Hi!
I am unable to send pictures via facebook chat. In the 'attach' option, it does show 'photo, video, location, etc..' but I can select only the 'location' component. I was wondering if there was some settings that should be changed or that the mobile itself does not allow such activities. Please advise.
Thank you.

Thank you for replying.
Yes, I am using the official FB app from Microsoft. I tried the FB Beta, but I still can't send pictures. Take a look at the screenshot. I can only choose 'location'

• TS4268 I,am unable to send photos via messages but can receive them

I,am unable to sent photos in messages  but can receive them. Help

The SIM question/issue is separate from all of the others.  Your iPhone will not access the cellular newtwork until you install a new SIM.  The current SIM has been deactivated and is now useless.  Get a new SIM, install it (or have it installed), then have your carrier grant the iPhone access to the cellualr network.

• Can't send pictures via email

Hi everyone,
Recently (within the last week or 2), I have been unable to send pictures via email. I've tried both the stock email app and yahoo mail. It is very disheartening. I've even uninstalled my yahoo app and reinstalled it, and it still does not work. I've shut down the phone and have done everything just shy of a hard reset (which is what I'm trying NOT to do). Anybody else having this issue or can a VZW rep help me to rectify this? I've only had the phone since December and love it. I haven't dropped it and there is no water damage.

I am having this issue with trying to send pictures from my email applications in my phone. I use Yahoo, but not the Yahoo app. I also tried to use my work email to attach the picture to and send. In both instances, Yahoo and work email, I get a "Failure " message in my outbox of the email application when I look to see if the photo sent. I have received pictures via text before, no problem. I also tried turning of bluetooth, even though where I am currently located there is no wifi/bluetooth to connect to.
Thanks

• TS2755 Sending pictures via iMessage - "undelivered"

Hi,
having iPhone 5 with iOS 7 (the newest one) and having problem with sending pictures via iMessage. The picture is usually sent and marked as "delivered" but after few seconds it´s showed again as "undelivered" with red exclamation mark. I have tried to reinstall the iOS, I changed the phone at all (like to different piece of device) and the problem is still there.
This is happening as well when someone is sending pictures to me - shows them the exclamation mark as well despite the picture is usually already delivered.
Many thanks for your opinions what can I do...
BR
Martina

Hello there, Martinacep.
It seems you were referred to us from the very article that provides some troubleshooting recommendations for issues with sending attachments via MMS:
iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2755
To begin, follow these initial steps:
If you can't send and receive MMS
You will need these to send and receive MMS:
An iPhone 3G or later
iOS 3.1 or later
A cellular data connection (MMS isn't available if you're using only Wi-Fi)
A domestic MMS plan from your cellular provider. You might need an international messaging plan to send MMS to an international contact (Contact your carrier for more information.)
A roaming MMS when using a cellular provider's network that is different from your billing cellular provider's network (Learn more about roaming and contact your carrier for more information.)
To resolve issues with sending and receiving MMS, follow these steps
Go to Settings and turn airplane mode off.
Go to Settings > Messages and turn MMS Messaging on.
Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Cellular Data on.
Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Data Roaming on if you're roaming on a cellular provider network that is different from your billing provider's network.
Make sure that you have a cellular data connection in the status bar of your iPhone.
Go to Settings and turn Wi-Fi off. Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify that you have a data connection. Turn Wi-Fi back on to continue using Wi-Fi for other features. If your cellular data connection isn't available, follow these steps.
Make sure that you can send and receive SMS. If you can't send and receive SMS, see the "Issues with sending and receiving SMS" section, above. MMS might not be available while you're on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn more about which network your phone supports.
Restart your iPhone.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
Remove your SIM card and insert it again.
If the issue persists, then follow the section entitled "If you still can't send or receive MMS, follow these steps" that follows the one above in the article.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
Cheers,
Pedro.

5. If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
6. If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and re-create the contact from the Contacts application. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
7. Back up and restore your iPhone as new.
8. If your carrier has recently ported your phone number, the porting process may not be complete. Contact your carrier to confirm that the porting process is complete.
9. Contact your carrier to verify that you are provisioned to send SMS and are in an area with cellular coverage.
10. Contact your carrier to verify that there are no blocks or filters placed on your wireless account preventing you from sending SMS.
11. Your carrier may require APN settings to be modified to use MMS. Learn more about when you should adjust APN settings.
Thanks,
Matt M.

• My iPhone 3GS is no longer able to send pictures via text??

I've done a total phone reset, taken it to the ATT store (they checked all the MMS settings and they were correct), sync'd it to itunes and downloaded all updates...but still can't gte it to send pictures via text?
This all started last Monday when I traveled out to las Vegas...every picture I tried to send would get the status bar about 95% across on the send before popping up a red exclamation point next to the picture that gives me a "message failed to send" error. Here's a screen cap:

Any ideas?

I had same problem. Check your Settings/General/Network/Cellular Data Network - make sure your MMSS has 2 // After http, ie, http//... If you have to change this, make sure you switch iPhone off and restart after 20 seconds, go back to your settings to make sure changes have stayed put. Then take a photo and MMS it to yourself, this will take a minute or 2 to go through.
Hope this works for you

• Unable to send or receive messages for the Btinter...

Hello
I use Windows Live Mail to download my emails. This is working fine on two computers for other BT Internet and Gmail accounts. But one of my main BT accounts consistently receives the following messages on both computers:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Btinternet (xxx) account.
Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR inactivity timeout
Server: 'mail.btinternet.com'

Server: 'mail.btinternet.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F

The messages for this account are available via webmail, and sending an email works.
I've tried BT Desktop Help, but this simply sends me in the direction of standard advice pages. I have no reason to think the settings are wrong.
Could anyone suggest what is going on here please?

Hi. Welcome to the forums.
For starters, the recommendation by many people is to uninstall BT Desktop help.
If this has always been the case, rather than a sporadic issue, then it could be an account problem that seems to plague some accounts - and has done for years. Hopefully the changeover from Yahoo! to Critical Path will cure this particular issue. Try the other settings mentioned by Keith.
Even though some accounts are fine, there is still a possibility that your local security software can interfere. For example if you have email scanning turned on - then this can be turned off to see if that helps.

• IPhone 4 IOS 7 - unable to send photos via text

I have been unable to send photos via text since updating to IOS7.  All of my settings are up to date and this problem occurs on wifi, 3G and makes no difference if I send the photo via message first or from my camera.  I have read all the troubleshooting guides and nothing has provided a permanent solution.  Resetting the network seems to work for a limited time before the photos come up with the same "not delivered" icon again.
Does anyone know why the reset would work and then stop working if I haven't switched my phone off?
Thanks

You may have to backup and restore through iTunes. Have you contacted your carrier about this since this feature is carrier-provided?

• I am running ios7 and cannot send pictures via iMessage to only one contact but they can send me pictures. What is going on?

I am having issues sending pictures via iMessage to only one of my contacts. They can send me pictures through iMessage so why are mine coming back undelivered?

Have managed to get it working.
It might be as simple as switching the other phone completely off, and resetting it...
I say this because I have no idea how I finally managed to get it working again.  I tried so many things.  Removing all the iMessage addresses.  Sending messages from the computer, iPad...etc and found that the weakest link was my wife's phone. It wasn't receiving iMessage pictures from ANYONE (not just me).  That allowed me to narrow down the possibilities somewhat.
Let me know if simply resetting the other person's phone fixes the problem.

• HT4993 Can not send pictures via text.

Why can't I send pictures via text message from my iphone 5 unless I am attached to wifi but my daughters 4s works fine.

You might want to contact your carrier to confirm that your account is correctly provisioned for MMS messaging.

• Since updating to iOS7 I am unable to send or receive messages on my iPad. What can I do to solve this problem?

Since updating my iPad mini I have been unable to send or receive messages. My iPad only wants to recognize contacts with apple products but still won't deliver a message to them. What can I do to solve this problem?

Try restarting the device first..
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, then swipe the slider to power off.
Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, try here > iOS: Troubleshooting Messages

• Unable to send or receive messages?

I bought a new iphone 4 and after syncing was unable to send or receive messages?

Hi,
Welcome to the    Discussions
The First Step is to try changing the Style of the Messages.
Open a Chat Window to Anybody (you do not have to Send anything you an only do this when a chat window is open).
Go to the View Menu > Messages option
In there change it from balloons to anything else.
Try a Text Chat with someone.
If this does not seem to be it try changing the Font choice in iChat > Preferences > Messages.
The Default is Helvetica and certain variants of this Font can cause problems in iChat (Helvetica Fractions for instance).
If changing the Font works use the Font Book to check the Font. (presuming you re-installed any Font you may have chosen for iChat.)
