TS3212 ITUNES download error for windows 8

After I install itunes an error message pops up saying apple application support was not found. I have uninstalled and re installed 5 times and still the same message pops up.  Is there anyone else who has this problem?

Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

If you go into control panel, uninstall a program.  Go down to Microsoft, you should see it

  • Itunes insall error for windows 7

when trying to update to the latest version of iTunes via the apple software update, i keep getting the error message:

Go directly to Apple link to download

  • ITunes install error for windows! How do I fix?

When I try to install itunes I get the following error:
Error 1406. Could not write value to key \Software\Classes\.cdda\OpenWithList\iTunes.exe. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key or contact your support personnel.
How do I fix this problem.
    Thanks!

You may have a problem with your registry permissions.
Sometimes creating another administrator account and installing from there may work around this.
Apple have this article on the registry key mentioned in your error:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2294?viewlocale=en_US
Otherwise try method 3 in this article:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949377/en-us
It is quite complicated to do, so follow the method carefully, the script can take quite a long time to run so be patient with it.

  • Trying to install iTunes 12.1 for Windows 8.1 (64-bit) and get Itunes error HRESULT: 0x800736B3

    Hello,
I am Trying to install iTunes 12.1 for Windows 8.1 (64-bit) and I get an Itunes window with an error that says:
An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,type="win32",version'8.0.50727.6195",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3 b9a1e18e3b"processorArchitecture="amd64". Please refer to help and Support for more information.HRESULT: 0x800736B3
    I already:
    - Uninstalled all old Itunes versions.
    - Tried a clean reboot to install the new version,
    - Installed the security update’ Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update’
But I still get the same error.
    Can someone help?
    Thanks!

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you still have trouble you might consider installing the alternate version iTunes 12.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards) where you can download a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of iTunes that works with older video cards. This version may also be useful for anyone who is unable to get the 64-bit version of Apple Application Support to install when using the itunes6464setup file, or has trouble with playback of certain video files despite having QuickTime installed.

  • 1080p download and playback bugs in iTunes 10.6 for Windows

There seems to be some bugs in iTunes 10.6 for Windows related to 1080p video.  According to Apple, the minimum specs for viewing 1080p video on a PC is:
To play 1080p HD video on a PC, you need a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor, 2GB of RAM, and an Intel GMA X4500HD, ATI Radeon HD, or NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS or better graphics processor.
My PC exceeds these specs (Intel i5-2500K 3.3GHz CPU, 8GB of RAM, AMD Radeon 7970 video card, 30" Apple Cinema Display).  The first bug appears when I go into the preferences setting and switch the download preference fom 720p to 1080p, which triggers a warning box that says:
This computer may not be able to play 1080p videos.  You can still download these videos for use on other devices.
That's odd but I press "OK" and downloaded the 1080p copy of a TV episode.  When I press play, another warning box popped up:
Video is too large.  The 1080p version of [show] is too large to play on this computer.  You can choose to play a smaller 720p version of this movie below.  This message will be dismissed in XX seconds.
The message gives you three options: PLAY SMALLER VERSION / OK / CANCEL.  If I select OK or simply let the timer run down, the 1080p video starts playing without any problems.  Anyone else seeing this?

Oh that clarifies things, I see what you mean.  The error message still confuses me because even your smaller Acer monitor matches the pixel resolution of the 1080p video - the video doesn't exceed the monitor's pixel ratio so it's not technically "too large" as the error message says.  The 1080p video should fill your Acer monitor edge to edge while leaving black borders on the top and bottom of your Samsung.  I think this is clearly a bug in iTunes.
I know what you mean about the movie opening up so that a portion of the image is off the screen but that sounds like an issue related to the default position of the window when you start a video.  The default position is such that a smaller size like the SD copy probably isn't cut off but that a larger video does get chopped until you change where videos open by default.  I can change the position simply closing the video while it's playing.  iTunes remembers the place on the screen where I closed the video and opens all videos at the spot afterwards.  Does that not work for you?

  • Downloading iTunes 7.6 for windows not working properly

OK, I downloaded iTunes 7.6 for windows 3 separate times. The first time after completing the download, an error message popped up that states: "iTunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing. Please reinstall iTunes." Well I went back to your site two more times to download the software again, each time I get a pop-up that asks if I want to remove iTunes or repair it, each time I select REPAIR and it goes through the download process and says it is complete. Then each time I attach my shuffle, that error message pops up again and says there that iTunes is missing files. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!!!! I CANNOT ATTACH MY SHUFFLE TO ACCESS MY MUSIC!!!!

  • I tried to download the latest upgrade and got the following: "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 193).  Program Files/Common Files/Apple/Apple Application Support\ApplePushService.dll

I tried to download the latest upgrade and I got a message telling me "The application or DLL ProgramFiles/CommonFiles/Apple/Applie Application Support\ApplePushService.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette." and then below that another message "iTunes was no installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 193).  I tried reinstalling and it still will not work.

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7,now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP,head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

  • ITunes 10.5 for windows vista 64 bits - error

I've been trying to install itunes 10.5 since december and even after the newer versions were out i've been having the same problem.
    An error occur:
An error occurred during installation of assembly
    'Microsoft.VC80.CRT type="Win32",version="8.0.50727.6195",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",process
orArchitecture='x86'. Please refer to Help and
Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x80070002
Then I have to cancel it. Then shows: iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 127).
I was told to scan the PC, uninstall and reinstall all apple programs, or uninstall from the highest version to the lowest version and reinstall in chronological order.
But no version of itunes 10.5 works. Not even the newest version at: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1427?viewlocale=pt_BR works.
Only the 10.4 version I had before can work, and now my iphone has iOS 5.0 and i cant use my itunes.
    Any new ideas?

Its a Issue with your C++ Library on your computer, a way to fix it is to Rebuild your entire C++ Library from uninstalling the highest version to the lowest verision and reinstalling them back in chronological order..
I would suggest to contact apple support, request a Senior advisor they should be able to get that squared away, now if your not in phone support period you will probably have to pay for support.
I'd suggest the apple care if you havent got it yet

  • ITunes is telling me to install Quicktime to play my movies, but the download is for Windows 7 and I have 8.  What's the solution?

iTunes says I need to install Quicktime.  When I clicked on MORE INFO, the Quicktime download is for Windows 7/Vista.  I have Windows 8.  I can play all movies except Dirty Dancing, altho I can play the extras...  Do I need to install Quicktime?

Either you don't have a SIM in the phone, which is required for activation, or you have a phone that was probably hacked to unlock it.
    A) Do you have a SIM in the phone?
    B) Where EXACTLY did you get the phone?

  • ITunes Error 7 (Windows error 127) after installing iTunes 64-bit for Windows

After installing iTunes 64-bit for Windows (latest build), I get an error pop-up saying:
iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes
    Error 7 (Windows error 127)
I've gone thru the uninstall, reboot and reinstall process three or four times now. Still nothing.
Furthermore, after clicking okay to the error, it continues to pop up on it's own every 45 seconds or so.
There was one other error I came across after trying to launch iTunes after installation.
    See both error messages here:

Brilliant. Thanks a lot. I've wasted a couple of hours on this nasty bug, & trying all the other suggestions across various threads again and again.
I now find I had the same registry entry hanging on, despite uninstalling & wiping everything again and again. Having now deleted this key, (I don't even have an iPod), & iTunes 11.1.14 now opens at long last.
But WHY is this bug not fixed? Enough people are suffering with this across the forum. WHERE is Apple support on this?
It should have been added to their page at
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
    by now, why hasn't it???
    It's not good enough!
    Re:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls]
    "C:\\Program Files\\iPod\\bin\\iPodService.exe"=dword:80000000
AHA! This entry for iPodService.exe still exhisted.  So I had no folders on the PC, no installs on the PC and no services running.... BUT this was still in the Registry.
Step 5 - Delete only the Registry entry above.  NO REBOOT
    Step 6 - Reinstall iTunes64.exe

  • How to fix a download error for itunes on an iphone?

How can one fix a "download error" for itunes on an iphone?

    Hi..
    First, try resetting your iPhone.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Then restart the device.    Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears.  Slide to power off.  After it is off, press the power button to turn it back on.

Also, in browser debug mode, it gives me the URL https://secure-appldnld.apple.com/iTunesSetup.exe but there is no file available.
