No, I have not chosen photos to share as I assumed that the Apple TV would access all photos and music that are stored on my iMac.

Please note that the transcode quality from the GTX 460 (using CUDA) appears to be the worse of the lot.This 100 Cuda Core myth is so out of control. There is not a limitation to the amount of CUDA cores the MPE uses or any other CUDA based application. CUDA does not work that way. Think of it like a sprinkler. You have 1 stream of water coming in and a water droplets going to the first available opening. Cuda throws out threads to any Core available. It is not like standard CPU based applications where it has to be multithreaded correctly to thread out to multiple cores. Some benchmark site did a test and came to an incorrect assumption because they did not understand how CUDA really works. There use to be a very extensive white paper on Nvidia's website that explained CUDA memory management and threading. Last time I looked for it , it was no longer there but it may be back up again. Sheesh this has become as bad as someone putting something up on Wikapedia.

My Iphone 4 is coming up with an Icloud Backup alert... i cannot get out of it or do anything even though i am pressing the ok button it still stays there and i can't even turn my phone off. Hi I have downloaded compressor4 from Apps store but it won't open - says compressor not properly installed. The reason for my purchase was that compressor 3 stopped working. I tried to reinstall from the FCP disk but it was 'greyed out'. I followed suggestions from the apple site to clear various library files - mainly relating to Qmaster but this didn't make any difference, an iwonder igf perhaps this is the reason for the compressor 4 programme not working. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your Wi-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
Tap and Forget this Network.
Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.

Windows Could not find the Driver for your Apple iPod USB Device (5G 30GB)
I have a 8GB iPod Nano. My roommate has a 30GB 5G Video. Black.
My iPod syncs flawlessly. His is not recognized by Windows or iTunes. Every time we plug in the iPod, it prompts us for the driver. I tried to install the update apple mentions through the windows process, but after going through the tedious Windows Genuine Verification process, I was told that the update didn't apply to my computer.
We use a Lenovo Thinkpad T60p, which shipped with Windows Vista Business.
We are running iTunes 7.3.1.3, and there are no windows updates available for the computer.

...reinstalled 7.3.1.3 (over and over and over)
...tried different USB ports. (Early on, we saw it once after swapping ports).
...tried turning off the ability of the computer to 'Turn this device off to save power."
I have also verified that the iPod works on my work Dell Lattitude D620 running XP, and that it's not the cord, as we've used the cord that came with my Nano as well.
So, the problem seems to be with vista, as many people seem to have had. The best thread I found that deals with this was http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=995793.
But even after having tried everything, I still have an unrecognizable iPod.
When I run iPod diagonostics, everything seems okay, except for the iPod connection, which says failed. I've had difficulty working with the iPod service under Computer/Device Manager - it doesn't ever seem to stop or start, with the iPod plugged in or not.
And interestingly enough, the FAT32 external harddrive that I use to back up my data exhibits exactly the same problem ("Windows could not find the driver for your USB Mass Storage Device). This device worked great in XP, and even odder, I have a FAT32 partition of the main HD as a swap space between my VistaOS and my Ubuntu installation.
Do I have to chalk this up to another issue with Windows Vista? What bothers me there is that you're a ping-pong between windows support and apple support - no one really owns up the problem.Bill, I've been stuck in this loop for 3 months since buying a new laptop with Vista Basic. I've tried everything to no avail. I don't know what else to do apart from buying a cheap PC running XP. Let me know if you manage to find a solution and I'll do the same.

I could not install the upgrade for iTunes and Error Message said " Can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing". Reinstalling has NOT helped. . Is the fault with the Apple iTunes upgrade?
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique. -
My iPad suddenly stopped working with my home network. It shows the network to choose from but will not connect. When I look at details in that network it does not show IP address or any other info for the network. Setting is on DHCP and http proxy is set on auto. Network is active and can connect on wife's iPad and other home computers. Do I have another setting wrong?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

if i open passbook on iphone 5, it always say cannot connect to itunes, any fix from apple tech support? and whats the reason for this problem? why do we have to figure it out and not even apple can give answer??
actually i found out how to fix it
1 sign out of apple account
2 close down passbook app
3 change year to 2013
4 reopen passbook and sign in at the button with your apple ID
5 change the time to auto update and it should work from now on.

My Iphone 5 home button keeps pressing itself but stops if put pressure on the bottom of the screen on each side of the home button, i have noticed that there is a screw missing on the right side of the lightning port could this be the issue??
