Itunes for windows version 8 won't open itunes store
I posted this under a related post as well - My itunes works on my windows pc, but not the store - First message said not enough memory, then yesterday, I downloaded itunes 8 for windows, then it still didn't connect to store, then I checked for all new updates and installed service pack 3, and firewall is off, and made sure I could get a connection to yahoo and I did. Also flushed the dns server. no pop up blockers on, to the best of my knowledge.
One of these discussions says to reset keychain and rename hosts, but I'd like to know if anyone knows anything else to suggest. I will have a more experienced person help me with those things. Apple wrote back to me and sent me to the discussion page as well. Some one recently posted this as a possible solution, I am afraid I don't have the link.
Go to your Internet Options either in IE or Control Panel, click on the content tab. Then Clear SSL state.
Let me know if it works.
P.S. this is specifically for the not enough memory error.
Failure to connect after an up grade is usually due to firewall blocking - especially if you have Norton.

I get the following message when opening itunes: "the registry settings used by the itunes drivers for importing and burning cd's and dvd's are missing. Downloading the latest version does no fix the problem
I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

ITunes for Windows: Error -9812 when accessing the iTunes Store
So here is the situation. When I try to access our iTunes U site from the public link it works great, when I go thru the link that has me authenticicate it works on macs but on PC's I get the error message "iTunes for Windows: Error -9812 when accessing the iTunes Store" it's happening all thru our campus with PC users. Any ideas?????
We're having similar connection issues, and the error log on our web server says something about a certificate error. I noted that last year on this date there were messages related to certificates. Is it possible they are updated every Dec 2, and we should count on some down time?

Error Message when open iTunes -42032. What can I do?
Error Message when open iTunes -42032. What can I do?
Try 2 solutions: 1. Press both Ctrl and Shift keys then double click on ITunes. Hold keys down until a box appears on screen indicating ITunes is starting in "safe mode'. left click on 'continue" and ITunes will run without closing.
2; Start ITunes normally, then after loading, choose "Match" and then touch "stop" beforre step 3 , Uploading songs...", runs for more than a few seconds. The code problems are in Match; the uploading function in Match. ITunes won't crash if you stop Match soon enough! -
I am getting a 42404 error message when opening itunes and itunes will not let me connect my iphone to it trying to get me to restore. I need help? I am not that technically inclined and really simple terms are appreciated.
Try downloading the songs from a different device. If you are doing it from your iOS device, try form your computer.

Error message when opening iTunes after updating Windows 8.1
I recently updated my windows software to 8.1. Now I am getting a message that iTunes stopped responding and must close. I tried to uninstall and reinstall iTunes but that has not fixed the problem. I cannot get iTunes to open. There is no error number when this dialogue box opens.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!Hello Socestlavie,
It sounds like iTunes is not opening correctly and is quitting on launch. I would troubleshoot the iTunes launch issues with the following article to help resolve the issue:
iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8: Fix unexpected quits or launch issues
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1717
First attempt starting iTunes in Safe Mode to see if the issue persists, and proceed accordingly.
Start iTunes in Safe Mode
Open iTunes in Safe Mode to isolate any interference from plug-ins or scripts not manufactured by Apple.
Hold down Shift–Control while opening iTunes. You should see a dialog that says "iTunes is running in safe mode" before iTunes finishes starting up.
Click Continue.
See if the issue you're experiencing persists in Safe Mode.
If you have the same issue while iTunes is in Safe Mode, proceed to the "Create a new user account" section. If you don't experience the same issue, follow these steps to remove third-party plug-ins.
If it comes down to reinstalling iTunes, there is an article provided that will uninstall iTunes AND its associated softwares for a complete wipe, and reinstall, so I would try that one more time, if needed.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

Error message "Itunes has stopped working" and closes when opening itunes store
I had problems with the latest itunes freezing up that i installed itunes 10.53 and it works fine now except when i go to the itunes store, itunes stops working and the whole program closes.I checked the diagnosics and everything comes up green lights. What could be the problem?
Let's try the following user tip with that one:
iTunes for Windows 10.7.0.21: "iTunes has stopped working" error messages when playing videos, video podcasts, movies and TV shows -
Why do I get an error message when opening Itunes on both my computers?
Error message reads "the program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from computer. Try reinstalling thr program...
The "program" is not given. I assume Itunes, and reinstalled but same message appears. The same issue happens with my laptop as well as desktop.
fyi, labeled "Windows error 126"Hello there, gordyl.
The following Knowledge Base article addresses the issue you're describing:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

iTunes prompted me to download and install the newest version of iTunes (11.1.4.62). I followed all on-screen prompts. iTunes installation gets to the very end, then I get a popup stating that I have a Runtime Error # R6034 "an application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the application's support team for more information. Okay, I am doing that. FYI, I am runnning Windows XP (SP3). Oh, and BTW, now iTunes is COMPLELETY unusable, and I cannot synch any of my multiple iOS devices. Help please!
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
See also HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP or HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.
