TS3221 Ipad error code 0xE8000024

I tried to restart my Ipad last night and now it won't turn back on. When I tried to connect it to Itunes this morning I got this error code 0xE8000024. Any idea what could be wrong with my iPad?

  • Cannot Restore iPad2 - Error Code 3173?

    Never had an issue with an Apple product before.
    Windows 7 Home Premium
    iTunes 10.5.0.142
    iPad 4.3.5
    Attempted to update iPad software to 5.0 and got the error code "cannot restore iPad - error code 3173"
    Freaked out and disconnected the iPad and it seems fine, no data/information loss and it DID NOT update as it is still running version 4.3.5.
    No other external USB ports in use, never had an issue updating previously.
    Thoughts/ideas/fix?  Seems like a lot of people are posting asking for help with this but I don't see a fix anywhere.

    Good idea. I wish I had waited. My iPad2 will not Restore so it is hammered. My iPhone 3Gs is updating now so we'll see. But this is definately an Appple problem as all 5 devices at our house had one issue or another. My iPad2 fails with the unrelated error 1162. The USB driver does not install. For my iPhone 3Gs, the USB driver installed and the update is nearly complete. Oh, it's backing up now. I'll just have to see if it works but it is going much better than our iPads. The iPads seem to be the big issue.

  • New iPad Air can't connect to iTunes; device "times out"; no error code given

    my iMac (8 months old) is running 10.8.5 with latest version of iTunes.  When I try to connect my new iPaid Air with a cable, iTunes open, after a few seconds, a windows appears saying "iTunes cannot connect to the device named Peggy's iPad because device timed out".  no error code is given.  I have restarted my computer and the iPad various times and tried different USB ports on the iMac.  I am using the original lightning cable that came with the iPad to connect.  I didn't have this problem with my old iPad 2 or with my iPod touch.  I do not have any security software installed and no firewalls, etc.  Any suggestions on what is causing this problem?  Thanks.

    Recovery Mode
    1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
    2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
    3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
    Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.

    Itunes is throwing a -15000 error code on my Windows vista. Ipad and Ipod work great for streaming to remote speakers, trying to use the computer and it throws the error code.
    Any thoughts? I've rebooted the laptop, modem, and AE, even plugged in the laptop recommended by other users, still nothing.

    I'm getting Error Code: “This computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPad.” 
    I have tried re-authorizing and the error persists.
    I have also tried de-authorizing ALL my devices, then re-authorizing and that did not help either.
    My husband and I share this iPad and we have set up family sharing. 
    We have also each purchased apps using our separate iTunes accounts before I set up the family sharing. 
    How can we fix this error message so that I can back the iPad up to my Mac again? 
    Husband thinks that at some point we each synced the iPad to our respective Macs.  
    Could that be it?

    I'm not using family sharing, but if you want to sync or backup the iPad with ITunes, I believe that you have to be signed into the same ID on the iPad that you are signed into on the computer and you also have to be authorized for all Apple ID's on that computer that you want to sync or backup with.
    DO you have multiple iTunes libraries on the one computer?

    I was using the FB app that came with the iPad. What I eventually did was.
    1. Held down both home key and on-off button until iPad shut down, then rebooted.
    2. Uninstalled FB app.
    3. Went to App Store and re-installed FB app.
    The iPad had numerous problems. My son saw my plea on FB as I was accessing it through my HP computer, and he walked me through it. While he was at it, he taught me how to disconnect auto-correct. I am not certain that I want to keep that off, but everything is working the way it is supposed to  the way it was in the beginning. 
    I am curious, though, as to what ears to the problem in the first place. After checking various sites, it seems that a code 190 has to do with windows not Apple.

  • I am using an iPad 2 to view netflix and recieved an error code 144.  How do I fix this?

    The program just stopped and the screen went blank. I tried it again the next day and the error message said to try again later or select another movie. I tried again and tried selecting something else but got the same error code. 144.  Help?

    This is an iMac forum, the forum you want is the iPad forum. These are totally different machines and have different operating systems.

    It is listed, you just sort have to play around on the support site in order to find it.
    Error 2000-2009 (2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009, and so on)
    If you experience this issue on a Mac, disconnect third-party devices, hubs, spare cables, displays, reset the SMC, and then try to restore. If you are using a Windows computer, remove all USB devices and spare cables other than your keyboard, mouse, and the device, restart the computer, and try to restore. If that does not resolve the issue, try the USB issue-resolution steps and articles listed for Error 1604 above. If the issue persists, it may be related to conflicting security software. If the errors persist on another computer and known-good USB cable, the device may need service.

  • HT201413 Ipad Air in Recovery mode. Error Code 17

    My Ipad Air is currently in Recovery mode after several failed attempts to update the software.
    Error code 17 keeps coming up as I try to restore and update. Does any body know what error code 17 refers to?
    I am running Windows 7 with the latest version of iTunes, 11.1.4 64 bit.

Also, confirm your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers. If you still see the alert when you update or restore, contact Apple support.
    Common errors: 1, 10-47, 1002, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1000-1020.

    Any ideas how to fix a Error Code 201.
    When I try to connect to my DVR form the iPAd app, I get that message.  The TV seems to be workign fine, and the remote control function in the app works... but it's not gettgin any DVR info beyond the name of the boxes.

    I've been having the same problem and was just able to solve it on my own using Verizon's in-Home agent.  Here's how I did it. 
    The Problem
    When attempting to connect to the Cable Box using the Verizon iPhone or iPad apps, you get the message "Network connction to FIOS services timed out (201)" or something similar.  Everything works except for this: Your TV, your Internet, you Wifi network.
    The Solution
     From your desktop browser, go to http://www.verizon.com/inhomeagent, then download and install the in-Home agent application.
    Launch in in-Home Agent App, click on "Quick Fixes", and then click on "Troubleshooting TV Issues" 
    Click through until you're prompted to select the Set Top Box (STB) you're trying to connect to. Then click "Next."
    The agent will "send commands" to your STB.  When it's done, turn on your STB (if it's not already on) and your TV.  In my case, it said it was downloading and to wait a minute.  Then my picture came back.  This step may not be necessary to fix the problem, but it's what I did before attempting to use the iPhone/iPad apps.
    Try accessing again using your iPhone/iPad app(s).  If you're already connected, just use the refresh (circling arrow) button to check it out.
    This worked for me.  Let us know if it works for you.
