TS2972 What is the point of Home Share if all devices must have the same Apple ID? Three family members in this home would like to use the facility but all have different Apple IDs.

Three family members use ITunes and would like to use Home Share but the HOme Share set-up guidance states that all devices must use the same Apple ID.
Is there a workaround for this impasse?

Are it's amazing what going to the apple classes can do for you, lol the problem was air play has turned off no doubt when the upgrades were done, but thanks to the training apple gave me I was able to reason the problem out yah! I love my apple.

I tend to select things from left to right and every time I am moving in a downward right diagonal motion during lasso selection I am missing a clear view and I am tending to have a more sloppy selection. All this does is slow me down since I need to go back and hit those areas again. The big arrowhead just get's in the way. The original lasso tool with the thin line and small active point at it's lower left was far better for me.
I don't like turning the cursors to precise because I like to see the active tool icon where my cursor is and as the icon changes as I hold modifier keys down. If I am forced to get comfortable with using pricise cursors I guess I will, but man, I've never had to do this in my 15 years of photoshop use...
I would absolutely LOVE to find a way to get the old lasso icon -- without the arrowhead above it.

We have a need for BRAND and PLGTP (and temporarily using ETIAG for managing some material groupings) and since the fields exist in MARA, I would like to use them without switching on Retail (Finance wants to use Material Determination so Retail can not be switched on). I have created a subscreen for Material Master with these fields and the values correctly update into MARA plus I am also able to use them for pricing without problems (with appropriate extension of KOMP, etc). My question is whether or not these fields might cause issues somewhere I am not expecting

I think I will do this. I will use my apple ID and set face time and message to work independently. That solves one problrem. My other problem and maybe my bigger problem is that if I am using my apple ID, how do I iflter all of this so that my kids don't see my contacts, get my apps, etc. ?

It would depend on how old your IMac is, how mush memory you have, it it can be upgraded by OWC, etc. I have a 2006 Macbook Pro and would NOT put Mavericks on it or espeacially FCP 10.1.1 on it because the most memory it can have is 4 GB. You need at least 8 GB to work with Final Cut Pro 10.1.1. IMHO.
I would try to find a copy of Final Cut Express perhaps.

The top screenshot is the Windows Open dialog box. All File > Open... commands in all Windows programs bring it up. Try File > Open in Notepad for example.
It belongs to Windows not Adobe. You cannot change this because there is no such thing as an Adobe Open dialog box.
The bottom screenshot is Windows Explorer. It is Windows' OS File Browser, not an Open dialog. It is not called up by Photoshop or any Windows program.
You have to click on "My Computer" or a Folder icon to get to it. You can double-click a psd, jpeg or other image file in the Explorer window so that it opens in Photoshop.
There is Adobe Bridge and Minibridge Alt + Ctrl + O or File > Browse in Bridge

There are many apps in the App Store that claim to do this. Though I have no first hand experience.
Search for hotkeys on the App Store.
Though if you are happy using Automator here's a guide to Setting Launch App.

Please locate the model number on the side of the AirPort Express. Hard to see.....gray lettering on a white background....so you may likely need a magnifying glass and good lighting to see it.
The model number starts with a "A" followed by four numbers. If you see A1084 or A1088, unfortunately AirPort Utility 6.x in Mavericks OS X (10.9.4) does not support these older models. However, you can still administer these models if you have a Mac.....or can borrow one for a few minutes....using Leopard (10.5.x) or Snow Leopard (10.6.x), or a PC with AirPort Utility installed on the device.
