On my PC cannot reinstall iTunes after I was told too I did everything I was told to do but still not working never had this problem before just about tried everything Help I'm not a computer geek. Is it Microsoft problem or Apple problem?
Hi jlewis27,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you are not able to reinstall iTunes, be sure you have used these instructions to ensure that iTunes and all of its related components are removed from your computer:
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

I need to uninstall itunes as suggested so I can install windows 7, but all if it will not uninstall... I get a message that the old itunes cannot be removed. I removed everything as per itunes uninstall instructions, but this one file will not be removed. I keep getting the message "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" and "the installation source for this product is not available.. verify that the source exists and that you can access it" I have searched the entire computer for other itunes files including itunes.msi which seems to be the missing file. To no avial. So I cannot reinstall itunes!! (still using Vista have not put windows 7 in yet waiting for a bit so I wanted itunes back in my computer) How do I get rid of this last file?

Brought up iTunes. Got Msg. that I had to uninstall and reinstall iTunes. Uninstalled iTunes from the control panel. No error message. But when uninstall was finished the Icon was still on the desktop. Tried uninstall again. Got message that the application couldn't be uninstalled, it didn't exist. Tried to install the newly downloaded iTunes exec. Got message that quicktime was required and iTunes could not find Quicktime and ended. Tried to reinstall Quicktime(even from older .msi file). Got message that the older version of Quicktime cannot be removed contact technical support. And then ends.

Disable your anti-virus while reinstalling iTunes.
If you still get a registry access error try b noir's user tip:

The technique can be applied to the branch of the registry mentioned in the error message.

Cannot reinstall iTunes - 64bit version on Win7 computer
When trying to install (actually reinstall) iTunes (itunes6464setup) as an administrator (Windows7), the install ends with the following message:" iTunes Installer completed. Errors occurred during installation before iTunes could be configured. Your system has not been modified. To complete the installation, run the installer again. Click Finish to exit the installer" The same message results with each successive try.
I've found the instructions on how to uninstall iTunes after already deleting parts of iTunes and therefore did not uninstall the components in the proper sequence. I suspect that is a big part of my issue.
I've deleted all the folders associated with iTunes as mentioned in the instructions - none exist on my computer anymore. I've done a search for anything containing "iTunes" and "apple" and removed all that I could manually.
I've disabled anti-virus software prior to trying the install - no help. I've "cleaned" the registry and used utility programs to make sure I have no other issues.
At this point I am at a loss and would appreciate any help - short of reinstalling windows itself. Thanks in advance.Hello Gary,
We've an article that provides a host of troubleshooting steps that can help get iTunes working on your PC.

Cannot reinstall itunes windows
Must install 64 bit, seems to get to the end & then rewinds. Tried to download separately, gets stuck. I think the problem is with the apple support portion. I have a iPhone 4, iPod 4th, and shuffle with 2 different iTunes accounts.
