I lost my ipod a week ago. Is there anyway I can locate or trace it now?

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have to iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.
- Apple will do nothing without a court order

If it is passcode protected, then it is very unlikely that anyone woul both have the knowledge and take the time to try and break the code.
They would very likely restore teh ipod and use it as their own.

It might be possible if you had the Find My iPod Touch app installed on it. If it's a 4G iPod Touch, you could try calling yourself via FaceTime if you had that set up as well. If the volume is up high enough or you are close enough in proximity, you might be able to hear it.
Otherwise, there really aren't any other ways of using your computer to help locate it. Sorry.

I bought my ipod touch 5 about 9 months ago it is no longer working right there are vertical colored stripes on half the screen and it automatically is clicking things that i didn't want opened. Does anyone know if i can exchange my ipod for a new one (ordered it off of the apple website, don't believe i still have the e-mail) or kn ow a solution to this problem?

if you had icloud and find my iphone on in the icloud settings in the phone you lost if so then you can open it on another ipad you have or something else apple and open the find my iphone app then turn on nodify me when (whatever iphone name) appears by the way find my iphon dosent use location services it overrides it and goes straight to 3g or 4g or whatever connection you have on it also put it in lost mode so then if someone finds it it cannot be opened it cannot be changed or wiped in itunes or anything so do that as soon as possible

If you were signed into iCloud and had Photo Stream enabled then yes.
You can retrieve the last 30 days of photos from your computer or another iOS device.
Photo Stream only holds 30 days of photos on the server. Anything older than that will be lost unless you transfered them to your computer or you backed them up.

If you turned on Find My iPod on your iPod Touch before it was lost, then you can go to icloud.com, sign into your iCloud account and locate it as long as it is connected to the internet (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfc0f2442). If you did not turn this on before it was lost you will not be able to located it using Find My iPod.

Don't know what you mean by "some time ago", but unless you activated Find My Phone and the phone is still on, the answer is no. (Even if you ask 3 times).
