Wireless keyboard stopped connecting to iMac. Replaced batteries, restarted computer. Keyboard blinks green- cannot get steady green light. Computer does not recognize keyboard, nor connect. Tried deleting device and re-connecting, but keyboard is never seen by the Mac. Also tried same keyboard with a Macbook Air and keyboard was not recognized. other bluetooth device (mouse) works fine. Ideas?

For now, try a SMC reset.

I have finally cracked it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The issue is definitely with Java Sun. "Uneven character spacing when printing JTextComponent"
It is raised on the http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6488219
And currently in OPEN state, and raised on 31 Oct 2006 and mentions it was caused by fix 4352983.
So where do we go from here. It's not good because I have tried all later version of the JVM and the issue is still there.
Why? Because it hasn't been fixed yet. Read the bug report above, as it gives more insight -- and mentions the workaround is NOT good for existing code.
So the way forward is to use an earlier version of the JVM 5.
I download the JVM version 1.5.0 (starting version) and works Ok... I would probably think version prior to 4352983 would be Ok too.
Please vote for this.... We have a workaround (use older version of the JVM).

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with the explicit songs in iTunes. Have you checked to see if the explicit content is restricted in your iTunes Preferences?
If you have "Music with explicit content" checked under the Restrict menu, it will restrict music that is shared, on iTunes in the cloud, and music in the iTunes Store.

Garagekey USB keyboard works with MacBook Pro, but not with 27" iMac

Just got a brandnew 27" iMac. The Garagekey USB keyboard doesn't work. It's recognized in systemProfiler, Audio-Midi Setup, GarageBand and Logic. But no Midi is coming in. When I plug it into my MacBook Pro, it works immediately. I know the Garagekey doesn't work with some 3rd party USB hubs, maybe for lack of enough power, but it works always at the internal USB hubs with the MacBook Pro. Why doesn't it with the 27" iMac? I'm cueless...
The IMac Systemprofiler says: Current Available (mA) 500, Current Required (mA) 300. So I guess, it can't be a power problem?

Have the same problem with Logic Pro. Works on my old Mac Mini but not on the new iMac 27" i5. Apple told me that it is a difference between the boards they used on the two computers. They said that even if I got a new mac mini I would run into the same problem. they recommended that I upgrade my mini, or try another piece of hardware to connect the two. Looking for hardware now. make sure it's not being connected to by any of the other two
one can only connect 1 device at the time and just by waking up sometimes a headset connects to a device

My iPad stopped connecting to all wi-fi connections

Yesterday, I was in my web browser, and all of a sudden, my pages started loading slowly and wouldn't completely load every time. Then, after 15 minutes or so, they stopped loading at all and I get the error "Cannot Open Page: Could not connect to the server." My wifi was still showing a strong signal, so I just thought it was a problem with the public connection I was using.
When I got home, however, I've had the same problem and haven't been able to connect here either even though my wifi says it's connected. None of my apps connect to the internet either. Did my wifi card go bad?

try resetting network settings. settings>general>reset>reset network settings
if that doesnt work then try restoring the software. plug it into itunes and hit back up now, then restore ipad. set it up as new before u do anything and test the wifi. if it is still messing up then the hardware is bad and u should get the ipad replaced. if the wifi works then restore the itunes back up and go from there.

The Windows 8 which I have recognizes that my iPod is connected however iTunes does not. I have tried all the things others have suggested as help guides but they are not working or simply too complex to do myself. All I want to do is put more music on my iPod but it seems like too big of an ask.

Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Featurs appin the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

I have found some archieved discussions about this, but none that went into detail about how to fix problem using proxies - I don't really understand what they are/ do.
I went into the Proxies screen, Only one box was checked, "Use Passive FTP Mode (PASV)" I unchecked it, and made no difference. There was also some stuff written in the "Bypass proxy settings for these hosts and domains" I deleated that and nothing different happened. Have also tried some other DNS numbers, nothing worked yet.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried a 'hard reset'. You do not lose any of your data on the iPad.
Here are the steps:
    Press the Power Buton and the Home button simultaneously.
    Continue to hold down both buttons until the iPad shuts off
    Release the buttons when the Apple Logo appears.
Also, make sure your iPad is not in airplane mode. Settings, Airplane mode is the first option under settings,

Please consider to configure Windows Firewall or disable it. Not only Windows Firewall but any security software.

Windows Firewall is enabled by default.
Make sure you are using SQL Server Native Client to create the ODBC DSN. Not all Windows versions have it, so you may need to download and install it.

TS1440 A flashing question mark appeared when I started my MacBook Pro, I've tried all the suggestions and nothing has worked. How can I back up my current files so I can reinstall Mavericks?

I recently did a manual reboot after my MacBook Pro had frozen, and instead of the usual Apple and loading icon, it gave me the flashing question mark on a folder, which I've never encountered before. I looked up some possible reasons on my PC, and after reading that there's a problem with my HD I tried looking up how to back up my files so that I can do a clean reinstall of Yosemite (latest ver.). However, I've never used anything like Time Machine or anything else that could back up all my files, so it didn't sound like I could do anything about that at this point. I've also tried going into Disk Utility and attempting to repair the disk image. There was only 2 available, disk0 and the base system. I verified the base system, and told me there was nothing wrong (it didn't give me the option to repair anything either, on both available options). I don't think this is the right thing though, since my drive was called MacBook Pro HD. So basically this is the point I'm at now. Is there anything I can do that will repair my HD without erasing all my files?

I've tried all the suggestions and nothing has worked.
I verified the base system, and told me there was nothing wrong

You can boot into Recovery and re-install the OS X on top of what you have. It will preserve your user data.
