TS3212 Problem in installing iTunes on my PC

My iTunes stopped working, so I tried to do a repair (using a command in Control Panel where you can uninstall programs).  When this was not successful, I decided to uninstall it and then reinstall.  Now it won't install. I keep getting this error message:  "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system servces. I don't know what to do next.

You should post over in the correct forum.

  • Problem with installing iTunes

So these are my problems with installing iTunes.
    At first it was :
A required iTunes component is not installed. Please repair or reinstall iTunes (-45019)
Then it got worse as it would not even open and these would appear:
The program can't start because AVFoundationCF.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
    and this would appear:
iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes.
    Error 7 (Windows error 126)
I reinstalled maybe about 5 times or more...
If I thought I solved the above problem, this would appear:
iTunesHelper.exe is not installed on my computer.
I seen other people comment that you should unistall and restart the computer and install the setup again, but it does not work..
And others would say to repair the AAS or iTunes etc..
And after trying all these it does not work???
    What else works?

I also tried repairing the Microsoft NET.

For "Could not open key/write value" errors when reinstalling try b noir's user tip:
    "Could not open key: UNKNOWN\Components\[LongStringOfLettersAndNumbers]\
[LongStringOfLettersAndNumbers]" error messages when installing iTunes for Windows.
The technique can be applied to the branch of the registry mentioned in the error message.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

I got problem on installing iTunes. When I clicked iTunes out, two windows popped out. The error shares a similar pattern to that in the third box, so a similar approach should work. Look for CoreFoundation.dll in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support, delete it, then repair Apple Application Support.

  • I am having problems with installing Itunes 10.5 .With the windows installer

I am having problems with installing Itunes 10.5.It's the first time i dowload it,but every time het gives me an error message that a programm that was needed for installing didn't run.
    What can i do???

When I attempt the download for Itunes 10.6, I get an immediate response of ""Files shared by these updates" has an invalid signature. The download has been removed."
That's suggesting that the AppleApplicationSupport.msi is getting damaged during the download via Apple Software Update for Windows.
Are you able to get the 10.6  update to go through if you use an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file from the Apple Website?

I just installed iTunes on my new laptop.  When I click on the desktop icon I receive a pop up that says "The file iTunes Library.itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes".  I have no idea what this means or what to do about it.  I can't even find a file on my computer like the one referred to in the pop up.  I am currently considering keeping my old laptop if it is the only way for me to continue to access iTunes.  What should I do to fix this?

What version of iTunes are you using? An .itl file is something that Windows uses, or very old versions of iTunes on Mac. The library file on Macs is now .xml and has been since late iTunes 4.
Is iTunes running ok without any problems after you OK that message? If it is, then you may be able to ignore it if you can't account for why you're getting it. But make sure you take backups in case something happens in the future.

  • TS3212 Unable to instal Itunes in Windows 7 for want of a DLL file / installer error

Can anyone help me in installing the latest itunes.  I have downloaded the setup file.  When I try to instal, installation fails forwant of a DLL file / error in installer package.  What should I do to successfully instal.
I have been using Itunes for so many years.  But recently I formatted my laptop and installed the new OS, Windows 7.  Previously I was using Windows XP, I did not have problem.
Is there any solution by enabling or disabling any of the service features under administrative tools in the control panel ?

Although you're getting a different error message, try the procedure from the following user tip with that one:
"The administrator has set policies to prevent this installation" error messages when installing iTunes for Windows on Windows Vista and Windows 7 systems

  • Anyone having problems re-installing itunes 9.3 after uninstalling 10.1 version

I have Windows XP Vista 32, and had problem with Applesyncnotifier not found error msg. The message suggested I uninstall the itunes version I had (10.1) and re-install, which I attempted to do. However, since I have Windows Vista Win32 bit, the 10.1 is not compatible and causes another error msg to pop up. So, I uninstalled 10 and re-installed itunes 9 on my PC. Now, I cannot open my itunes library and get the following error message. HELP!!
"The file itunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it was created in a newer version of itunes"
Please if anyone know how to get my Library to open, let me know.
    Thank you.

That's a load of bull excrement.
Instead of trying to use an old version of iTunes, install the current version from http://apple.com/itunes/download.

  • Problems with installing iTunes x64

    Hello,
I was trying to install iTunes, but I didn't succeed.
I got the following error message:
An error occured during the installation of assembly

It has finished installation though, but doesnt work...

You did a good job with the error message, gum.

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also  800736FDs, or a different error code? If they're different, what codes are you getting in Windows Update?

  • Problem of installing iTune

    Hello Folks!
I've been trying to install the latest version of itunes on XP and not having much success. I only get so far before this particular message comes up:
Error writing to file: c:\Program files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\CFNetwork.resource\Fi.lproj\Localalizable.  strin gs. Verify that you have access to that directory.
This is all a bit bewildering to me.
I uninstalled everything to do with Apple from my computer several times and tried re-installing itunes only to encountered the same problem.
I would very much appreciate any help anyone could extend to me to overcome this problem. I miss itunes already!
    Thanks,
    Alvin

Error writing to file: c:\Program files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\CFNetwork.resource\Fi.lproj\Localalizable.  strin gs. Verify that you have access to that directory.
That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?
