TS2795 Call forwarding icon automatically appears after power on even though call forwarding function hasn't been turn on

I'm using iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.3. and I have this issue: the call forwarding icon automatically appears after I turn on the phone even though I haven't turned on the call forwarding function! I can make the icon disappear but when I power off the phone and turn it back on, the icon appears again. Since in fact I haven't turned on call forwarding, I can still ring my iPhone despite the icon appearing on the status bar, which proves the call forwarding icon is simply a dummy one in this case.
I tried to make the call forwarding icon disappear by using the method stated in this Apple Support article:
'Check Call Forwarding status by tapping Settings > Phone, and then tap the Call Forwarding option.'

And by dialling ##21# using the phone app to deactivate 'All Call Forward'

I don't know if the following instructions can be used worldwide but at least on 3 Hong Kong network:
*#67# -> check the status of 'Busy Call Forward'
##67# -> deactivate 'Busy Call Forward'
*#61# -> check the status of 'No Answer Call Forward'
##61# -> deactivate 'No Answer Call Forward'
*#62# -> check the status of 'Unreachable Call Forward'
##62# -> deactivate 'Unreachable Call Forward'
*#21# -> check the status of 'All Call Forward'
##21# -> deactivate 'All Call Forward'
After several trial and error procedures, I find that the Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding option basically functions as the **21* + phone number process (activate 'All Call Forward') and the ##21# process (deactivate 'All Call Forward').

If you search for 'ios 6 call forwarding icon' on Google, you can see there are lots of people having this problem around the world.
I do really hope Apple can fix this ASAP as this dummy icon is quite confusing.

The reason why I encouter this problem maybe because I entered the code *#67# to check the call forwarding status just out of interest. And now I have this issue...

Have you tried contacting 3 to see if your account is setup correctly or if you need a new SIM?
You can try testing with another SIM or restoring the iPhone.

AirPlay icon keeps appearing in menu bar even though no devices are available

I've been experiencing this issue on my 2014 MacBook Air ever since I upgraded to Yosemite.
The AirPlay icon will randomly pop up in the menu bar and when I click on it, there are no AirPlay devices detected (which means the icon should have never popped up in the first place).
The frequency in which this occurs appears to be completely random. Sometimes it will go a week or two between occurrences and other times it will pop up several times a day. Over the last week, it's been popping up every day (what finally prompted me to make this post).
I've tried disabling both wireless and Bluetooth when the icon appears and it doesn't seem to have any effect.
This is starting to get really annoying. There's always that little part of me that's worried about somebody seeing me type in my credit card info or something.
Anyway, has anybody else experienced this? If this is some sort of bug, is Apple aware of it? Is there any way to just disable AirPlay altogether?

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Push notifications require an active Wi-Fi or cellular connection. If you are not receiving notifications for a specific app, try these steps:
Verify that the app supports notifications.
After installing an app or restoring a backup to a different iOS device, open the app at least once to begin receiving notifications.
If the app requires entering or logging in to an account, you will need to do this before receiving notifications.
Check Settings > Notifications to ensure that the app is configured for notifications.
If notifications do not appear only in the Notification Center, verify that the Notification Center setting for the app is enabled.
If you are still unable to receive notifications and you are using a Wi-Fi connection, verify that the network or firewall is not blocking access to port 5223.

TS1713 My mac sometimes will not power up even though it is fully charged and no matter how many key's I touch will not bring it on. It comes on after about 10 minutes and I have to shut down about 6 windows before I can open up a browser.

Try this for your home Wi-Fi:
On your iPhone, Settings > Wi-Fi > select your home network > "forget this network"
Power down (unplug) your wireless router
Restart your iPhone
Plug in your router
Re-join that network

If so, is it reparable?

It can't draw "too much" power, it can only draw as much as the USB port is able to provide and no more. IIRC, the keyboard port has a lower power output than the iMac's port.
That being said, yea, it's possible that the port has failed and it can be replaced or if another port works you can use that one. Although if it is still under warranty or covered by Apple Care, then I would take it to an Apple Store or service provider to get the port repaired.

Hi Connect iPhone to charger leave for 30 minutes Then press & hold power button & menu button hold both down until you see Apple Logo. If that doesn't work make an Appointment at Apple Store. Cheers Brian

Screensaver appears after a minute even I didn't set it up.

I bought a new 15" Mac Book Pro with retina display and SSD and 10.8.2 OSX. I have a strange problem with the screensaver. After 1 minute the screensaver appears even thought I never set it up. When I go to System Preferences at Display and Screensaver, at the Screensaver tab the "Start after" buton is not available (locked) and also is set to "Never" (even though is set to "Never" the screensaver appears). I tried a few thing but none of them worked. Can someone give me a clue? I'm afraid that if I reinstall the OS it will be the same. Thank you

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work.

If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode. Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the grey Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal.

ACR won't automatically identify Lens Profile Correction even though lens can be manually selected from drop-down

One of my most-used lenses is the new Canon EF 16-35L f/4.0
It does need lens profile correction; but Adobe Camera Raw isn't automatically loading it, as it does with all my other L lenses.
I can manually pick the lens from the list, so the profile has definitely been loaded, but manual selection takes time, and time is bad for workflow.

If that lens profile is indeed the proper one for your lens, rather than something being slightly different and why ACR isn’t selecting it, then the situation is easy to fix:
When you have a raw photo open that was taken with that lens, then in the Lens Corrections / Profile tab, first choose the proper lens profile, then under Setup, choose Save New Lens Profile Defaults. That should tell ACR you want it to choose that profile whenever it sees the lens the current raw file was taken with.
For this to work your CR defaults for photos opened with that camera need the Lens Corrections / Setup default set to Default and not Auto. Auto will skip the manually-defined defaults and Default won’t.
To set the Camera Raw defaults open a new raw photo that doesn’t have any adjustments, set the Lens / Setup to Default (rather than Custom or Auto) and choose Save New Camera Raw Defaults from the menu that appears after clicking on the small icon at the right of the Lens Corrections title bar.

Am appearing offline to buddies even though it says I am 'online'

I've tried searching these forums and done a lot of the suggestions (ie changing the ports, checking/unchecking SSL) but nothing seems to work. All of my buddies / coworkers have been complaining that I am 'not online', even though iChat / AIM says I am 'connected', online, and available. I'm still online, am able to talk to ANYONE (if I message them), but everyone says I am invisible. And yes, this started happening after I upgraded to Lion.
I've tried using login.oscar.aol.com / slogin.oscar.aol.com, toggling between ports 80, 443, and 5190, even using SSL and non.
Also: my coworkers, on the same network at work, seem to be using iChat fine and with the normal system default (SSL unchecked, login.oscar.aol.com, port 5190). This did not work for me.
Anyone else seeing this error? I am at a loss. I've restarted, deleted my aim account and re-added it, all the normal fixes someone could think of.

The Lion/iChat 6 upgrade makes the AIM Logins change the server name to api.oscar.aol.com
This can apparently handle both SSL and non SSL logins (no Name change like earlier versions).
However you can manually enter the older server name and the default port and Server names appear when you swap between SSL and Non SSL logins (slogin.oscar.com and login.oscar.aol.com)
(you do not say if your colleagues are using Lion/iChat 6)
It is true that the older servers would accept a login on almost any port.
We took to suggesting port 443 as this is open in most routing devices and used by Mail apps and Web Browser when doing Secure Logins.
Differences in what iChat has set as the Logged in Status and what Buddies see can be down to another login somewhere else that you may have forgotten about.
AIM express, even on a phone, has a default Login period of two weeks (unless you change it if you don't specifically Log out when you have Finished.
Obviously you could also have another app logged in that can do AIM Logins. Adium or ProteousX seem to be the most popular.
I would set iChat to Not allow Multiple Logins and then restart iChat.
This way you will get a Message from "AimSysMessage" as a Buddy asking if you want to log out the other Login (if there is one)
Replying with a "1" (no Quotes) logs out that other instance.
I would then restart iChat again just to make sure there are not other logins.

What happens if you mark it, and then right-click on the blank gray area (under "places" for example)? Do you then get the "remove from sidebar" option?
