My iphone 4s is stuck in searching....

Is it still stuck? it's been a long time since you posted and no one replied
For what it's worth, if it still does it, turn it on to airplane mode then off again and that should sort it, ot turn it off then on again. It's very annoying if it keeps doing it, as mine does.

  • HT201205 iPhone 5 is stuck in searching mode. Will not recognize bluetooth device.

How do I get my iPhone 5 to recognize my Jabar bluetooth? It just gets stuck in searching mode.

Turn the phone off and take the SIM out and put it back in. The other possibility is that your SIM is defective.

  • IPhone 5 stuck in searching....

My iPhone 5 get stuck in searching signal please help. carrier is tmoble

You've tried just about everything I'd suggest without the full factory reset.  I had an iP5 that had the same issue happen...signal just went to searching and nothing (including replacing the SIM help)...took it to the Apple Store where they replaced the device.  It's a common issue and if you search the forum here...many have had the same problem.  Sometimes resetting the network settings have worked...other have had success with a new SIM.

  • My iPhone 6 is stuck on Signal Search mode

My iPhone 6 is stuck on Signal search mode since the morning. I have rebooted several times, and also updated to iOS 8.1 but still stuck on signal search mode. It's not a carrier problem. Can't make or receive calls. Please help.

    Hi,
I'm from Israel and I also have the same problem that began today. I have an iPhone 6 bought from the US in november and today it suddenly didn't connect to a cellular network (stuck in searching). The SIM works on other phone, and my iphone still didn't find a network with another SIM.
I tried all the following with no luck:
    - Reset Network, eject SIM, different SIM
    - Upgraded to 8.2 from 8.1.2
    - Upgraded to 8.3
    - Reset Network again
It's so annoying, confusing and disappointing, I feel I can't do anything now, I do not have a backup phone and I need a phone for work, life, etc....
I feel like I threw $700 US down the drain.
Luckily I have a friend going to SF next week and I'll try to send it back with him for repair or replacement in the US.
Meanwhile I'll suffer with whatever phone I can borrow from some friends.

  • IPhone 5S stuck on Searching after poor or lost antenna signal

My 2 weeks old iPhone 5S , AFTER installing the "latest update" from Apple, start acting abnormal: it's geting stuck in Searching… mode after passing by a low signal area or after signal was complete lost.
Is this a hardware issue, should I return it to the store, or is an software issue and we have to wait for Apple Guys to fix it?
This is so bad as I use it primary for EMERGENCY calls, second for business and then for pleasure. Today being busy and not staying with my eyes on the phone , I was on Searching mode for the entire morning, for 5 hours. It's unacceptable to not be able to be reached  all this time.
APPLE, you should have this issue as TOP PRIORITY on your table as I'm sure a lot of customers have the same problem.

  • My iphone 4s stuck in searching mode

    Hi
I have iphone 4s ios 5.1.1 stuck in searching mode
i tried removing sim card still says searching , restarting , searching...
    can you help ? Please

Yesterday my phone shut off due to a low battery warning - like less than 10%.  So as I normally do, I plugged it in to be charged by using my car charger.  Anyway, I noticed that my phone was stuck in "Searching..." mode once it finally got enough charge to run.
We called AT&T and they tried to reset network settings - that didn't work.  They asked if we had another iPhone 4 on hand to test if my SIM card worked in that device (but no such luck).   I also did a manual reset and that did not work either.
I took my phone to the Genius bar today and they tested the SIM card and it was working fine.  Then, the guy ran some sort of diagnostic test to look at the logs and he said I had a lot of software corruption messages.
So, long story short, he ended up reinstalling the OS and that resolved the problem.
Now if only I could find my Photo Stream pictures and other data that I backed-up via iCloud....... I digress.
So far my phone works fine.  I could have done this myself but instead I wasted an hour of my time at the darn store.  30 minutes of it was spent WAITING even though my appointment was at 2 p.m. and I was on time - I wasn't seen until around 2:30 p.m. - actually it was almost like 2:40 p.m.

  • Stuck at Searching iPhone 5

    So, it's day 3 with a not working iPhone 5 !
It started when I turned on the Airplane mode one day, the other day I turned it off .. and until now, It's searching, even with no SIM card !
I tried every thing, restarting, resetting and now I'm stuck at the activating point where you should active the iPhone.
So, I can't active the phone and I'm stuck at searching, and activating with iTunes doesn't work either.
It says We're sorry, we are unable to continue with your activation at this time. And that's it, nothing else.
It's a new iPhone, bought it in a month maybe, with no Jailbreak.
and I got the iPhone warranty but since I live in Saudi Arabia, there is no Apple store, and no Apple Authorized Service Provider for the iPhone I belive.
and I don't think that the carrier will be able to do anything since I didn't bought the iPhone there.
and the place where I bought the iPhone says that we can't do anything, you should reinstall the ios by your self !
and I can't because iTunes is not activating or helping with any thing !
So, is there any thing I can do about it ?
    Thanks !

Well as I said, They won't help if you didn't bought that device dircetly from them ..
Any way, I solved the problem !
I didn't knew about the Recovery mode (Clicking the Home and the On/Off buttons together for  a while and then leaving clicking the home button alone for another while)
so I did that and downloaded the ios and now it's working !
I just used the SIM to activate the phone and then removed it .. it seems that it's damaged and may caused the problem
    anyway, Thanks

  • Iphone 4S stuck in "Searching..." numerous times

    Hello apple users,
I recently acquired an iPhone 4S, but ran into a problem I cannot seem to solve.
For an unknown reason the iPhone often displays "Searching..." and has no reception, nor 3G signal. this has happened 3 times now.
Restoring the iOS fixed this problem, the first time it took about 2 months, then 1 month and now only 5 days until it got stuck in "Searching..." again.
After digging around on the net I found out this is likely a problem with iOS6 and an iPhone 4S, numerous solutions were posted but only the "last resort" helped.
    I've tried:
    - Restarting the iPhone
    - Hard resetting
    - Airplane mode, as well as restarting with Airplane mode and hard resetting
    - Turning off cellular data
    - Removing the SIM and reseating it
    - Trying a different SIM
    - Restoring a backup made from when the iPhone was still working
    - Restoring the entire iOS and putting the most recent backup back
Putting the SIM in a different phone worked fine while my iPhone was stuck in "Searching..." on the same SIM.
The iPhone runs on iOS 6.0.1, was factory unlocked and has never been "tinkered" with.
Quite frankly, I don't feel like having to restore my iPhone on a weekly basis and would be really glad if any of you are able to help me out.
    Thanks in advance!

  • My iPhone 5 has been stuck at "searching"

I even took out the sim. Usually when doing this , it would display "No SIM" but mine is still stuck on searching... Anyone have somthing similar?

yeah im having the same exact problem even when sim is out it still said searching. i hard reset it then turn back with no sim card in and it still said searching it. it takes me on average about 30 mn to 1hr to get it working and the it only last for like a hour or so sometimes less. i also took it to the apple store and the first guy told me he never heard about it he was like 50yrs so i went to a younger guy and he was like yeah i heard of this its happening alot with the new update its a software problem .and that apple would work something out with me .

  • IPhone 5 support regarding continuous "searching"

I want to express my dismay about the "help" I've received regarding my iPhone 5 that was stuck in "searching" mode for my carrier (Verizon).  This problem is all over the 'net, but when I brought the phone to numerous Verizon outlets (both company stores and franchises) and several "genius bars" in Apple stores, the reaction I got was like this was a completely unknown issue.  "Let's try turning it off/on, replace the SIM card, etc. etc. etc."  Nothing worked, and everyone seemed baffled.  This is ridiculous.  The motivation seems to be to sell me a new phone for $700.  It's not that hard, people.  This reeks of a software issue rather than a hardware problem.  The solution for me was to download iTunes to my PC, then do a complete backup of the phone, followed by a reset and restore.  This completely removed and replaced the software and firmware in the phone, and suddenly, up popped Verizon.  Problem solved.

If you are angry that Apple is not allowing the wifi calling feature to a phone that is only a little more than a year old, let them know that you want this feature! We paid a lot of our hard-earned money for our phones and Apple better make it last for more than a two years.  I do not want my phone to go the way of the first generation ipads, obsolete in two years.   http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
Voice your concerns and demand that iphone 5 should have the wifi calling!!!
