picture messages.
    I believe that you have chosen a great device, but keep in mind that there is a 14 day exchange period. If you exchange for the same make/model, you will not pay the restocking fee.
    If you do exchange for a different make/model, there is a $35.00 restocking fee.

    I am having the same problem all of a sudden. Right up until midnight last night it was fine, now emails appear in my Yahoo inbox on my mac, but nothing on my iPad2. I also got a message saying I had to reset my Apple ID password. Unforunately, apart from checking on my iPad that they account is active, I have no idead about POP accounts. Helps!

    To prevent messages from reaching both devices you can turn off Messages on the device you do not want to receive messages but keep Messages on on the device you do want to receive Messages.
    You might also look at this option for both devices.
    Settings > Messages > Send and Receive > review the a riotous choices for how you can e reached and select the ones that are most appropriate for you and the device you are setting.

    I am submitting this issue for a relative who is unable to use her Apple ID because fails.  My cousin owns  two IOS DEVICES; IPad and iPhone    and is experiencing receiving "ICloud password failure" notifications on both devices.  I submitted her issue to the iCloud Forum and received no replies and I hope the iPad Forum can offer some type of recommendation to solve this issue.  Several weeks ago she changed her Apple ID password because of a possible Security breach and she believes the change was successful.  I recommended she attempt to to change her password again and re-input her information into her IOS devices. When attempting to make the password change, she received the Security Question she originally answered , but her answer this time failed.  Can the iPad Forum offer a resolution or a recommendation as my cousn's next step of action.

    When reception allows the iPhone sends and receives the messages, this is also dependent on the reception of the other phone you are communicating with. If you really feel you have a problem, contact your Carrier about the problem.

    Go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars; select the account in question and check your settings. There are two separate settings for mail, incoming mail server for receiving mail, and SMTP for sending mail.
    It could be that the mail process is stuck. Before doing as I said above, double-tap the home button to open the multi-tasking list. Locate the mail app and swipe upwards on the app thumbnail to force closed. Then do a reset on the phone, holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone reboots, then open the mail app and see if you receive your mail. If you receive an error message, make note of it and come back.

    If the old ID is yours, and if your current ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

    2. Try another wall socket
    3. Try another cable (make sure it's an original Apple cable)
    4. Try another charger (make sure it's an original Apple charger)
    5. Clean Lightning port with compress air or new paint brush

    Contact Applecare, and ask them to assist you in turning off iMessage.  After they remove your iMessage registration from their system, SIGN OUT of all other devices that you have that use iMessage.  After you have signed out on All the devices, you can sign back in using your Apple ID.  Your phone number should no longer be used for imessage.

  • Some how do not enter sign was added beside contact, now all messages previously received messages are gone and no new messages from this sender will appear.

    I have been receiving messages from this sender fine and then all of a sudden for some reason there was a do not enter sign beside her name. I didn't know how or why it got there, some button got bumped or the mouse, and I didn't know how to take it off so I just left it. Since then, thunderbird has been reopened and all messages that I had received have disappeared and no new messages from this sender appear even though I know she has sent them to me. I have checked into filters and I have none set so it is not that. I can't figure out how the do not enter sign got beside the contact, but I'm sure it's the reason for my problems and I don't know how to fix it. Thanks
