TS2988 Ringtone Not showing up on actual phone

The ringtone shows up in my itunes on my computer and under my phone when it is connected.  But when i look at the sounds setting on my phone the ringtone is not there.  And when i look for the ring tone on my actual phone it is not found.

I just figured this one out.   plug your iPhone into your computer and open iTunes.  You should see your device listed on the left.  Click on your device.  You should then see a window with choices across the top: Summary, info, apps, tones, etc.  Click tones.  Make sure "all tones" is selected, then click sync.  It will then sync to your phone.  Hope this helps!

By the way, I have tried shutting of the display switching in the power settings.  That was basically the only real answer I found anywhere.  It didn't work.

If the app is G-Toolkit and you have a Gmail app on your iPhone, delete the Gmail app.  Apparently the G-Tool kit is tied to a Gmail app.  From searching the web my impression is that G-Toolkit is not spyware and is from a legitimate company that produces app for several platforms.

  • I downloaded ios7 after being asked to restore. But now my phone wont connect to the activation server and is asking to restore again but I cant because itunes does not show any of my phone information

I downloaded ios7 after being asked to restore. But now my phone wont connect to the activation server and is asking to restore again but I cant because itunes does not show any of my phone information (it just shows a blank white screen with "iphone" in the centre".

I imagine a ton of people are attempting to activate after the update, and the server is getting overloaded. Simple patience, maybe keep trying, and if possible, try a little later. Think of it as all those people lining up at Apple Stores + about a million more.

  • Purchased ringtones not showing

Hi I bought an album of ringtones from iTunes however they will not show up as ringtones in either iTunes or my iPhone. So far a waste of $9! I hve looked everywhere and tried lots of stuff but to no avail. I even tried changing the extension from .mva to .mvr - at least now the info shows up as a ringtone but will not put it in the tones folder. i have deleted them and brought them back in severl times but no change.
Any ideas?  I thought if I did the right thing and actually purchased the ringtones that they should work??
    Cheers
    Nick

Check to be sure they are really ringtones and not just music files that can be converted to ringtones.  To check, right-click on the files in iTunes, select Get Info, on the Summary tab they must say Kind: Ringtone.  If the don't, follow the steps shown in this video to convert them to ringtones, then sync them to your phone: http://cnettv.cnet.com/create-free-ringtones-itunes-10/9742-1_53-50093086.html.

  • Ringtone Not Showing Up in iPhone

I purchased a song from iTunes. Utilized the 'Create Ringtone' tool within iTunes and purchased the ringtone. I synched the phone with my computer. The 'Ringtone' folder in my Library and on my iPhone both show the new ringtone which I created so it seems as though it was synched correctly. However the ringtone does not show up on my iPhone under Settings>Sounds>Ringtone. Just the standard out-of-box ringtones are there.
The ringtone is under 30 seconds. Manually synch ringtones is unchecked. I am baffled by this one. I synched the phone multiple times. What am I missing? I thought I was pretty savvy at the iPhone but this is my first custom ringtone so I guess I have a lot to learn.

Were these ringtones purchased or created via exporting to a 40 second clip? To play them on your phone they must be less than 30 seconds AND in AAC format with a .m4r extension. Technically you can create a ringtone from any song in your library by doing this. In file info of th song change the start and stop time to any :30 second...or less... Time and follow the preceding steps.
    Good luck.

  • Purchased Ringtones not showing in Sounds folder

I have purchased a couple of ringtones from itunes but they are not showing up in my Settings\Sounds\Ringtone folder.
How does a person get them into that folder or have the iphone 4s recognize where they are so access can be gained.
Currently they can be seen in my Music app and when my phone is connected to my iMac I can see them in Devices \ iphone \ purchased area.
    Thanks

  • Shared Outlook Calendars not showing up on my phone

I have an Outlook Calendar that works on my Samsung Galaxy S4, but I have 2 other outlook calendars that are shared with me on the same account that I can not seem to get to show up on my phone.   How do I get the shared outlook calendars to show up with my own calendar?

Actually, the accounts can not be added as they are not my accounts.   These are two members of my family who have their own outlook accounts.   They “shared” their calendars with me so that I can see them.   I want to see them on my Samsung Galaxy S4 but I can’t.   I can see them on my laptop and I could see them on my iPhone but when I changed to the Samsung, I can’t see them.   There has got to be a way to see them.

  • Ringtones not showing up on iphone

Anyone have their ringtones dissapear after downloading the ios5 software?  My itunes account shows that I have a ringtone, but I can't find it under 'sounds' in my iphone settings.
    boo

I called Apple support today and after 33 minutes and some voodoo, here is the solution.
    1. In iTunes, click on your device, then in the main window click on ring tones at the top.
    2. Make sure the box "Sync Ringtones" is checked, then check "selected ringtones" then UNCHECK all of them and click apply to sync your phone. This should remove any and all traces of ringtones from your phone.
    3. Unplug your phone.
    4. Restart your computer
    5. Start iTunes and make sure you are signed in. Click on Store and look to see if it says "sign out" or something like that at the bottom. If you are not signed in, then sign into the iTunes store.
    6. Go to the Ringtones tab for the device and make sure all the ringtones are still unchecked.
    7. Sync the phone. This should update everything except your ringtones.
    8. On the ringtones tab for the device, select all the ringtones.
    9. Sync the phone. This time they should all transfer.
    10. check on your phone and hope this worked.
There are a couple steps in here I question, but this is what they told me to do and it worked.
    Good luck

  • Music, View Options - Ringtones not showing up?

iTunes 8.0.2.20, iPhone 3G software 2.2. Many other threads complain of the 'bell' not being visible beside tracks that should be available as ringtones. In my iTunes the option to display rintones is not in the list. There is a Library item named 'Ringtones', but ringtones that I purchased do not show up there either. In 'Devices' the iPhone shows a tab for Ringtones, but their is nothing showing up there.
I uninstalled iTune and re-installed, but same problem. (It seems to me that it might be something wrong in the Windows Registry.)
I would appreciate any help ... perhaps a clean uninstall (instructions needed)

Did you buy the ringtone or just the song from which to make the ringtone.
To make a ringtone in itunes you must:
Buy the song - 99 cents
Find the song in the library and click the bell or highlight the song and click file>Create Ringtone
The editor will appear and you edit the song to the portion you want
Then you click "Buy" - another 99 cents
    Then sync iphone

  • Ringtones not showing up in my iTunes

The songs that I've downloaded that I know can be converted into ringtones are not showing up in the ringtone column in my iTunes (yes, I have 'show ringtones' selected in the 'view options' folder). When ringtones was first offered, everything worked welll but for some reason, the past 2-3 weeks I cannot seem to get them to show up. Currebtly running windows/office 2007. Suggestions?

    pingbrad,
You can try unchecking the ringtone option in the View >View Options and clicking 'OK.' Then go back in and try checking it again. See if the songs update and show the ringtone symbol next to them. If you still do not see a ringtone icon for a song that should be capable, try right-clicking on the song to see if it will allow you to make a ringtone out of it.
    Hope this helps,
    Jennifer B.
