TS3274 Emailing from photos

I have an iPad 1 amd all of a sudden I can't email a picture in photos.  I touch the send icon, touch email, the email opens and in 3 seconds the email  disappears.

If the rest didn't help try Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart the app and see if it works normally.
Quit both Mail and Photos this way. Then reboot your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.

  • Trouble emailing from Photos for Mac

I'm having trouble mailing photos from Photos for Mac. When I go to the share icon Mail doesn't appear as an option as it did in iPhoto. Am I missing something?

Try this: Open Apple Mail and in the Mail application, select Preferences and then make sure that Mail is shown as your default email reader:
This should enable the Share option in Photos to find your Apple Mail email application.  If you're not using Apple's Mail application, but are instead using MS Outlook, then you'll need to employ a work-around for emailing photos from Photos, as described here:

  • How to email from photo in os x from my web browser gmail

I am trying to email a photo from the new app, Photos for os x. when I select mail within Photos, it opens the mail app on my mac. I have followed instructions to change the default mail setting to Google Chrome app. Once I did this, the option to mail a photo in Photos has disappeared. I also can not drag and drop a picture into an email I am composing on my web browser while in gmail. I have searched for solutions and can not find any. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can email a photo using gmail in my web browser? Thanks in advance for any help!

I have followed instructions to change the default mail setting to Google Chrome app
You can't do that as Chrome is not a Mail app.
In Chrome use the Media Browser when you click on the attach icon. Have read of this: it's written about iPhoto but a lot of it is still true - especially the first one:

  • "Send as email" from photo gallery makes "woosh" sound but email never sent

    Iphone 5 on AT&T
    iOS 6.1.4
Just one email account configured (exchange)
    Problem steps:
    - take a photo or choose one from the gallery
    - tap the "Send to" icon
    - select "mail"
    - create the email
    - touch "send"
Result: hear the "woosh" sound as if the email is sent.  However, the recipient never receives it, and it never appears in my "sent items" folder.
    The problem is reproducable.
If I touch "copy", then switch to the email app, create an email, then paste the photo into the email, it gets sent just fine - recipient receives it and it shows up in my "sent items" folder.
    Any ideas?

    Put the function call 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1'
in a report Program & SUBMIT that report from ZXPADU02.

  • In sending an email, a picture appears on my email from photo browser. I do not want any picture on outgoing emails and have no idea hoew it got there, but more importantly, have no idea how to stop it. can anybody help me?

can anybody tell me how to turn off photo browser in email? there is a picture that appears on all outgoing email that i want gone?

My instructions are specific to signatures.  If you know that it's not a signature then they won't make any difference.  Thomas A Reed has suggested another explanation.  Do you know that this picture is going out with your e-mails?  Have you seen an e-mail you sent on a recipients computer?  Try setting up a googlemail or yahoo account and send an email to it.  Does the picture arrive in the e-mail?

  • HT5902 how to stop emails from Photo Stream

I receive emails every time someone joins a Photo Stream.  Their is a link that reads
Don't Send Me Photo Stream Emails
but it does not work.  Anyone know how to stop the emails?

Would love to know what the deal is with this too. Bump

  • Different max photo sizes in emails, beams, photo stream?

I've noticed differences in file sizes when emailing photos from the iPhoto app, when inserting in an email, and when emailing directly from the photo.  I've found that iOS 6 is able to send the largest file when inserting it into an email. If I select email from iPhoto, the full size option is a fraction of that. If I email a photo directly from the photo itself, the full size seems to be somewhere in-between.  I sent a panoramic photo three times, once using each method. Each time I selected to send the FULL file sizes, and each time they were different:
    iPhoto: 1918K
    insert in email: 12004K
    email from photo itself: 3529K
Is there a reason iOS 6 does this?
Why are the full photo file sizes not universal?
Are the max file sizes being uploaded to photo stream?
What is the best way to get the largest photo jpg off of the iPhone aside from syncing?

    John,
You have several options for re-sizing photos, though (continuing from what V.K. has already stated). If you want to "customize" the size of each photo, you'll need to do so before you attach them to an email. They can be re-sized in iPhoto, or they can be opened in Preview and exported as whatever size you like.
If your images are in iPhoto, select one, then choose File>Export. Use the export dialogue to select the size and compression of the resulting file, save it to someplace like your Desktop, then attach it to an email. The choices, here, are the same as they would be within Mail, but will be applied on an image-by-image basis.

  • Email from LR 4.4

I'm using Windows 7 and Window Live Mail.  While in LR, when I select a photo or photos to email, I get a WLM window.  In that window I can select the size of the photo to email.  Regardless of what size I select, the email goes as a photo album and photos are resized to minimum.  There is no way to select the type of email from photo album to full size.

Hi, please try the following steps and see if can resolve your problem:
Open your current Preferences file, and delete the section I highlighted in the following image. This change will cause password lost for all your email accounts, will do not impact other settings. You just need to reset passwords in email account manager.
Preferences files is located at :OS drive:\Users\<Your user account>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences, Lightroom 4 Preferences.agprefs.
Please let me know if you still have problem.
    Thanks,
    Emily, Lightroom QE

I have several users in an exchange environment who cannot email a photo from the iPhone.  When the click on Email Photo, they are prompted to configure a mail account even though there is already an exchange account in place.  How do I remediate this?  Not all of the users in our environment have this issue.  If the users having this issue, install a secondary email account, Gmail, Hotmail, etc, then they can send through those accounts.  Why would the exchange account not be seen to send photos?

Sounds like it worked until the policies associated with the account that are creating the problem were fully pushed down.
Try setting up a new (test) Exhange account and see if it behaves the same way on the phone (after removing the problem account from the phone, of course).

    Hi, ireland a.
I would recommend closing any open applications in multitasking and restarting the device.  If unfamiliar with multitasking, I have included a screenshot on how to process an application close.
iOS: Force an app to close
Once these steps are processed, attempt to send the photo again.

The problem is with the new operating system  and sending photo via email when used in my iPad.
From photo I selected 3 photos to send via email. I choose the upload key and choose to send by email. Typing text on the email is very slow. This is solved by saving the email as a draft and opening the email again from mail.
Can you amend he system to allow emails to be sent from photo as previously.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"
