TS3048 wireless mouse loosing conection

I have problems with wireless mouse, frequently loosing connection

Apple's build-in bluetooth connection for peripherals isn't all that great.
As a result of this it is possible that your mouse disconnects from time to time. I've experienced through the years, that their signal is indeed very weak.
If this is not an experience threatening problem, I would not worry about it too much.
Another cause of this problem might be your batteries. I myself am unaware of the exact link between batteries and your connection, but googling the internet might provide some insight on the situation.

  • TS3048 My mouse looses its bluetooth connection constantly.

It will reconnect, but then disconnects again within seconds.  Have new batteries, have tried turning off and on, restart computer.  Keyboard is also bluetooth and is fine, so no disruption to bluetooth.  It is driving me crazy..... can someone please help?

I've experienced a similar problem.  The mouse doesn't automatically connect on restart, and looses connection. I have tried all the fixes I could research: remove the battery until it resets, delete the profile from the bluetooth menu, delete the preferences in both the main and user libraries, rebuild permissions in Disk Utility, and reset the pram (command-option-p-r while restarting before getting the start-up chime. There is another start-up reset command beyond pram, but I don't remember what it is.
The one constant was that it's identity from when it was used on another computer (which it never worked properly on either) would not reset to the current computer it was being used on.
If none of the fixes above work, your mouse is probably defective.

  • Loosing connection for wireless mouse...?

Every time I turn my MBP on or switch users, my wireless mouse looses its connection and I have to set it up again as a new device. Anyone know a way around this so?

How patient are you? I find it can take a minute or two before the Mac gets around to re-acquiring my Kensington Bluetooth mouse. This is what happens on an iMac, but it may well be similar on a MacBook. It's tedious and annoying, but I rarely log out or reboot, so it hasn't been too big a problem for me.

  • Loosing connection on my wireless mouse

    Hello all...
I am wondering if someone has the same problem. I have a new Imac 27" and for some reason I keep loosing connection between the computer and the wireless mouse. Didn´t happened before... but since I changed the batteries in both the mouse and the keyboard it started to do it... I don´t understand how that would cause that problem... The batteries are new..
    Any advice?
    Thanks a lot

  • My wireless mouse for my iMac keeps loosing connection. Started after I was having problems with computor not waking up and I put the the setting to "never". Anyone having same problem?

My wireless mouse for imac keeps loosing connection. Started after I was having truoble with computor not waking up and I put the setting to "never sleep". Any suggestions?

If it's an Apple mouse, make it "Favorite" in Bluetooth preferences.
If it's not, the same thing might help, too, but if the problem continues it could be a driver issue (possible incompatibility with your OS X version).

  • TS3048 can't scroll up and down with wireless mouse, I have checked setting and everything looks good.  Any suggestions on what else I can check?

My wireless mouse has stopped scrolling up and down.  I have checked my settings and everything looks good.  Any suggestions on what else to check?

    Hi:
I wish my suggestion had gotten you further.
I do suggest you try to connect the keyboard again.  The request for a number is a step in it trying to pair.  If it gets by the number, it sometimes takes a little while to get connected.  If you are unable to get it connected and want a new one, I have been using Apple Bluetooth keyboards for years - and I like them. The one I have (the newest model) only uses two batteries and is very thin.
Speaking of batteries, if you are not already doing so, you might consider rechargeables.  I have a drawer full of them and use a 15 minute charger.  I go tired of buying batteries and rechargeables are environmentally friendly to boot. At the moment, I use 2450 mAh Energizers and a 15 minute Energizer charger (all purchased new on eBay at a very reasonable price).
I am far from an iPad "expert," although I have one.  If my suggestion below does not help, post your question in a separate thread in the iPad forum.
I had a terrible time syncing my iCal on my Mac with my iPad iCal (confusing - hopefully it makes sense).  I quit using iCloud as that added to the confusion. There is a facility to one-time sync items.  When you connect your computer to your iPad, iTunes opens.  The system begins a process (automatic backup and so on). After it finishes, you can click on "info."  At the bottom of the screen, there is an advanced section.  You can select any of the items and then force it to sync. The iCal information from your computer would be deposited on the iPad.
After all that, I do not use a Google calendar so the information may be worthless to you.
If you want to reset the iPad to factory settings, you can do that when it is connected to iTunes (one of the options).  Me being me, I try never to erase anything.

I just had the same problem. And I found the solution, on Youtube.
The problem is that these ******** at apple designed the battery compartement, the distance between metal contacts too big.
That means the batteries plus or minus poles are not touching the corresponding contacts in the mouses battery compartement.
Most likely the battery doesn't get pushed up to touch the plus contacts.
I used a fingernail to push the battery up and tadaa, the green LED came on.
The guy in the Youtube video just put some folded aluminium foil under the minus poles for bridging the gap.
See here, "How to fix the Apple Magic Mouse!":

    Hope this helps.

Where do you use it.   On a desk, a mousepad?   Is the mouse pad a solid dark colour?   If you have some plain black cloth, try it on that.

  • TS3048 Wireless keyboard / mouse connection lost

I have lost connection to both my wireless mouse and keyboard. I have checked batteries but cannot access the computer to check any settings. Any ideas anyone?

    Hello:
It sounds like something is amiss with your Bluetooth hardware.
Try resetting the SMC (this can be done without a KB or mouse).

Is it possible that you have a bad bunch of batteries?
My Magic Mouse on one computer and the Mighty Mouse on another use batteries I bought through the Apple store (with a charger). They last a long time.

Another possiblity is that the mouse is defective. Since the keyboard connects, it has to be the mouse or the batteries.
