TS3274 ipad mutes and shuts down when trying to watch streaming
My friend is having a problem with his ipad and all he could explain to me was there was no sound when he was trying to stream the same program i was in another city, 550 kms away. All i ended up doing was phoning him and suggestin he put his phone on speaker while i played the program through my phone for him after i told him to go to settings and check his "sound".
It would be mute , he could see the video image but no sound then the ipad would shut off..?
That same program will be on tonight too and it would be nice to get it fixed before that?
Any help please, would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.

Error Message and Shut Down When Trying to Add Security Policy
Acrobat 8.1.5 I'm trying to add a security policy. When I click on Finish, I get a message saying there has been an error and Adobe must shut down.
I've checked for updates, restarted Adobe, restarted my computer. Nothing is helping. Here's the details about the message:
AppName: acrobat.exe AppVer: 8.1.0.137 ModName: ppklite.api
ModVer: 8.1.3.0 Offset: 0012d2cb
I've confimed I'm using 8.1.5 in the Help section.
Running Windows XP Home Edition.
Any suggestions?

IPad 2 - email shuts down when trying to delete messages
Whenever I try to delete email messages, I click on "Edit", check the messages to be deleted. The red Delete button shows up and as soon as I touch it the entire email program shuts down and returns to the home page. The next "Delete Message" button does not show up before it shuts down. I uninstalled and reinstalled the account which helped, but the problem came back again. Any suggestions?
I normally would suggest that you have an email with a funky attachment that might be causing a problem. You could try going to your webmail in a browser - either on your iPad or on your computer - and look for an email with a large spreadsheet file, photo, video, or some type of attachment that might be too large for the iPad to read and delete the message from the server, restart your iPad and then try the Mail App again.
Here are some other generic things that you can try and maybe one of these will help.
Quit the mail app by double tapping the home button to bring up the multitasking/recents tray at the bottom, hold down on the mail app icon in the tray until all the icons wiggle, then tap the minus sign in the corner to quit the mail app. Tap the screen outside outside of the recents tray to go back to the home screen. Then restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears, then slide to the right to power off the iPad. Turn the iPad on again by pressing the sleep button until the Apple logo appears.
Try a hard reset by pressing and holding down on the sleep button at the top of the iPad while holding down on the home button at the bottom, until the Apple logo appears and the iPad restarts. -
Palm Desktop shuts down when trying to view calendar by month
I'm using a Palm TX with the latest edition of Desktop installed (I think that's 6.2). Everything is normal except, suddenly, I cannot view my calendar in monthly view. Daily, weekly and yearly all work fine. Desktop shuts down when trying to view in monthly view. I did a system restart, a Desktop reinstallation, a download of the latest version and installation of that version and, finally, uninstallment of the existing Desktop, download of the newest version and installation of that version. Nothing seems to enable me to view the calendar in monthly view. This is a spontaneous event. I've been running Desktop on a Vista Ultimate system since February without incident. I have no idea about how to solve this.
Thanks
Post relates to: Palm TXWell, here's where we are now. It's a good thing that I have desktop on my office computer because when I tried a Hotsynch with my home desktop, Hotsynch wiped out all the data on my handheld and then hung up both the handheld and desktop in the middle of the Hotsynch. I'm going to overwrite the entire handheld with the office desktop file. As for the home setup, I'm thinking the only thing I can do now is uninstall Palm and wipe out the entire directory of files. Am I correct about this? Do I need to do a clean uninstall?

My iPad 2 is shutting down when I try to email a PDF I have created in pages. Why? Very frustrating....
That is very interesting in that my iPhone was exhibiting similar behavior with the "blue screen of death" with Pages a few months ago. An update for Pages came out and when I installed the update, the problem disappeared.
Is Pages completely updated on your iPad? Do you use iCloud with Pages? If you use iCloud, try turning it off. settings>Pages>Use iCloud>Off. You will not lose your documents since they will still be in iCloud even if you turn that off on your iPad. -

</Event>The first error has nothing to do with Photoshop - that's some .NET application.
The second error is most likely connected to a third party plugin or driver.
And you're running Photoshop CC (14.x) instead of the current Photoshop CC 2014 (15.x). -

Soundtrack Pro Shuts down when trying to fix analized Action
Soundtrack Pro Shuts down when trying to fix analized Action
Thanks, I'll have to give that a try if there isn't an easier answer out there somewhere. If I pull the card will I have to reload the software and drivers?
If my project is saved and I have a copy of the project saved will I be able to reload Adobe without losing anything? What I mean is will I be able to just import my whole project once reloaded?
I just don't understand what could have happened, since I was doing this with no problem a couple of days ago.
Thanks for your help, it's greatly appreciated.

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details. We know nothing about your system, your printer, your print settings or for that matter from which CS4 app you are actually trying to print.

iPhone is 17 month old and shutting down when not connected to the mac any this I can do about it?
should I bring it to apple ?Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these steps in order until the issue is resolved.
Replacing or even suggesting replacing hardware without doing basic troubleshooting first is not very smart.
If basic troubleshooting does not resolve, take it to Apple for evaluation. There is no obligation to pay for anything, the evaluation is free. -
Iphone overheats and shuts down when charging ?
hello,
since i have had my iphone 4s replace in april my iphone overheats and shuts down when charging?
can anyone help?My 4S has recently shut down twice so far due to heat: Once in 100+ deg. in Arizona, when I left the phone in direct sunlight too long (that'll kill anything), and once just today, 96 deg. in Colorado, with the phone in my shirt chest pocket, not in direct sunlight. Each time, the phone was also encased in the hermetically sealed "Lifeproof" case, which probably contributed to heat build-up. If you're using a similar case with yours, either make sure to keep the phone in a cooler, shaded area, or just take it out of the case when the temps are this high. Definitely don't leave it in direct sunlight! In my case, although the 4S seems more heat-sensitive than my previous iPhones, I still find this behavior within acceptable parameters. But I wonder whether the overheating episodes might cause permanent damage...?
