TS3274 I am unable to sign in my apple ID with my new ipad on initial setup

when I did the initial configuring of my ipad right after I press "Agree" to terms and conditions I get an error message " Could not sign In" , "Apple ID could not be created because of a server error. " This is confusing me because I dont need to create a new apple ID cause I already have one but it wont let me sign on with my old Apple ID.

I fixed my own issue.
I added the google dns to my list of dns.
System Preferences > Network > Advanced....
DNS button (tab)
click the + button under DNS Servers and add 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4
Now if only there was a solution that didn't require me to go through Google's creepy we-watch-everywhere-you-go DNS servers.
Oh well, it works for now.

It's a straightforward port-forwarding issue.
You need to forward ports to the internal ip address of your apple tv as follows:
TCP 123
TCP 3689
UDP 5353
TCP 80
TCP 4343
TCP 53
This may also solve other problems you may have with homesharing...

That does happen. It depends on how hard the server is being hit, as well as the connection speed of your system. If you are on a windows system, you will want to disable any antivirus or firewall software during the download.

Netflix unable to sign in on Apple TV (2nd gen)

Hi, I am experiencing a problem that has never occurred with my Apple TV before. Below is an iPhone photo I took of the screen that is giving me the error message of being "Unable to sign in."
What seems weird is how the message below has HTML tags around it. Seems very odd to me.
Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this problem? I logged into Netflix.ca, and it worked fine for me online with Safari.

Hi, i have recently purchased an i-phone 4s and had been merrily playing away and set up an i cloud account. However when i tried to access i cloud from my pc i couldn't verify it. I had to change my apple id because i no longer had access to my old e-mail. I managed to sort out my i-phone and change all the accounts to my new apple i.d (except game centre? don't know how to do that yet.) but when i signed out of my old i-cloud account on my pc and tried to sign in with my new apple id it just tries to connect (i get the i'm thinking about it wheel) for ages; not allowing me to log on.

Content (apps, music, ibooks, films etc) is tied to the account that originally downloaded it, so if the iBooks app was downloaded using the account that you used to share with your ex then only that account can download updates to it. As it's a free app you could delete it and re-download it under your own account - and then re-download your ibooks into it (or copy the books to your computer's iTunes first via File > Transfer Purchases and then sync them back to the app).

Welcome to the Support Communities! I understand you just changed your password for your Apple ID and now you can't log into Game Center. The first thing to do is to confirm your new password is working in other services that use your Apple ID. Are you able to log in at www.icloud.com or in the iTunes Store?

Is your Windows Vista 32 or 64 bit?
Does the problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
Is your video card/graphics card driver version up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card? How many video cards/graphics cards
does your computer use - one or two. Please verify with Device Manager/Display Adapters/.
Are you running the program from a User Account with Administrative Privileges? Even if you are, right click the desktop
icon for the program, select and apply Run As Administrator.
Have you gone through the remedies in the blog posts?
Uninstall the program the usual Control Panel way
Do a free ccleaner run through (regular cleaner and registry cleaner parts) to get rid of leftovers from incomplete uninstalls/reinstalls

Reinstall with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.
Please review and consider.
