TS3212 Downloading iTunes

I keep getting an error message when trying to complete downloading iTunes dying to run it gain. I've run it 3 times now. Keep getting the same error message.

It didn't give me an error "message". Just said there was an error and run it again. It said this 3 times. After the 3rd attempt, I was finally successful. The reason I had this problem was because my computer was not recognizing my iPod, so I uninstalled ITunes, then had the problem Re-installing ITunes. My computer is still not reading my IPod.

  • TS3212 Downloading itunes on Lenovo Notebook with Windows 7

I am trying to download itunes on my Lenovo Notebook with Windows 7 via a wifi connection.  The box pops up to download itunes setup and I click download. On completion of setup download a prompt pops up to enter my administrator password which I do. Another box pops up that looks like an normal download box that says "Processing Additional Packages."  I have been waiting for 30 minutes and it has not made any progress.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • TS3212 Downloading itunes issues

I have a new samsung laptop with the windows 7, but every time i try to download the new itunes it keeps gettin to 99% and stopping! I have tried everything and nothing seems to work! I have the iphone 5 which needs the new itunes to run. so now i have a iphone that i cant use because i cant download itunes! What can i do?

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

  • TS3212 Downloading itunes problem

I just re-imaged my laptop back to factory settings and installed windows updates. When I try to download itunes, I am getting a message saying that the file is not safe and download does not complete. What is the problem?
I tried to download again using google chrome and I was able to save the exe but it does not install - it computer just flickers and then nothing else happens.

Download and save a full itunes setup file.
Use Winrar to unzip the file into a folder.  Then right mouse click the file AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi from that folder to install.
If you don't have winrar, you can go to this link to download a free trial version.

  • TS3212 Downloading iTunes 10.7

I am using a Mac and I downloaded the latest version of iTunes, and iTunes keeps telling me I need to download 10.6 or later? And it will not allow me to back up my phone. I have restarted my computer, and I get the same message. Help!

Perhaps check to see if you're accidentally running two different versions of iTunes. There's some information on troubleshooting that in the Opening iTunes section of the following document:

    Please!
    Thanks!

If anyone is reading this still looking for what caused the issue and how to fix it here is what I discovered.
The antivirus program our company uses, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, was causing some of the PDF files not to open. After troubleshooting the different modules and settings the culprit was..
Scan SSL in Privacy Control Settings. Turning it OFF solved the problem and all the PDF files that previously would not open now open just fine. This issue has been sent to Bitdefender for them to review. If you use a different antivirus program and are having this issue try locating the Scan SSL setting and see if turning it off solves the problem.

  • TS3212 Error message while downloading itunes

Trying to download itunes on my laptop with windows 7, getting an error message stating "Apple mobile device" not recognized.  My ipod is registered and the error message only asks to retry or ignore, niether works, any help would be great.

    many thanks.
Okay ... something may just have gone screwy with the permissions for your usual Windows user account. Unfortunately, that's a bit trickier to deal with on an XP system than on a Vista or 7 system.
Let's first try installing from inside a different Windows user account.
Create a new Windows user account with full administrative rights.
Log out of your usual user account, and log into the new user account. (Don't use fast user switching to move between the accounts.)
Try installing iTunes from inside the new user account.
If it installs, log out of the new account and log into the usual account.
Does your iTunes launch in there?

  • TS3212 i downloaded itunes on my windows 7 computer, but when i try running the setup file, it says it's not a valid win32 file. how do i fix this?

i just bought a brand new HP computer with the windows 7 and i'm trying to download itunes on my computer. I've used the email and a new one for the download. it'll go through the process of downloading the itunes setup, but when i go to the downloads folder in my computer and click on the file, it says it's not a valid Win32 file and won't open.  I've tried downloading the 64 bit version to se if that was the problem, but even that won't work.  please help!

Perhaps try downloading and saving a copy of the installer to a different PC. (If you're on a 32-bit Windows system, try to download on a different 32-bit Windows system.) Copy the iTunesSetup.exe installer to an external hard-drive, or a large-enough thumb drive or burn it to a CD-R. Carry the installer back to your PC, copy the installer to your hard drive. (Don't run the install from the ExHD, thumb or CD-R.) Start the install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe file.

Have been unable to download iTunes 11.1.4.  Get a pop-up stating that "Apple Mobile Device (Applre Mobile Device) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services".
Attempted download followed by message that iTunes was not installed correctly.  "Please reinstall iTunes  Error 7 (Windows error 126)".

    Hi txatxo
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  You may need to restart the Apple Mobile Device Service.  This article has instructions for doing this:
How to restart the Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS) on Windows
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1567
If that doesn't resolve the issue, I would recommend trying a thorough uninstall and reinstall of iTunes as described here:

First, I would try following along with the steps in this link:

  • TS3212 My hard disk crashed and I've gotten a new one and can't download iTunes, any suggestions?

I had a hard disk crash on my laptop, got it replaced and am using Windows 7 and trying to re-install iTunes using Google Chrome, but it keeps saying thank you for downloading iTunes without giving me the option to run or save the program first.  And of course I cannot find it or a shortcut to it anywhere on my system.  So it's obviously not downloading.  Anybody know how to fix this issue??
