TS3274 iPad starts to download imap emails then stops, like it is stuck

My iPad recently stopped downloading incoming emails from my imap account. It will download my sent mail, drafts, etc. the bar at the bottom comes up and shows downloading 1 of 20 . Then it stops. It seems like it is stuck. I have no problems with my yahoo account, it's just one account and only my incoming mail. Help!

Have you tried a Reset? [Hold the Home (bottom centre) and Sleep/Wake (top right edge) buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is 'appsolutely' safe

I have had my IPad for about 8 months and only recently it has started charging to 1% and then stopping. Only allowing me to use it for about a minute. Is this happening to anyone else? Why is this happening? What should I do?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
And this - Unplug the charger from the iPad and then replug. May resume charging.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

Cant set facetime on my ipad gets as far as verifying email then stops

i tried using facetime on my ipad 2 when enter everything and sign in ,i get verifying email then it goes back to sign in again .

I have the same problem. Unfortunately, the troubleshooting link you added has the first step listed as "Verify that FaceTime is enabled in FaceTime > Preferences" which we (the original poster and I) can't do as our Preferences are greyed out. We can't click on them to verify anything.
In FaceTime itself it's verified my apple id (also double checked via the site) and then it says the email is "verified" but then it freezes and after a minute or so it says "Could not verify the email address. Please check your network connection and try again."
After checking the network connection, it still doesn't work. It's rather frustrating as it all worked fine until about a week or two ago.
Any help would be appreciated.

Curve 8520 starts loading the bar halfway then stops

I was just using whatsapp before this and it was going very slow and then when I would click on whatsapp, there would be a message saying uncaught exception or something like that so then I pulled the battery out and it never started properly after that but would just load the bar about 2/3 of the way and then stop.
I've tried charging it, it was fully charged before though and I've left it out the whole night and it still isn't working?
It's a Curve 8520 with OS v.5

Please try to start your device in Safe Mode KB17877 ( after inserting the battery before the loading begain and red led blinks just press and hold the Escape key for a min .after loading complete it will give you an option to start in safe mode ) and then uninstall whatsapp,and it will be nice if you recall the error message you recieved and let us know.

I have a MacBook Pro, iPhone and Ipad. For over 4 months i've been receiving email on all three devices. Then all of a sudden my iphone and ipad can't download my email. Have i accidentally done something so only my MacBook Pro can download/receive email?

You have 10.6 on that machine, I suggest you stick with it for performance, third party hardware and software reasons as long as possible.
Consider 10.8 (not 10.7) when it's released, because 10.7 and 10.8 will require a new investment in software and newer third party hardware as it requires newer drivers the old machines won't have. (forced upgrade because of software, really nice of them)

Far as your Safari problem do these things until it's resolved:
1: Software Update fully under the Apple menu.
2: Check the status of your plug-ins and update (works for all browsers) also install Firefox and see if your problems continue. You should always have at least two browsers on the machine just in case one fails.

Mail POP sill start pulling down emails, then stop

I have been killing myself on this quirky malfunction.
using mac mail that for months worked fine it now starts to pull emails down from the server, after about 20 messages you see the kb/m drop to zero and it just stops. I can click around and change settings if i want, i can read other emails. but the program is in a "partial hang" it won't sent emails and it won't finish POP-ing the rest of the messages. and it won't quit. i have to force quit.
if i open mac mail and send a message it works fine. so long as i don't "get new mail"
i have done the following things to try to resolve the issue.
-re-install from leopard disc
-delete com.mail.plist file
-delete accounts and re create
-rebuild database for the inbox
-deleted recent emails from the server and the client side
in testing with another machine i can pop fine
on yet another machine i can imap just fine as well.
what else can i do. please help. my auntie's small business is depending on me to fix this ASAP

i received help on another thread about this problem. here it is:
quit Mail and delete the file home directory/library/mail/MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded3. then start mail and try downloading your pop messages again. note that this will cause mail to redownload ALL POP messages. so if you don't want doubles you may want to make a local mailbox in "on my mac" section and move the contents of your POP inbox there first before trying the above.

I did the same as Tapmr and have paused the "upgrade". So am I to understand that the upgrade only downloads and will not automatically install it? I am an extreme novice here, and cannot afford any issues after I upgrade/download. I don't know how to make a clone copy as you suggested either.

IPad Mail stealing my IMAP emails?

my work email is IMAP but for some reason if my iPad gets an email before my Macbook does (using Mail) i never get the email on my Macbook? Its like is running POP and pulls from server but its not.
any ideas?
also i noticed that all the emails i read on my macbook showed as unread on my iPad?
very strange for IMAP to do this kind of thing.

This is not strange for an IMAP account to do this. This is exactly what an IMAP account does and is designed to do. All server stored mailboxes with an IMAP account are kept synchronized with the server automatically with each email client used to access the account, including the read status for a message. Read a received message with the Mail.app on your Mac and the message will be marked as read automatically when checking the account's Inbox mailbox with the iPad's Mail application, and vice-versa.
Edit - I read what you provided wrong. I mistakenly saw unread as read on your iPad.

HT1459 I have anew new ipod Nano. I am trying to download itunes. It seems to download and starts the load process and then stops on the final innstall screen.

I have tried the processseveral times. same basic results. a couple of time it says it finished but there was an issue and nothing installed.

This is a Microsoft Windows Issue.

Choose Authorize Computer from the Store menu in iTunes and enter your iTunes Store account information. Changing the hardware configuration may cause iTunes to think it's on a different computer.

I have a new Officejet 6500. It printed from my iPad perfectly for one day and then stopped.

The printer is a 6500 E710n-z. It is supposed to support airprint and in fact, did for a day. Now when I try to print an email from my iPad, the messages on the ipad show contacting printer and preparing page. Then nothing. It appears to have sent the email to the printer but nothing shows up in the queue. The only difference between day one and day day was I set up the fax on day two
