my ipod touch is stuck in some kind of talking mode and wont scroll and i have to double click everything. how do i get it back to normal
- Try triple clicking the Home button and then going to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn VoiceOver off
- Next try connecting the iPod to the computer and going to the Summary pane for the iPod in iTunes. Click on Configure Universal Access and turn VoiceOver off.

The speakers of my iPod Touch just won't work. When I increased the volume, it showed 'headphones' in brackets even when I hadn't plugged them in. My iPod is stuck in the headphone mode which means I can't watch videos or listen to music without my headphones on. I can't even listen to the notifications and the alarm clock is useless. What should I do?
- Cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the the headphone plug a dozen times or so.
- Try the following to rule out a software problem
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a bad headphone jack. Apple will exchange your iPod for refurbished one for this price. They will not fix yours.

So one day is was laying next to my ipod touch and i tried to turn it on but it wouldnt. so then i pluged it up to my computer to charge but it didnt charge, the computer didnt pick up the divice. so now my ipod touch will not turn on, and i have no idea why. PLEASE HELP.
mine did the same thing. What I did was hold the home and power button down for 10 seconds but that did not work. I figured out that I just had to hold them down for a long time like 15 to 45 seconds. Then it finally turned on. You may have to do it a couple of time. But if this does not work send it in to the apple company they fixed mine completly free they even sent me a box to send it in. I hope my answer helps you fix it.

IPOD WONT WORK UNLESS YOU DOUBLE CLICK THE APP. WHEN YOU DO IT WON'T LET ME SLIDE UP OR DOWN.

I had this issue before and it was related to security restrictions set on the touch itself
On the touch itself go to: Settings->General->Restrictions
If there is a restrict for Installing Apps the Apps page will be greyed out in itunes -

Since you are running iOS 5 you can always turn on Assistive Touch as well, which adds a Home button to the iPod's actual touch screen. Head to Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Assistive Touch to turn it on.

My iPod touch is stuck in landscape view. Even when held vertically if I open facebook or safari is rotates to landscape. Have tried turning on and off, same results. Any ideas to fix?
Try switching it back from landscape to vertical. Or, go to settings and see if you have any special setting turned on that enable only landscape view. Also, try hooking it up to your computer and charging it to see what happens.

If you go to the Now Playing screen, the Repeat control is the the arrowed racetrack icon on the left side right below the scrubber bar. Tap the icon to change. It is white when Repeat is off.

The screen on my ipod touch is stuck zoomed in. I don't know how it happened I just looked down and it was like that. I have turned it off and back and even reset it but it still keeps zooming back in each time I turn it on. My daughter's iPod Touch is stuck on a blank screen with that loading circle thing just going around and around. She said she was trying to duplicate an app or something, and all the the apps started shaking like when you delete them. I turned the iPod off, but it never turned back on completely. A few hours ago, I tried updating my 5th generation iPod touch to iOS 8. It ran into an error and couldn't update, which left my iPod touch stuck in recovery mode with a screen showing a USB cord pointing to an iTunes symbol. I tried searching for ways to get my iPod out of recovery mode without restoring it to its factory settings, but after a couple hours of seeking, I decided I might as well just restore it. I clicked the restore button, and when it finished, it said that my iPod touch couldn't be restored either. Now, I have no clue what to do. May I have some help?
