TS3274 I lost sound to all my games what do I do?

I Lost sound to al my games..how o I get it back

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.
This support article from Apple explains how the side switch works.

  • After Firefox updated itself to 3.6.12 I lost sound regarding all facebook applications

after Firefox updated itself to 3.6.12 I lost sound regarding all facebook applications and videos. I have installed the latest flash and that doesn't solve the problem

After Firefox updated to 3.6.12, my homepage stated that I did not have the Flash Player installed. The latest player was installed, but I uninstalled and attempted to re-install. The installation process worked, but the Adobe Flash banner on their page does not Flash like when a proper install occurs. The Adobe DLM add on will not allow me to change options on Firefox Addon page. Now Flash content on homepage will not play, and I am forced to use IE to view content.

  • My ipad1 lost sound for all games but works fine for music, movies, etc. Thoughts?

    any suggestions?

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. The function that isn't on the side switch is set via the taskbar instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085

If that isn't the case then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • IPad3 lost sound for all apps.

My ipad3 sound works with headphone but not speaker
Any more. Tried many ways but still not working. Reset ,restart ...
Need to found out what to do.

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPad. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPad: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPad.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

I use an iPhone 4s i've encounter a problem with my phone that suddenly lost the sound when i'm playing games n listening to music but if there were an incoming call it is rang perfectly with sound.. Please help me.. I dont know what the problem is.. Thank you

    Hi Jefrizalo,
If you haven't already done so, you may want to restart or reset the iPhone:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
    Restarting your iOS device
    1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
    2. After the device has turned off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    Resetting your device
If your device stops responding, you can reset it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If the above does not resolve your issue, the next best step will be to restore your iPhone using a computer with iTunes. Please be sure to backup your iPhone first.

  • The sound on all my game apps is gone.  What can I do?

The sound or my game apps is suddenly gone. It seems to be working on other apps. It is not working for my keyboard either. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Someone said to make sure the side button is set to rotation and not mute in settings. I did and it was on mute. Don't know how this changed, but I was glad to fix it!

  • Lost sounds of all kinds

I'm not new to using the Iphone and I'm having some issues getting noise on my phone. I have no clicks, not music playing when I play ipod. I checked everything...even the mute button. I also have reset the phone through itunes. I recently updated the phone as well. Any suggestions.

This has happened to me a couple of times. It was solved after I plugged and unplugged a headset. It appears I am having issues with the switch in the headset plug.

  • Updated iOS 7.1.1 and lost sound

    Hi
I have just downloaded the new ios7.1.1 on my ipad and have lost all sound. Have checked my settings completed a hard reset with the home and off  key but still no sound any ideas what could be wrong. I have tried contacting apple but said over year warranty and would need to pay a 1 off incident fee to solve the problem which I didn't have until this update.

The posted "Official" fix does not work after switching apps. If you've lost sound in app and games but not in music or headphones, then try this. Close all current apps, go to settings, control center and turn off "Access Within Apps". Then do a soft reset with the home and sleep button. Your audio/external speakers will now work in apps. Apple broke the audio controller (pause/play/forward/back/volume) in the Control Center with their 7.1.1 update.

  • TS3274 my ipad 2 suddenly lost the sound.  all else works.

my ipad 2 suddenly lost the sound.  all else works.

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.
